Super stoked for this, I remember looking through these on Ygorganisation, thinking they looked interesting, then I saw the trap with a despia and my mind was blown.
My theory is that Albaz and Albert are brothers and that Albert is the one that sent albaz through the hole portal on nadir servant. Maybe Albaz tried to put a stop to his brother from overtaking worlds
Also, the DRAGON SWORD artwork includes Adin, Theo and who seems to be a weakened (because the ritual hex Maximums put to form Albas Knight) Fleur. As if the card tells what happened after Fleur broke free of that cursed armor by striking herself with a purifying lighting. So the Xianjang were the ones who teach her to master it and/or just help her recover her power and health as they were brethren.
Icejades, as you probably already know, has Cosmocroix, who seemed to be the ruler of the Icejade Monsters. Then there is Icejade Erosion, which is erosive to effects of any monster as to they’re itself. Erosion negates an opponent’s monster, then destroys an Icejade Monster. But then there is Icejade curse. If the artwork isn’t an indication of their lore, it shows Agel watching Cosmocroix disintegrating before her eyes. So what it does, Curse attacks an opponent equal a monster’s original Atk. So what I can assume from this is that Cosmocroix sacrifices herself in order to defend her kingdom (the Field Spell: Icejade Depths: Inion Cradle/Effect- Once per turn, when a monster is summoned, target 1 Icejade and lower its attack to 0, then subject the attack to your opponent’s monsters). So basically, Icejades erode themselves in order to erode the enemy monster. Even sacrificing themselves in order to protect their kingdom. And if it’s not a big indication of that, *Icejade Erosion* has artwork of monsters attacking *Icejade Depths: Inion Cradle* .
The way I always saw Aluber was that he is a dark mirror of Albaz, which is why they both have similar looks and abilities. I can kinda see the girl in Genesis being Aluber, but I'm going to be sticking with the dark mirror theory until something that disproves it comes up. Also, I don't think Branded in Red is a flashback, but instead what happened after Branded Opening, as we can see Dogmatika on fire on the artwork of Ad Libitum as well.
21:10 I think it could be possible this is still a flashback. The Hole has been stealing stuff for a long time, and the Dogmatika church has been around for a long time as well. If Albert is still a flashback, it could be the time when the church was founded by Despia. Perhaps back then the church struck a deal, or maybe Albion broke free from the armor and forced the Despia to retreat, leaving a contingency force to build power in Nadir, the random Hole openings being a reinforcement ritual or a result of a weakened world barrier. When Albion fell back into Nadir, Maximus knew they'd run out of time and initiated Despia's encore. Despite not being meta relevant, Albion has done quite a good job uniting forces against Nadir as well as harnessing the power he had up until now used in a self defensive and feral way. Albert could easily be either possessed armor binding Albion, or Albion's true original form before he changed his mind and broke free, the removal of his Despia brand causing mental damage that prevented him from being truly effective. This is just under the assumption it could be a flashback tho. If it isn't, then Albert could just be a mirror or evil twin lol.
i think that white knight of dogmatika being fleurdelis somehow ended up inside the icejade cradle healing the brand on her and then becoming the iris swordsoul, at least that is the connection i see
I love your lore videos besides blackwings being my favorite deck swordsoul is right there with them I love the wryum type like I wish yang zing get more support some day love too lol keep up the great work 👍
Well, the new tokens coming out in the Strike of Albaz deck for the OCG/TCG have Aluber without his mask, disproving the theory of the new knighted little kid is Aluber.
At this point I'm just waiting for the Pendulum archetype of this lore, and hope that it becomes somewhat viable, much like the Qlis and Amorphages of the former lores. Also, Fusion seems to always end up being the "bad guy" summoning mechanic, apart from the Anime, as seen with the Shaddolls, Despia, and the Infernoids.
I think I'm starting to like the theory of Albert being the girl from Dogmatika Genesis more and more, mostly because it would make me very happy if Albert turned out to be a girl lmaoo Idk maybe after seeing what Albaz could do the Dogmatika people decided to try and re-create his gems/powers and used the new girl to test it all
It looks like the last card and cardle card are Fleurdelis being turned into an ice jade or be treated by them and we see also a blue ribbon same as Eccle which makes sense
Icejade cradle looks like fleurdelis is getting healed after almost transforming into whatever dogmatikka Maximus was trying to turn her. So it would go swordsoul emergence ( the three dogmatika escapee finding those three with a damaged fleurdelis and then her healing in icejade cradle
Icejade cradle YGO trivia says that's Fleur (Dogma) and Tremolat become Iris in the artwork. Im guessing Tremolat helps Iris from her Dogma/Fleur state which turned her into Iris
My takeaway is that the 2 characters seen in branded in white , branded in red are 2 of the world's chosen but taken different paths. One seeks to spread dispair as a result of the stigma curse. Originally the orbs he had will be similar to albaz , but darkness had tainted it turning it red , and causing it's owner to seek out albaz. To absorb his power.
Personally I think Albaz can revert to human form whenever he want, Albion just the dragon form he could use with no string attached. I mean, all of his other dragon forms are made by fusing himself with other monster, gameplay-wise, while the black Albion form is an effect monster that include sending an Albaz card to GY to special summon himself, so... yeah, my assumption is that Albaz initially need external factor to transform, and that's why his dragon forms are varied, until black Albion that he could transform himself into one, thus Albaz relied on it to protect Ecclesia on their journey, something like that.
Duel Terminal needs an anime, why hasn't Konami jumped on it yet? Also, what if Albaz has a Wyrm form? Like, I dunno, something similar to the True Kings? Edit: I have returned to eat my words
One interesting thing you can splash IceJades to are Sharks. There's the obvious Rank 4 synergy that most Sharks have anyway, but the Level 5s facilitate access to their boss, Valiant Shark Lancer. Also, please, don't shatter my hopes for some Metaphys Xiangjian mashups!
I think the Xiangjian are giving Ecclesia and Albion a power-up in Research. Like they taught her how to be Tuner. And maybe we'll get a Synchro form of Albion in the future to represent his power-up. Also: my pet theory is that whoever's truly behind the Despians is gonna be a fusion of Albaz and Aluber.
For the record, I think that Aluber is supposed to be pronounced "Alu-bare". since the proxy in EDOPro had the name written as "Albért", I always pronounced it the French way. I don't know if this is actually the correct way to do it, but it's certainly less goofy than the direct pronunciation in English. XP
I also noticed Duke has the same purple hair as Fleur de Lys/Iris... Same blood line? Also, it's probably her in the Jade spell card, getting healed from the Dogmatika ritual.
So is xiang in league with Despia or are they enemies, or one of the xiang members will betray the other xiang or they were once old friends but now enemies.
24:15, the sprites can also be seen on the card of the black dragn that was killed by lightning (gorganda was the name i believe)?..you might want to check on the timeline here ✍🏽👁👃🏽👁
i think the person in icejade cradel is flur/iris that is clensed from the influence of the stikmata. as you can see in the xiangjian dragonsword appears flur is caryed and has ha red stigma on hear arme same stigma as the person in icejade cradel.
Maybe Albas is "the original" and (like certain green anime character) he get rid of his evil thoughts which took a form of its own (Albert). That could fit the theme of Albert being a fairy since it was technically a evil-part of the dragon lad.
The Icejades made my Gustkraken Handloop deck more consistent, since I'm insisting on using the Gishki engine plus water support. I both love and hate them for this. It feels like Konami forgot Gustkraken exists and is now providing more and more support to make it a threat.
Also I love seeing Ecclesia use that skull she was carrying in Sprigguns Booty as her new WEAPON. The girl is stupid strong compared to her size, and seeing Albion behind her like a guard dog makes me very happy. Either he's stuck like that and he's loyal to her at this point (Which can work if he was just surviving in Albaz and was feral) or they're a proper duo/couple and he is ready to jump in to help her _if_ she needs help. Considering he seems a bit relaxed in the art, I don't think Ecclesia needed the mark to get work done.
With Xiangjian now only Pendulum and a real Ritual Deck are missing if they don't just make different archetypes for each Extra Deck Summoning method. Maybe we could get a new archetype that uses all Summoning Methods consisting of members of every faction for the final battle which also would be neat. But if they did make Pendulums and/or Rituals I would be very interested to see what special gimmiks they would get. And what is that for music that you use in the lore segments? It fits the mood so perfectly you could mean it was intended for exactly that.
Ok soo, bear with me this will be a long comment, but I THINK there's some chronology things that need to be fixed: First of all, I don't think Tri-Brigades came from The Hole™, if we remember correctly, the three things that came from The Hole™ were: "A form of Dark Matter", "A Relic from a Lost Civilization" and then Albaz Given it seems Tri-Brigade uses the blue crystals as a energy source instead of munition (As Bearbrumm is show powered by em') it would make sense that those crystals are that energy that came from The Hole™, additionaly, we seen Albaz holding one of those crystals in Springans Booty, which could mean that GiantSnakeBOi either ate one and got corrupted by it, or being affected by The Hole™ created one inside of it, and that's why Kit is seen so enthusiastic to see it The Relic them, could very well be The Nexus™, which would create a nice interaction here with the two factions, both Tri-Brigade and Dogmatikas uses things that came from The Hole™ If that's the case, maybe it's not that Maximus is a puppet, but The Nexus™ is actually a trap, or at least has some interactions with Despians, and was waiting to reveal it's true form, corrupting the entire nation On that note, the timeline fits better like this: Albaz drops from the The Hole™ in Titanclad form, wharever the reason for that Fleur strikes him down Ecclesia decides not to kill him Tri-Brigades atack Dogmatika nation, we don't know it that's a pre-planned atack or if they saw the opportunity to strike Conflict breaks inside the nation Ecclesia is punished for sparring Albaz Albaz turns into Bigrand absorbing part of The Hole™ energy emanating and Ecclesia's stigmata Maximus goes nuts with the oncoming defeat and decides to use The Nexus™ powers to enhance Fleur (and maybe the other members of the Holy Knights as well) Fleur turns into White Knight against her will, probably being forced to battle as the armor moves on it's own, eventually being able to escape it tho' The overwhelming Hole Energy™ reaches a critical point and boom, Despians finally descend upon the world, corrupting everyone in close proximity, including Maximus and Ashiyan With the weird Despian corruption spreading, -Albert- Aluber showing up, being a mirror image of Albaz(which could be because the two came from the same place or because part of Albaz essence or wharever stayed in The Nexus™ after de-fusing) scares him shitless, as well as having a dragon form of it's own, makes everyone retreat Dogmatika Nation is turned into teather throught The Nexus™ true form spreading Despian corruption, Fleur, Theo and Adin barely escaped Tri-Brigade gives Albaz the birb to help them find Kit and the Springans to guide them throught the desert The Springans probably ain't the most friendly of factions and atack Albaz and Ecclesia, who resort to powering up some old busted ship using The Birb(Remember, Albaz ain't fused with the ship, and instead it's piloting it), as it probably is powered by those Blue Darkmatter stones After seeing The Hole™ appear, Albaz and Ecclesia end up being captured, but later are set free because The Birb given by Shuraig is actually Kit's birb, and she's friend with the Springans The Hole fully opens and spawms (Or corrupts) the GiantSnakeBOi Albaz is able to turn into Albion the first time to try anf defeat the thing Fleur appears an saves the day Albaz reverts back into human form after being greeted by Ecclesia(Who first seemed kinda exhitant about him in Springans Watch but now is opening her arms to his dragon form, showing their bond being strenghtned by Albaz courage in fighting GiantSnakeBOi) Everyone throws a party for the battle won, I have no clue where the loot came from, we could argue that BigSnakeBOi eats metal/gold, and that lot came from inside it, which also would explain why it'd be such a threat to Sprigans, who inhabit steel bodies, but that'd be just a guess, what we do know is that Ecclesia uses the skull of the thing to make a new hammer, and that there's a springans living inside it, probably making it a rocket hammer, which is badass af Ecclesia is reunited with Fleur and the others They go see the swordsouls for...some reason, idk They're running from the Despians, probably becuse they want Albaz, or, Aluber wants Albaz, idk Sidenote: The Icejades had something to do with Fleur's recovery, the one inside the bubble in Icejade Cradel is her, which is weird because they seem to live where the swordsoul lives, did Theo and Adin knew about it and brought her there? Did the Icejades searched for Fleur, brought her there, and then yeeted her to find Albaz and Ecclesia? Idk
- I would play a card in Xiangjian called "Parallel Selection" to get back banished spells. - Did u not notice that they are based on Ancient Chinese Swords? - The deck theoretically play LV:7,9,&11 synchros. - Maybe Chun Jun is giving Ecclesia a new power to join in the archetype in Research - If only we got a new albaz Wyrm fusion to go with us archetype like the past ones, and to work with new Ecclesia - I think Ad Libitum is just giving a cocky evil villan greating, I always thought that hammer was Albaz cuz in new Ecclesia, albaz looks kind of Lifeless, and in Research, I think Chun Jun is transferring albaz soul in the hammer, also the skull of Serpent Golgonda? That is completely Insanely wrong
I feel that dogmatika genesis is a loose end never really gone back on, and since the stucture deck alba strike kinda disproves the theory of that card being Aluber
Yeah this lore is awesome, my theory, Albert and fallen are connected in some way maybe brothers, but they possess different stigmata’s (white and red). I don’t think despia is the clothing because then I think fallen would have other issues and the red haired girl we see with the dogmatikas is gonna be alberts’ eclisea 😶🌫️🤯

As if the card tells what happened after Fleur broke free of that cursed armor by striking herself with a purifying lighting. So the Xianjang were the ones who teach her to master it and/or just help her recover her power and health as they were brethren.
With that pose it looks more like Ad Libitum has just appeared and is introducing himself
Perhaps to form an alliance of sorts
Albaz new fusion will probably be him becoming a true dragon by merging with the new archetype
i love how deep this goes!!
I love the duelist roses background music
21:10
I think it could be possible this is still a flashback.
YO NOVA! If you haven’t already, you REALLLY gotta watch Land of the Lustrous. 10/10
i think that white knight of dogmatika being fleurdelis somehow ended up inside the icejade cradle healing the brand on her and then becoming the iris swordsoul, at least that is the connection i see
After she and the other two have met the Xiangjian at the peak.
I didn't think about it before but the Icejade's black body parts with glowing lines look like the Twili from TLoZ: Twilight Princess.
Oh my God is that duelist if the roses music in the background
Leo is holding someone in that picture meeting on the mountain with soulsword synchro
At this point I'm just waiting for the Pendulum archetype of this lore, and hope that it becomes somewhat viable, much like the Qlis and Amorphages of the former lores.
Also, Fusion seems to always end up being the "bad guy" summoning mechanic, apart from the Anime, as seen with the Shaddolls, Despia, and the Infernoids.
apart from the anime?
did you see arc v?
Cradles are usually used for babies so maybe icejade cradle is a card depicting a new icejade monster.
Ok, I am totally convinced Albert, and by extension Nightgleam Dragon, is that mysterious girl.
the swordsouls's face reminds of me Omegamon from Digimon, now i want one at Master duel
I think I'm starting to like the theory of Albert being the girl from Dogmatika Genesis more and more, mostly because it would make me very happy if Albert turned out to be a girl lmaoo
Idk maybe after seeing what Albaz could do the Dogmatika people decided to try and re-create his gems/powers and used the new girl to test it all
It looks like the last card and cardle card are Fleurdelis being turned into an ice jade or be treated by them and we see also a blue ribbon same as Eccle which makes sense
I hope the Xiangjian get a field spell soon. Maybe one that banishes to create tokens while giving Wyrms a boost.
I can mix ice jades in with my Frozen Song (deep sea/ice barrier deck) it discards from hand and banishes it’s own waters as well natively
XP
I will definitely follow that example, because I can't take it seriously otherwise xD
I also noticed Duke has the same purple hair as Fleur de Lys/Iris...
Same blood line?
Also, it's probably her in the Jade spell card, getting healed from the Dogmatika ritual.
I though that icejace crafle was the Icejadr healing Fluer…..
So is xiang in league with Despia or are they enemies, or one of the xiang members will betray the other xiang or they were once old friends but now enemies.
Well i'm blind i did'nt notice the icejade story bubbles, thanks for it
24:15, the sprites can also be seen on the card of the black dragn that was killed by lightning (gorganda was the name i believe)?..you might want to check on the timeline here
✍🏽👁👃🏽👁
I just realized the icejade could pair with the ice barrier deck which all are water attribute as well
i think the person in icejade cradel is flur/iris that is clensed from the influence of the stikmata. as you can see in the xiangjian dragonsword appears flur is caryed and has ha red stigma on hear arme same stigma as the person in icejade cradel.
20:51 what is the song playing? 24:49 NOW I wish we could have a poster version of this artwork
That gonna be awsome…. Too Watch tomorrow…. I sleep early so I can’t only watch this tomorrow
Sounds good! Get some rest, and I hope it's a fun watch next chance ya get!
know what would be interesting? The Fallen of Albaz being the clothes like the Despia and not the child itself
Ok soo, bear with me this will be a long comment, but I THINK there's some chronology things that need to be fixed:
First of all, I don't think Tri-Brigades came from The Hole™, if we remember correctly, the three things that came from The Hole™ were: "A form of Dark Matter", "A Relic from a Lost Civilization" and then Albaz
Given it seems Tri-Brigade uses the blue crystals as a energy source instead of munition (As Bearbrumm is show powered by em') it would make sense that those crystals are that energy that came from The Hole™, additionaly, we seen Albaz holding one of those crystals in Springans Booty, which could mean that GiantSnakeBOi either ate one and got corrupted by it, or being affected by The Hole™ created one inside of it, and that's why Kit is seen so enthusiastic to see it
The Relic them, could very well be The Nexus™, which would create a nice interaction here with the two factions, both Tri-Brigade and Dogmatikas uses things that came from The Hole™
If that's the case, maybe it's not that Maximus is a puppet, but The Nexus™ is actually a trap, or at least has some interactions with Despians, and was waiting to reveal it's true form, corrupting the entire nation
On that note, the timeline fits better like this:
Albaz drops from the The Hole™ in Titanclad form, wharever the reason for that
Fleur strikes him down
Ecclesia decides not to kill him
Tri-Brigades atack Dogmatika nation, we don't know it that's a pre-planned atack or if they saw the opportunity to strike
Conflict breaks inside the nation
Ecclesia is punished for sparring Albaz
Albaz turns into Bigrand absorbing part of The Hole™ energy emanating and Ecclesia's stigmata
Maximus goes nuts with the oncoming defeat and decides to use The Nexus™ powers to enhance Fleur (and maybe the other members of the Holy Knights as well)
Fleur turns into White Knight against her will, probably being forced to battle as the armor moves on it's own, eventually being able to escape it tho'
The overwhelming Hole Energy™ reaches a critical point and boom, Despians finally descend upon the world, corrupting everyone in close proximity, including Maximus and Ashiyan
With the weird Despian corruption spreading, -Albert- Aluber showing up, being a mirror image of Albaz(which could be because the two came from the same place or because part of Albaz essence or wharever stayed in The Nexus™ after de-fusing) scares him shitless, as well as having a dragon form of it's own, makes everyone retreat
Dogmatika Nation is turned into teather throught The Nexus™ true form spreading Despian corruption, Fleur, Theo and Adin barely escaped
Tri-Brigade gives Albaz the birb to help them find Kit and the Springans to guide them throught the desert
The Springans probably ain't the most friendly of factions and atack Albaz and Ecclesia, who resort to powering up some old busted ship using The Birb(Remember, Albaz ain't fused with the ship, and instead it's piloting it), as it probably is powered by those Blue Darkmatter stones
After seeing The Hole™ appear, Albaz and Ecclesia end up being captured, but later are set free because The Birb given by Shuraig is actually Kit's birb, and she's friend with the Springans
The Hole fully opens and spawms (Or corrupts) the GiantSnakeBOi
Albaz is able to turn into Albion the first time to try anf defeat the thing
Fleur appears an saves the day
Albaz reverts back into human form after being greeted by Ecclesia(Who first seemed kinda exhitant about him in Springans Watch but now is opening her arms to his dragon form, showing their bond being strenghtned by Albaz courage in fighting GiantSnakeBOi)
Everyone throws a party for the battle won, I have no clue where the loot came from, we could argue that BigSnakeBOi eats metal/gold, and that lot came from inside it, which also would explain why it'd be such a threat to Sprigans, who inhabit steel bodies, but that'd be just a guess, what we do know is that Ecclesia uses the skull of the thing to make a new hammer, and that there's a springans living inside it, probably making it a rocket hammer, which is badass af
Ecclesia is reunited with Fleur and the others
They go see the swordsouls for...some reason, idk
They're running from the Despians, probably becuse they want Albaz, or, Aluber wants Albaz, idk
Sidenote: The Icejades had something to do with Fleur's recovery, the one inside the bubble in Icejade Cradel is her, which is weird because they seem to live where the swordsoul lives, did Theo and Adin knew about it and brought her there? Did the Icejades searched for Fleur, brought her there, and then yeeted her to find Albaz and Ecclesia? Idk
- I would play a card in Xiangjian called "Parallel Selection" to get back banished spells.
- Did u not notice that they are based on Ancient Chinese Swords?
- The deck theoretically play LV:7,9,&11 synchros.
- Maybe Chun Jun is giving Ecclesia a new power to join in the archetype in Research
- If only we got a new albaz Wyrm fusion to go with us archetype like the past ones, and to work with new Ecclesia
- I think Ad Libitum is just giving a cocky evil villan greating, I always thought that hammer was Albaz cuz in new Ecclesia, albaz looks kind of Lifeless, and in Research, I think Chun Jun is transferring albaz soul in the hammer, also the skull of Serpent Golgonda? That is completely Insanely wrong
I feel that dogmatika genesis is a loose end never really gone back on, and since the stucture deck alba strike kinda disproves the theory of that card being Aluber
Yeah this lore is awesome, my theory, Albert and fallen are connected in some way maybe brothers, but they possess different stigmata’s (white and red). I don’t think despia is the clothing because then I think fallen would have other issues and the red haired girl we see with the dogmatikas is gonna be alberts’ eclisea 😶🌫️🤯
I heard that the person inside icejade cradel is fluer de lis and is undergoing the transformation into iris
Commenting for the algorithm. I love these.
Thank you much!
Man, I just came back to yu gi oh few months ago, and then I discover this incredible lore around different archetypes : this is awesome, I love this story. Now I want to have all the cards related to this story to make the story timeline in image 😆 And your videos are very good and well explained !
Btw where do you get the concept arts ? They look very good too, I would like to see more of that
Check out Vendread
The concept arts can be found in the wiki entries of the characters in yugipedia.
Knowing Ecclesia got matching goggles and a hand-me-down jacket from Tri-Brigade Ferrijit and that Kitt is her little sister is heartwarming.
12:14 generic fives, my favorite.
The Ecclesia/Albaz Anime would be cool.
What If the Xiangjian Swordmasters ARE the Icejades because Like Said they both have These Markings and that glowy Thing
Okay, it's official Albert is literally fusion of both Wesker from RE and Dimentio from super paper Mario. Now all we need is for the ultimate show song playing for the finale and it will be complete.
Not sure if this was pointed out or not, but IceJade Cradel looks like its fleur being cleansed of the stigma, at least thats my theory
I saw XiangJian and lore in the video title and instantly clicked on it
Ok, someone in Konami watched Kill la Kill and really enjoyed it lmao
The Ice Barrier archetype perhaps?
