Nice to know this line is in full operation. As I typing this, I’m looking right at this very train crossing on State St.
Nice catch with that CSX loco.
Wow, all pure WCH install. Not bad. Although i kinda figured it was going to be one after seeing the videos of it under construction from earlier.
Great Catch! Got the new signals active.
Thank You
Yep, they been wired up and working for a while now
thats amazing.csx on nysw
Well, the NYS&W leased a few engines from both CSX and NS, so yea, its more common to see CSX on NYS&W
Nice catch!
You'd think that intersection wouldn't turn red until after the gates were lowered...
Yea, i think they are going to install traffic lights before the crossing, thus when thats done, the'll work out they timing issues.
Near the pascack valley line.
This is near the PVL, yes
I guess the train is taking a detour... lol
No, the CSX engine is leased by the NYS&W, it was being taken up to Sparta
Great video! Did you get any pictures of the crossing?
Thank You David.
I was going too but Hackensack PD were all over the area, along with several members of the Hackensack Fire Department, i think they were going to do a hydrant flushing or something, idk because as i walked away they were hooking a hose up to a hydrant next to this crossing.
I saw GP38 2700 before
Yea, hes been the leader of several SU-99s.
This is the first time 2700 has led an SU99.
I was just here
When were you here, i left around 4:15 pm
Weren't you going to do a video of an old crossing with abandoned traffic signals on it in this area?
I did, its this video right here: ruclips.net/user/edit?o=U&video_id=0QdPsOCpQz0
Might want to double check your link.
How so?
The link doesn't take you to the video, but to the video info editing page, which only you can access (the rest of us can't).
i know that, when you click on it though, where does it take you?
Very horn shy.
So: I'm not knowledgeable about the equipment and all, but are the lights supposed to fade on and off like that? I've seen it elsewhere, so maybe it's a feature, not a bug?
No, its the frame rate of my camera with the LED lights. WC Hayes LEDs do this all the time with my camera
Ahh
Does any passenger trains go thru there too?
No.
No, just the NYS&W, only freight
