A special video this week showcasing Duncan’s Band of Brothers Bolt Action Board, which was on display and fully playable at the UK Games Expo, NEC Birmingham, UK.
The Ministry of Miniatures had the pleasure of helping Duncan and the team run the Bolt Action games over the four days of the Expo, both showcasing the amazing boards which were together for the first time EVER!!!! and game running a HUGE audience participation MEGA battle…
but more importantly, raising vital money for The National Kidney Federation.
The project is all in support of good causes, namely the National Kidney Federation (more info at bit.ly/43uO9yd) and Bear's Army, an initiative to provide access to the hobby for children in hospitals
we managed to raise lots of money for the charity by running amazing raffles, (thanks to Warlord Games, Rubicon, Sarissa Precision and many others would kindly donated amazing prizes) and having charity boxes and allowing online donations direct to the charity.

Warlord Games were amazing and donated lots of goodies for the charity and supplied paints and figures (and staff) for the painting stations! There was a constant stream of people trying the game, painting figures and I hope we were able to be great ambassadors for the game and the charity… well done Duncan for making this possible.
And thank you to all the companies that supported Duncan (Duncan’s Band of Brothers) and Logan (Bears Army) to achieve what they did at the weekend.
So, watch the video, enjoy the eye candy and the ultimate experience for Bolt Action… June 1944 and the US Airborne 101st Easy Company, supported by US Army rangers fight for the Allies In Brecourt Manor, the Cross Roads and Caratan.
These boards are now in the Operation Overlord Museum #dday80 in Normandy.

These boards are even better in real life. They are currently at the Overlord Museum in Normandy for the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

Thank you, it was used over a long weekend at the UK Games Expo in Birmingham, but is now in the Op Overlord Museum in Normandy for the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
When it comes back to the UK it is used for charity and building interest in the games system.

You guys going to do a battle report on it? I know a lot of youtubers want to but these boards are always on the move.
We did a massive battle with Modelling for Advantage getting members of the public to draw dice and move the figures.
Once Duncan is well enough we will do some Battle Reports, but the boards are now in the Overlord Museum in Normandy for D-Day!

Ah sorry, we did the game at UKGE on Sunday with Modelling for Advantage, but with so many people and such a big board we did not record it.
We are going to do a battle with Duncan (who’s boards they are) and film that, but we need him to be fit and well for us to be able to fire it in, so we are keeping everything crossed for him as he is in hospital at the moment.
Are they the ones Luke from Geek Gaming Scenics built?

Yes, he built three of them on commission from Duncan’s Band of Brothers, the Brecourt Manor was built with the help of Sarissa Precision ltd.
