@@Davidkvis99 seeing such a benevolent supernatural entity in these kinds of series is really refreshing. east patch deserves a TON of credit for making such a memorable story.
gabby being absolutely adorable is a huge plus too. she reminds me alot of Senko from the anime "The Helpful Fox", both being compassionate spirits who offer comfort and guidance to people when they need it most. of course Senko is more focused on helping the mc through the struggles of adulthood rather then his childhood, however the driving motivation is similar.

angel hare, did much the same to me, it forced me to look at the ugly and finally move on from it. the scene were Jonah finally reunited with gabby was so powerful.... and season 2 has a wonderful message too, you cant help everyone especially when ya dont take care of yourself. Ive been in a few abusive relationships. only a few voilent, but mostly emotional and mental, family can be so hurtful and thoughtless. my dad was never there, and many father figures were not nice to put it lightly. Much the same way when my stepdad was in a toxic slump I had to be there for my sibs to comfort them and pick up the peices Im still...missing a few pieces myself...its hard to open up like you have. but thank you for doing this. and know ya arent alone! I hope your sibs can get out of that and your parents come to terms with how awful they were to y'all. can agree with that term lets mint that coin. we need more anologue and digital mysteries. Ill be subbing and keeping an eye out for your vids, have a great day. a ps before I forget. Zazzagel is definitely my favorite, lol. A tense, Rough but helpful Adult figure. he seems rude but its just a cover cause he's been hurt before. Id love to play some chess with him over a nice bitter up of coffee, or maybe help him on a case sometime ^^ such well crafted characters and story.

Im betting the creators of Angel Hare would love seeing this. Perhaps this was somewhat their intention when making this, for those who share Jonah's point of view/history to have a hare of their own. If it means anything, it also connected with me too, being a child still, it's sort of relatable, or at least I am able to understand it in the case that "relatable" isnt the correct word in this situation.

I have only seen the series as of about 3 days ago. I think it has genuinely changed my brain in some way. For the past 3 years ever since I moved out on my own I’ve been mulling over my childhood, my relationship with my parents, etc. but I don’t think I was actually truly processing it.
I was a troubled kid. I was never hit but I was neglected and essentially raised by my computer. My parents emotionally abused me and my sister regularly and now as adults we’re just treated like good friends - making me feel like I was simply ungrateful or had a warped perception of events regularly now - but those things still happened.
When I was left alone, I was safe, but also not. I found a channeling for the rage this mistreatment induced in me through mid 2000s troll culture, including Encyclopedia Dramatica and 4chan. This eventually led me to the beginnings of the alt-right pipeline and if it wasn’t for intervention from caring friends I could have become a much worse person and done terrible things.
I’m not religious, I was raised to be but it never took. But the character of Gabby pretty much immediately induced a sense of calm, comfort, and also a profound sadness for my younger self once I realized what was going on in the series. I should have had someone like that. If I did, I would have been much better off.
I’m still alive, in spite of it all, and I guess that’s because I kind of had to learn to be my own Gabby. But no kid should have to.
I’m glad others resonate with this series as much I do. I don’t think of it as an analog “horror” myself either. Suffice to say, it is a very emotionally effective series, and the line “Look how Well you’ve Grown” is something I will quite literally never forget.

While I didn't have a rough childhood like yours, Angel Hare did hit me in my jaded adult heart. I've mentioned this before, but to see Christian themes in modern media without a layer of "God is evil" over it, or any sort of real subversion, was refreshing. I'm not a particularly religious person, but I'd be lying if I said Angel Hare hasn't sparked more of an interest. The idea of a guardian angel, someone who has your back no matter what, is comforting. Like you said, I think we could all use our own Angel Gabby.
Also, like you, I'm practically chomping at the bit for my own plush. I saw that video at the end, and immediately realized I was SoL... Soon™

Growing up I felt like I was a spoiled brat but as I got older I gotten used to doing things on my own like making my own food or taking out the trash there's even food that I wouldn't even eat but now I do and I love it,
I wish there was somethings I could change in the past but all you can do is just keep going forward and hope for the best whenever something bad happens to me I tried to block it in the back of my mind and hope it never comes up ever again sometimes it leads to me having memory problems and that's okay!

I'm still thankful for the one friend who pestered me to watch the series despite me being very vocal about being bad with horror. Angel Hare isn't horror (no I don't care that that's what the genre is called this is not horror) so it all worked out. Altough I always feel weird liking Angel Hare so much. My childhood wasn't _that_ turbulent. My mother was maybe a bit neglectful and I admit my father was emotionally unstable but not violent. The thing I was above all else was just lonely. I feel greedy wishing I had a guardian angel like this. Which is kind of a bonkers idea, thinking about it. What, I'm a fake fan because I'm not traumatized enough? Literally nobody will say this what are you on about girl??? Also now that I think about it my "guardian angel" is probably the Puppet from Five Nights At Freddy's. Notably a horror series so I double don't know how that happened. And yeah I'm young enough to have been in my early teens when fnaf 2 came out and I'm an _adult_ now no I'm not happy about this either

I remember reading Godzilla NES for the first time and loving the horror of these demons that operated through analog equipment, in that case an NES, and in that story was Melissa who was Zach's angel. And before that, I'd get infatuated with cartoon characters a lot, and I think it's the attachment to characters we crave when we grow up lonely or without a support system, like
I grew up without a father, except for my stepdad who really didn't even love me or view me as a son more like a chore to him. This series hit me hard too I'm blessed to have my mother so close throughout my my life although she's become super religious since and I'm not really religious yet, I'm trying my hardest to find faith again, but like... She was my angel and now like as an adult I'm lacking that angel, one thing that really hurt was the s2 premiere where gabby is missing. That made my heart absolutely ache, I know I've kind of lost some of my mother's physical support as she's more reliant on faith now and I'm still super dependent on her even though I'm getting way too old for it at this point, and like, if something ever happens to her I'm gonna be alone like more alone than I've ever been. That hurt horribly so.
I might have attachment issues lol

Think, closest thing I had was Shadowman. Been through stuff, seen stuff, had an interest in occult matters. Even learned Voodoo was a Texmex of African religion and Christian religion. Even so, chased it in a hope of understanding and power. So many years later, I see Shadowman on Steam. I saw the desolate planes of Deadside, and....just felt at home. I read so much on spirits, on demons, on tortured souls. It never really talked to me, a random horror obsessed white boy, but it resonated, it shaped.
If it weren't for Shadowman 64, I'd never read so deep. I'd never understand demons and spirits beyond Good/Evil maters. That a wounded soul should see a bit of pity, and a truly nasty soul should see so much worse in it's fate. What is, is. What will be, will be. And seeing a afterlife of of ash and soil isn't the worst thing in this world. There is always so much worse to see in the world.

This was an interesting watch and listen (I.. actually fell asleep to your voice xD). As a series, I was surprised by the content after seeing Night Mind upload something about it.
I've had some support in life, but everything alwyas felt.. loose to me. Questions such as self esteem were always incomplete and floating in the dark. Depression and the thoughts of one day giving up always loomed over my head. Back when I was a teenager turning into an adult, I always had this existential void asking me "Why even? What's the point?". I never thought the dark within one self could touch one's state of mind this hard.
Season one definitively had more impact, but there's a couple of things from the second one that I also appreciated overall. I just love the way everything moves, it has that feeling of an artistic project with a lot of passion behind the scene.
"Look at how much you've grown" is such a simple line. But when you keep going with life, despite how much the odds will try to go against one's motion in life, it really touches the core of one self. There's hope, there's strength. To receive and to give, to live life in a healthy balance.
Thank you for making this, your personal commentary adds a lot to it that has awoken a part of myself to type all of this. I hope you're looking forward to a new year and that you're doing well :).

Man i wish i had a guardian angel aswell or I'd be even okay with having angel gabby as my guardian angel
But i already have a guardian angel. She's from an online game. She is a actual person aswell.. her name is flowey.. so. My dad would yell at my mum and when he does he would might even yell at me. And if flowey was online at that time I'd tell her about it all scared and sad and she would say "don't listen to him..listen to my words." Then she would say comforting things to me. But i am scared that I'll lose her eventually..

I remember crying first watching this.
    (This turns into a vsnt-sorry)
I’ve been through alot of bullying.. (not abuse at home i think…? If mum calling me a spoiled brat and saying me using autism as an excuse counts) and my current state is in recovery, i feel like.. relieved but upset with myself like “this shouldn’t of gone well.. i always get bullied”
Gabby has also become a comfort character for me. I wish my muj was that loving and even said “Just look at how well you’ve grown” without having to call me lazy or a spoiled brat for being overloaded.
She took me for a walk and it was painful.. i had a meltdown in the shower afterward cause i had enough.. i didn’t wanna direct anything to her.. and she said “you done having a tantrum?” Like.. yea..
    Sorry-

i kind of get how you feel, my childhood was kinda shit too, mby not as bad as yours, but having an angel hare would have made growing up without the problems i have today more likely, having someone there to help deal with and understand my own emotions and how to do things your parents are supposed to teach you, i still suck at cooking and cant even operate household appliances correctly without taking several minutes to see a manual or something of the sort.

The authors of Angle Hare clearly intended to beg a "scary" interpretation AND pull the rug out of that exact interpretation in ending on a wholesome note.
The text font and jarring cuts of the tiktok videos, the heavy breathing of Jonah as he livestreams the show and 'succeeding' in contacting Gabby... all of the supernatural elements could be merely the delusions of a dad-murdering guy trying to hide the truth from himself. Jonah begins as an unreliable narrator, saying he forgot Gabby, so any wholesome feelings and fantastic events could be delusions.
But Gabby's interactions with Jonah are clearly wholesome and caring, supporting an abused child. Clearly there are big elements supporting a "this is really happening" vibe, where a magic flood helped erase Jonah's memories and we're magically seeing his tiktok/youtube streamed journey proving Gabby is supernatural and caring.
What's left for me is a void I COULD put myself into, but choose not to.
Enjoy your plushie, when you get it.
I ordered my copy of "The Neverending Sory" and what I got was literally "The N*F*erending Story"
