When Stacey ate the balut in one go, the girls were shocked because she ate the whole thing, including the chick! Some people only eat some parts (yellow and white part with the balut soup or amniotic fluid) of the balut while excluding the chick. I am a Filipino and I eat balut but not the chick lol. And yes the bones of the chick during this time is still soft but kinda crunchy. Depending on the age (weeks) maybe of the chick. So you can just munch into it! We also use spiced vinegar. A very good combination with balut!
Stacey is used to eating balut among the Binis perhaps because her hometown is near Cabanatuan City where duck eggs are processed. There are nearby duck farms in the area. Balut has at least 4 solid parts: the chick, the soft yellow yolk, some soft white, and the hard white part (not edible). Not all Filipinos eat the chick. Personally, I don't eat the chick because of the texture and "hair"/feathers.😂
When I vacationed in the Philippines and tried balut, I thought it looked ugly but it's really delicious! I loved the "soup"! It tasted like normal boiled egg to me, just a bit saltier. I've never eaten a balut that's been cooked as some kind of dish, that's new to me! As for fish, you can try this thing they call "Rellenong Bangus" (pronounced Rel-yeh-nohng Bah-ngoos) which is some kind of stuffed milkfish. It's very soft, you also don't have to worry about the fish bones because a properly prepared one doesn't have bones. For restaurants, I can recommend ones I've been taken to! First is called "Barrio Fiesta" and the other one is "Kamayan". Both of them are really good restaurants in the Philippines and they basically have all Filipino dishes you could ever desire.
Balut can be eaten as is Pierre. After boiling the eggs for 30-40 mins you can peel a hard boiled balut and enjoy it as is or with pinch of salt or splash of vinegar to taste. The dishes they ate at Dos Hermanas are different Balut varieties we've come up here in Pateros. Basically, any Filipino meat dish with sauce (not soup) can be substituted with hard boiled Balut meat. (e.g. Adobo is usually chicken meat or Kaldereta is usually pork or beef.) I hope this helps! ❤️ I'm originally from Pateros and Dos Hermanas is truly a famous resto visited even by local celebrities for their balut delicacies when I was growing up...
I can only imagine, all the stories their Driver has all through out the years they've been driving BINI xD The funnny, Sad, Struggles, and quiet times when they're just wiped out from a performance. It would really be an experience on it's own I bet. The way Stacey ate the Balut is most recommended especially if you're the type that get's grossed out with looks. Balut is actually really yummy despite the looks, tastes just like regular egg with a small chicken inside xD Balut is usually sold in a heated/warm container so the soup of the egg is nice and warm, with a bit of salt and vinegar it's really good like chicken soup. And regards to Fish in general, Seafoods in the Philippines is TOP TIER as we are an Archipelago and Seafood is a staple. So I bet you'd find some seafood dishes in the Philippines that would change your mind otherwise to fish xD
What Stacey ate as part of the consequence was A HARD BOILED BALUT PIERRE! HAHAHAHA I was laughing the whole time with your reaction (and maybe thoughts) that she was eating it RAW and fresh hahahahaha IT'S HARD BOILED like a normal chicken egg. Also, here are the Balut dishes I recognized on the clip (with original used meat for the dish): Adobong Balut (chicken or pork meat) Sizzling Sisig Balut (fried pork snout/ears) Sweet and Sour Balut (any type of fish) Kalderetang Balut (beef or pork meat) Fried Balut Hard Boiled Balut They also ate Fried Itik (Fried Duck/Mallard) Inutak (A sweet dessert made with glutinous rice, coconut milk and cream, ube/purple yam and sugar.) The sweet dessert was named after "UTAK" because the consistency and texture is somehow like an actual brain)
Hi pierre, balut is a nice food and actually its delicious, you can try it when you came here in Philippines this year, We are excited also for BINI roadtrip to Baguio reaction Vid after all episodes of roadtrip to manila. There's a lot of funny moments also there and chaos 😂😂😂 Stay safe pierre and Maraming Salamat po..
Everywhere here in the Philippines u can buy balut ...balut vendor will shout BALUTTTTTT PENOY.......EATING balut we dip it in salt sometimes in vinegar wit
Omyyyy your humor is becoming more & more like BINI 😭 I’m loving it 😂🌸 Also, balut is myyy favorite 🥹 i miss eating it in the Philippines 🥹 You should try it when you get to the Philippines BINI Pierre
Welcome back Pierre! Balut is a special pinoy delicacy but I never eat it cause of the chick inside it haha but I like Penoy the one without the chick its like hardboiled egg but with a slight different in taste..and yeah that's what I love about Stacey she's always so energetic and effortlessly funny..
Most probably, the girls are only eating the yolk and not the embryo because they're still overwhelmed with that part that's why they can say the dishes are delicious. lmao
to enjoy eating Balut just do what Stacey did...wholly put it in your mouth & don't think what's inside (anyway it's cooked & tasty & healthy)...never examine the egg before eating it hahaha
Balut is a hard boiled egg, it's just that it has been cooked within 14-21 days after it was laid (most likely cooked when the embryo is already forming inside the egg).
hey there Pierre, hope you doing ok.. glad you're back at it doing reactions vids.. 0:44 actually this is not their last Manila roadtrip.. i think the next two will still be in Manila at Binondo, the oldest China town in the world.. not spoiling anything but there's gonna be a lot of food there in those episodes.. and them giving out flyers will be there too..
Pierre, Balut is normally eaten in the uncooked state (just like what Stacey did). Cooked balut is just another way to use it as an ingredient to Filipino dishes like Adobong Balut to the Adobong Manok (Chicken Adobo) and Adobong Baboy (Pork Adobo). It is a duck chick, so normally, you can feel the bones, beak and maybe feathers when you eat it. You may not eat those parts if you don't like it. There is also a hard part inside of it (the white one) which we don't usually eat. It is really delicious, but what makes it feared is the visual of it and the mindset that you are eating an unhatched chick. Put those away, you have a good, delicious egg.
The balut is actually cooked already. The one Stacey ate is already boiled. It’s actually pretty tasty. You just need to put a little salt and vinegar. It’s just disgusting for some because you see the aborted duck fetus, with the feathers. There’s another duck egg called Penoy which still doesn’t have the formed embryo but it still a fertilized duck egg. Also pretty tasty. Pateros, the name of the city, actually comes from the word “Pato” which is the Filipino word for duck.
Balut did not come from chicken. It came from mallard ducks. Stacey might eaten the whole balut but there is a part of it that is kinda hard to chew. We call it bato (stone). I don't eat it. They can eat those cooked baluts because they can just go eat the yellow part and not the actual chick. But some of them they can eat them all but Mikha and Colet might be picky eating it. Just a regular vinegar. These episodes were filmed just after they were launched so that they can gain fans.
We do have lots of kinds of Vinegar like made from Coconut and made from Cane vinegar I personally like the Cane one as it is made from sugar cane and it has that sweet and sour taste to it added some spices it is the best to pair with fried foods.
The behind the scenes clips aren't translated, so I'll attempt to help you with a few tagalog. The timestamps I'll point out below references your reaction vid: 22:16 = Maloi: "This can be samgyup (samgyupsal), just wrap it here." she's using the chinese meatbun bread and trying to be clever. 22:20 = Jhoanna & Aiah are admiring how mature the chick is. J: "he has feathers already, see?" A: "He's biiiig!" 22:25 = there was a cut in between so I do not know the context of what Aiah was saying. I think she was about to make a comment on the chick but was cut off by Jhoanna: "Hala (Oh no!)! Nahulog ([It] fell!)" "Hala" doesn't have a direct translation. It's an expression that can have many different meanings depending on the context. Hulog = fall (root word; verb); Nahulog = fell (past tense) 22:56 = Stacey: "The hard part is tasty as well" (I think she's referencing the egg white that's rock hard, or she's referencing the chick's bones and beak. Not sure) Jhoanna: "Yah my favorite is the hard part. The one where (it's hard enough) you're about to choke already" Aiah: "Me yes, very yes, ever since (I was) a kid." Stacey: "Hard enough that even if you swallow, you could still feel chunks of it in your throat" 23:08 = I don't get the context of what Stacey was saying. If I were to guess, she was about to say something inappropriate and caught herself.
HI pierre i have a req can you do a reaction video on the Robi D goes PPOP Ep 2 BINI IS BORN TO WIN cuz that is fun to watch for me hehe just wanna share it🖤
We use a coconut vinegar where a bunch of stuff is added to make it very tasty mostly spices. Vinegar will basically is the one that makes balut tasty. BALUT w/o vinegar is a nono for me.
You really want to try the balut?! oh pierre, my sweet summer child. edit: The reason some of them are disgusted because, not all filipinos likes to eat balut. it is literally boiled unborn duckling. especially mikha, "raised on the silver spoon" type of girl.
Oh Sir Pierre, I think you should somehow try fish. Since you are grossed out about it, at the very least try sampling a fried one. Thoroughly frying fish surely eliminates that slimy and smell of raw meat from it. And by the way, all those fish entrails (gills and digestive track) are removed anyway before doing any seasoning or cooking. 😊

Stacey and Jhoanna are the notorious balut eaters in Bini. You will see in Batangas series. 😂

Balut did not come from chicken. It came from mallard ducks.

Just a regular vinegar.
These episodes were filmed just after they were launched so that they can gain fans.
You are delulu now ❤
Hope u’ll get good news! Magandang umaga, kuya Pierre! 🫡💜
We put in a large amount of Chili's on vinegar that is why it's called special
19:10 when you eat the duck it's absolutely tender and so soft I just keep my eyes closed while eating 😆
We do have lots of kinds of Vinegar like made from Coconut and made from Cane vinegar I personally like the Cane one as it is made from sugar cane and it has that sweet and sour taste to it added some spices it is the best to pair with fried foods.

Balut is basically fertilized duck egg.
Pierre i have a question.. What is your favorite ship in BINI?
Hambebe
Jhocey
Mikhaiah
Macolet
It’s believed that Balut is an aphrodisiac to make stronger in the night especially in a married couples😂

Stacey, aiah, gwen and jhoanna is the only bini member who ate balut. But jhoanna doesnt eat a chick. And fyi balut is stacey's favorite hehe
