Great video. I am always keen to hear your touring advice. Lots of good ideas and I think your approach is very similar to mine. I am taking notes for when I retire early next year and my wife and I aim to tour Britain and Europe (We live in NZ)

Thanks for watching. A tour so far from home sounds great!

Interested to hear your Sardinia trip plans, didn’t realise it was so easy to get there. One for my backlog I think. Get your logic with top box but for us (on an R1250RT) it works well. We have a rule to keep our ‘day bags’ in there nothing else so remove them when we stop enabling us to lock away jackets, boots, jeans on a stop. Helmets are on a cable lock. Nothing worse than walking around a town in biker gear. Doing Santander to Caen in August/September via Madrid and the Catalunya MotoGP, planning final details so may just use your Millau viaduct idea, thanks. Keep up the good work. Presumably you’ll be doing some trips out on the bike in Sardinia? Great roads I hear.

Thanks for watching. I agree about walking around in biker gear. We tend to get a hotel with parking in the centre of any city we are visiting (I know they are a premium) and then we can dump our gear in the room.

Always interesting to hear about your trips, thanks. We’re starting small and just about to do our first weekend tour through wales. Thailand on a bike sounds great. I got the chance to be a pillion on a scooter in Vietnam and it was amazing, like a great sea of bikes weaving down the road.

Thanks for watching. I'm expecting Thailand to be challenging! However, I toured India some years ago, which was amazing. I'll be making a video about that tour sometime soon.
