How to Install a Pure Stage 2 Turbo | F30 BMW 335i xDrive N55 | Stock Turbo Removal

- Hey Everyone,
Welcome back to part 2 of our Pure Stage 2 Turbo Upgrade on our 2013 BMW F30 335i xDrive! In today's video, we will be walking through the process of removing the stock turbo from the car. As you will see we did NOT have to drop the subframe to successfully do this.
When you are draining your coolant, you need to remove the hose on the water pump to get all of it out. If not, you will get wet :)
Also, keep in mind that this video is geared for those who have a basic automotive knowledge. This is a complicated installation, so please be prepared before you begin. Always be safe...

Easily the best BMW DIY channel on YT. Nice work. I imagine all the corrosion you're dealing with on this car is due to your location and the likelihood that your car probably spent its first years of life outside, covered in salt, and rarely got an undercarriage washing.
This is an in depth lesson in painful turbo removal. Nice work.

Awesome stuff! Can you do an episode on changing the rear diff to a higher final drive and an LSD? I'd love to have shorter gears on my F30 335i m sport w/ 8 spd ZF 8HP trans.
I own a n54 motor and i always have to take the subframe out if i need to do work on the turbos. I am very surprised that for the f30 N55, you have the option not to remove the subframe
Hey Kies thanks for such a nice video. Besides changing oil and filter and the turbo oil lines is there anything else someone going for a pure stage 2 turbo should do in terms of maintenance or to make sure the car runs fine with this setup?

What you used to lift the motor, not the support bar doe, my tow hook won’t fit on my motor

Is all the engine support mount stuff due to xdrive? Im sure the dinan instructions i read once were simpler, obv on a RWD car. Anyway id be getting a mechanic to do it!

Hi guy's I have a 2013 328i and it smokes when starts when it's been 2+ day's without turning on. I would love some advice. I all so saw your video about the n20 engines and the lawsuit against BMW. Mine is at 66k but I'm in Florida and my vehicle is doing ok but very stressful to know my engine could go bad any time. I would like some advice on what to do. Love your instructive videos. where does it smoke? Engine room? Then it may be the Valve Cover gasket. Common Problem with BMW. you can DIY with a bit of knowledge.
