i recommend collecting for not extremely fun, but a good way of making good money. just talk to your friends or listen to youtube/music/podcast while collecting.

Only thing I hate, is that it takes so long, if you sell smaller items after a while itll take a moment to refresh. Super annoying
@@needfood3052 yes that happen to me when selling all of my collectables. Also you can place markers on the map where the collectables are. You can mark up to 12 markers.

Great idea to combine the roles and solo, was trying to figure out an efficient way to make money in my 1-2 hours a day I play. The 12 markers for coins + one coin map will probably do the job.

For new pc players, heres some things that i reccomend NOT buying to save your money:
The high roller revolver
The lock pick
A medium delivery wagon
Double action revolvers
The evans repeater
And consider buying a bolt action rifle and a lancaster repeater asap
Forget online, beat the story first! Seriously. I'm addicted to RDR2 online, but the story is where the real game is!
Gray K I know this is late, but to own to large delivery wagon you have to have the medium delivery wagon as well. I waited till rank 10 so I could skip the medium delivery wagon, only to find out that I needed to have the medium one (which I have never used). Personally, I recommend getting the medium delivery wagon as soon as possible, because you will be earning more money and role xp than you would selling with the small one
Locations are in 3 day cycles, they change every day at 5pm Pacific/8pm Eastern time.
This would be great.....if the animals still existed
The problem is that animals don’t spawn due to player activity in your area. I thrive in bayou and the animal spawns sucked.
Moved to Grizzlies and the spawns were frequent and good!
Edit: so in short, go to a location that isn’t player inhabited for trading.
@@braden2206 nah, seems like they fixed animal spawn now. I always see crocs and stuff in the bayou, and now i even see full herds of bison out in the fields near Valentine

A little tip: to prevent the target from escaping, tie him up, get away from him so the button prompts to cut him free disappear and keep kicking him/her and once they get knocked out, it's impossible for them to escape
Yeah but only do that if you are playing alone because there is a glitch were if you do it with others the target can die for them even if you just kick them.
I do this just cuz they annoy me so I start kicking them in the head lol
Or Get The Reinforced Lasso as soon as you unlock it and then they'll never be able to get free whilst you transport them back to Police station, Sheriff's or Prison Wagon.
@@gordonjamescowiest not true they can still get out of reinforced they even do it right when you decide to turn them in ive had bounties fail cuz theyll break out right at 30 seconds....knock them out its easier

Just finding all collectables gives you $4k and levels you up a ton. It's definitely the best way to go. Granted it usually takes me all day to get all the collectables. I've so far made $14,000 from just this.
True trader camp started as primary for me now is a distant second for income

There's another method that may be better. instead of doing the smaller bounties while simultaneously collecting items, do the Etta Doyle legendary bounty (which is easy if done right) and in between its 1 hour cooldown collect collectibles from one State to the next. I usually do the bounty first thing in the morning and during its cooldown, I start at tumbleweed and head east.

I wanted nothing more than to focus on the trader role when it was announced. It's been full of bugs since release though I've honestly lost interest. Now it's working but just seems like a tedious grind finding animals. I'm honestly kind of burnt out on the hunting because it's all I've done since launch.
if you are in a solo session like me, you just walk out of camp and there are animals everywhere, and I am burnt out from hunting too, like the amount of hunting ive done could extinct all the bucks and deers in the world.

Good advise, and what a great map this person made for us to use! FYI...Don’t forget to reset your awards that can be reset. You make XP and GOLD NUGGETS when you do. You can reset them up to 10 times (some are not able to be reset). Check you awards through the progress area in the pause menu. Get on daily and complete at least 1 challenge to keep the streak going so you earn more gold/XP. It takes about 5-6 hours but you should be able to gather EVERY collectible, do that once a week and your money will grow
This is a very good map to use, I've been using this map for some time now
Knock your bounty out after you hogtie them keep the lasso equipped and hit r2 on them until they knock out then you can go about your time without them running off
That tip where you can turn in the bounty at any jail is awesome. Thanks that’s going to change my strategy a lot.
My honor is max and i get stealing mission for resupply all the time... I guess the type of mission might more likely be random
I know a Method too.
Do the etta doyle Mission and after you catch her put her in the bounty Wagon than wait in Front of the Police Station for 30 Minutes ( dont go afk because it is possibly that enemies spawn) and than complete the mission. Everytime you complete the mission you get arround 220-280$
For grinding trader business material, Cumberland forest is the best place to set camp so far. It's just right beside Valentine so you can hunt for pigs and sheep in the sty at the north part and northwest part of Valentine. 2 and 3 star carcasses guaranteed.
If your camp happened to be at the top of the open field in Cumberland forest, make sure you take the north route/entrance to Valentine, there'll be a hill between some cliffs to use to get down to Valentine from your camp. It's just a 10 to 15 seconds trip and hunt at night, no one will be there to report your crime for slaughtering pigs and sheep.
EDIT - Read my reply to his comment for updated way.
For the bounty missions don't wait till the last 30 seconds. just wait out to just under half the final timer you get once you have the option to kill or capture. its more efficient that way. if you wait out the timer down to around 30 seconds, you are only getting about 10% more than you would if you waited until half the timer.
For example, if you turn in a bounty fast and it gives say, $7-$10 and the timer is around 10 min, and if waiting for the half way mark (4:59 to be safe) on the count down would give you around $20, then waiting the additional time (4 1/2 min longer wait) would only get you about $2 more for the same time it took to go from $10-ish to $20.
Also, the time given affects the payout, a bounty with a 15 min timer that's turned in after waiting for it to reach under 7:30 is going to pay out more than a bounty with a 10 min timer thats turned in after the 5 min mark.
So i learned there is a better way to earm money from the bonty hunter role, I cant remember the video it came from but there is a hidden timer that starts when you begin the bounty after selecting it from the bount board, from there the payment increases every 3 minutes from that time, 12 minutes being the recomended time to turn them in. after 15 minutes the intervals change to 5 minute intervals and thats where the 25 or 30 min wait time applies to legendary bounties
TLDR hidden timer starts at bounty board, turn in at 12 min (set a counter/stop watch at the start of the bounty to keep track) Legendary bounties, turn in at either 20, 25, or 30 min mark at start of mission, dieing during the legendary bounty and restarting cp causes timer reset

I've just sold all of my collectors items. Had 10 of EVERYTHING, that i kept getting slowly and steady in the last month. It was 140 collections, worth 40250 Dollars and 210000XP. I went from level 330 to 350. LOL
Do they all have set locations, or is it random?
@@bladxn Everything have a set location, but there are 3 sets of location for everything that'll cycle every day. If you got a card today in a shack, tomorrow it wont be there, same in the next day, but in the third day the card will be there. Sorry for my bad explanation, my english is crap...

@@meridianline4022 There are 4th locations, but not for everything. Since you'll need the whole set, it isnt that great. Also, you'll get random goods from fallen enemies, arrow tips from some "random" events like animals spawns, dogs calling you also will give you antique bottles.

Bounty Hunting system is identical to the stranger mission system
For bounties do Etta Doyle in 5 stars difficulty because the mission is so easy that it's a cake walk. Once Etta says that they need to get out of the location hogtie her and go near the yellow circle then go afk while reading the catalogue for half an hour to get more money above 250
Doing this methodic grind is a lot more fun in GTA. Just for the part of having to search on the internet for collectables locations and waiting for the last minute to deliver a bounty target breaks the immersion for me. I play RDO a lot but differently from GTAO, I rather do the stuff I enjoy and after all I don't need this much money if there is not many stuff to buy at this point.

Just saying in west Elizabeth there is 1 area that I keep finding deer's everywhere! Its on big valley and up north to some type of mini flat plains. Your camp can also be in that place.

Collecting everything give y more than 4k and about 40k in xp, but y dont get alot of gold. Also collecting takes 5-7h if your unlucky if its day 3,

If you are selling out of gapetooth ridge, you can do a stranger mission from the sheriff and you'll have a solo session for about 10-15 mins

plazma 1 just focus on the coins and jewelry collection from the online map. Should take less then the time you have and will still pay good.
There is a really good app for collecting things it’s called RDO Collector and it shows where every single collectable that day is. It’s free and it doesn’t require any membership or anything.
if you only do collectors job with the map, that'll give you around $4000 without those huge investments for those trader wagons.
The best place to hunt is in tall trees above aurora basin there's a cougar spawn there and u can get 5 three star cougars in under 25 minutes, it fills up your materials in 1 trip as long as you have the hunting wagon

The professional is right but I recommend the hunting missions when your camps in Great Plains. And use GTA Series videos for alll the collectibles. For all 6 cycles!

If you want to stock up the trader business I suggest get rank 20 for naturalist and kill legendary animals to donate their skin to Cripps it fills materials quick and easy
Helpful tip for some people who aren't doing this already
Mark the Coins/Jewelry/ect. collectibles by area (Tumbleweed, Armadillo, Blackwater etc.) so you collect them all at once instead of going back and forth and doing one set at a time.

Professional, I found a way to get a vehicle into the bombushka in gta5, it's simple all you have to do is put the vehicle right outside of the back door and get another car to push the vehicle into the bombushka. The patch was meant to keep players out of the cargo hold but you could still push the vehicle into the bombushka without being in the vehicle.
Or you just remove the upgrades and the barrier is gone. lol

You are the reason I make money, else I'd be broke. Bounty hunting doesn't pay that well all the time. I usually do a legendairy bounty and after collect using you're map until the bounty is back
Yeah... no. Forget trader and bounty, just do collectibles, and not just coins first. Collect everything in 5 hours and get RDO$ 4000 and 30000 XP.
Don’t say doing only collectables is boring. This video is supposed to be a money guide, and collecting all 164 items is how you make the most money the fastest.
Also, you collecting coins and your friend delivering bounty’s is not solo.
COINS, all Jewelry and then Heirlooms and Arrow Heads, then you should have a full large wagon to sell if you've been being a good little Trader, because that ranks as fast as Collector, sell it locally for $500.

3k or more a day for a couple of hours play.
But if you're smart you're hunting prey birds and water birds as you do the rounds too.
If you have the upgraded materials satchel, that's 300-500 bucks there too.
It's dead easy really.
Just don't view Trader or Bounty Hunter as money makers alone, Trader gives you some perks that make hunting better and even more money, but that's it.
Collector finds and hunting are your money makers.
Bounty Hunter with the last 30 seconds trick, combined with daily challenges, especially streaks, is your gold.
Trader, especially as you LVL up, is an XP generation machine, even more than Collector if done right.
Why don't you knock the bounties out? Saves cash on getting the reinforced rope right away and basically negates the chance of them ever braking free and running.

You failed to mention that you need to have the business already (I know it's basically implied but still). What's the best way to get gold so we can purchase these businesses if we're playing non-funded (real life money invested)/we don't have them already?
Just do your story/stranger missions and loot every corpse. Also do all your dailies. I just started myself but easily get 10 gold bars a day to unlock a new role
I collect all 164 collectables in a day for $4200 plus 20000xp and also there's xp for finding them
Thanks to this update i went to rank 63 to 272 and i earned so much gold and money for the last few weeks that i bought everything i still wanted to buy but didn't had enough to everything i had 20 gold bars and 600$ or so when the update dropped and now i have 235.92 gold bars and 53307.59$

GTA is not everything. You should give Red Dead Online a try it is also a great open world game and I would rival it with GTA Online.
