Creo Parametric 9.0 - Divide and Unify Surfaces

This Creo Parametric 9.0 tutorial shows the new commands Divide Surface and Unify Surface. Divide Surface is similar to the Surface Region command in Creo Simulate. In addition to using a split surface for applying simulation constraints and loads, they can be used to apply appearances and define reference geometry for annotations like geometric tolerances.

How can I do this circular surface split in creo 4.0?

You could do it in Creo Simulate but it was only for simulation features. People just faked it in Part Mode with a surface offset by a very small distance.
