- This was from last December when we asked him to remove the piping from our property that’s attached to his sump pump and discharging constantly on our driveway. We had asked him 2 weeks earlier to do it but he didn’t, so we knocked on his door...
Where is the fence??? Update us!!!

Yeah the neighbors on both side of house use just walk across my yard to each others house and one use to let his dog run loose to crap in mine and other neighbors yard. I put an end to all that when I had fence put up and they hate it to this day.

Unfortunately over this side of the pond this is how we all have to live, small country lot of people. The amount of space these neighbour's have would be considered good here. I'm lucky, I live in a relatively low density county but, more houses are being built so how long will that last? I don't know.

My neighbor is on 5ac, mine is 15ac but he still terrorized my husband & I. He took down fences, came onto our property in the middle of the night vandalizing, burlarizing our home/barns, threatened to kill us, killed our dog, shot arrows at our cattle, this continued even after my husband had a stroke and several heart attacks. The thug said he wanted more land and more money but didn't want to pay for it. The sob & his buddies tormented us for over 10yrs until one day the 2 wives were killed. Evil is everywhere, envy a norm it seems.
This makes me realize how great my neighbors are☺️☺️☺️
He should get fined for improper use of 911! I am so sorry that you have to deal with someone like this. The other thing sadder than his poor behavior is the fact that he is teaching his kids that this is acceptable. If he wants to be that particular he needs to buy a piece of land with no neighbors for miles.

I had a neighbor like this. He put a motion-sensor light on the side of his house pointing at my house and swimming pool. Everytime you opened the door flood-lights in your face. I went over to ask him to point them away from my backyard and he called the cops on me. Heres the kicker though, my small town has an ordinance saying its illegal to shine lights onto other peoples property"trespass by light" so he got a $50 fine and I laughed.

I have a story for you. Grab a cup of coffee, because it’s a bit long. Two weeks before we took possession of our new home, I was doing a preliminary walk-through with the developer/builder. When we went outside, along the side of the property, he stopped, looked at me, pointed to the ground, and asked me if I authorized “this”. I had no idea what “this” was. Our soon-to-be next door neighbor had spent the prior weekend trenching from his property, crossing onto to ours, then trenched the entire length of our property, where he buried PVC pipe that connected to each of his gutter downspouts, draining his gutters onto the property we were purchasing! Not only that, but he had removed soil from the freshly graded property, that had just been inspected and signed off by the county (we are required to have a specific minimum slope away from our foundation). He took this soil from our future property and distributed onto his property.
Again, the developer/builder asked if I had authorized the work, as the drain pipes had an incorrect pitch, they weren’t installed deep enough, they were held together with duct tape, and the idiot had daylighted the terminal end with a white PVC bathroom shower drain sticking out through the landscaping mulch. It would be a matter of a couple of years before the pipes would clog, leaving us with the expense of having them professionally cleaned out, replaced properly, or removed altogether - and dealing with a neighbor complaint about water backing up on his property. I told him I was under contract with his company, and couldn’t enter into another contract for work to be done on the property either (1) until we signed the final documents in about 10 days; or (2) without his explicit permission (this would typically be to have designer wallpaper or custom chandelier hung, etc). I also reminded him that, technically, this was still HIS property until the closing date. He said, “Yeah, you’re correct!”, and he then turned to his assistant and told him to give the neighbor three days to remove the drain pipes. If it wasn’t done, he ordered it to be obliterated!
Within a day, this neighbor POS had squeezed my personal email out of the HOA board, and contacted me, saying he had “a matter to discuss” with us. I forwarded the email to the builder, telling him we were staying silent, and the builder could proceed with his plans. Neighbor reported to builder that everything had been removed. Nope! Only the visible gutter downspout PVC pipes and the bathroom shower drain were gone. The underground pipes remained, so the builder’s team pulled out the piping, intentionally cracking, splitting, crushing (obliterating) every single length. The property had to be graded with new soil, inspected, and recertified by the county. The neighbor’s reaction? He decided that we were his enemy, and from that moment on, he made just about every day a living hell for us. Two and one-half years of Neighbor From Hell (NFH). He finally moved a month ago, and before he left, he told the surrounding neighbors that he had been “punishing” us all along “for being bad neighbors to him”! What?! NFH absolutely terrorized us, and took great pride in each ‘salvo’ of punishment. One outcome.....we are now legally concealed carry individuals, and local law enforcement has become very familiar with his behavior.
This is such a great idea!!! Cement in the pipe! No cap! Numb nutz won't figure it out for weeks!

As a retired police officer I have dealt w hundreds of property disputes. What I learned is ALWAYS have a property survey on hand. And every survey I’ve had done I had them put a property marker every 25’ along the property line. That way there’s no disputing where the line is and it’s invaluable when it comes to building fences or planting etc.

Yes we had our deed and land survey in hand when next door neighbor said we couldn't put up a fence because it was going to block their view. Yeah their view at being nosey. So we showed them where we are going to put the fence, 2ft from their home. They went ballistic. I than told them by law I can put it half a foot from your home as that's my property line so you have 2 chooses deal with the 2ft or deal with half a foot of space. Than I find out they're not even the owners as owner came and told them we were in our rights. No problems after that.

I can only imagine the hassle of a hostile next door neighbor. You don't need to be best friends, but it's to everyone's advantage to have a civil relationship, even lend a hand when they need some help...so glad I don't have to put up with this kind of BS.
