I think playing mill is quite fun, since your kind of playing your own little mini game 😅. And, to be fair, if your plan doesn't work out, you're pretty much fucked, since it's quite unlikely that you will win by damage. So it might be evil, but it's still kind of fair in my opinion. Not any "more" evil than control decks with any other win condition actually, even if losing to an empty library might be quite frustrating 😂.

At 28:05 could have styled on the opponent by bouncing the Jukai Naturalist with Ottawara to make them draw their last card from Audacity going to the graveyard, with lethal at the next draw step
Hit mythic again with a slightly modified version of this deck. There are times when mono red will just alpha you, but it is really strong against the various aggro decks overall.
"exact" might be the wrong choice if it was mono-blue, lol. That aside, what did you play in blue, counters to replace the other cards or something different?

This deck is the reason I now start a 15 minutes timer when starting any match, once the time is up is an instant concession from me. Playing 40+ minutes per match twice against it was enough for the rest of my life. On the other hand, I was able to defeat it using a Syr Ginger and an Agatha's Cauldron. The mill actually helped me finding Gingerbrute, Tough Cookie and Greta.
Haven’t gotten to watch the whole deck tech so not sure if you mentioned this, but any consideration for Vantress Visions (the adventure side of Virtue of Knowledge) in this deck? Using it can double the amount of cards milled by Jace so that he also can mill half a deck.
@@WhatisAPaladin nothing here suggests I don't , I do. And decks like these usually have 4,5 different cards added for my starting one. It's just that I went back & forth too long on that tier and this deck helped me to move. Also, the higher tiers dont allow many cards beside the S & A tier cards,we all know that, you know it, so "own deck" in high ladder tiers pretty much is an illusion.

It’s the gamble version of the deck. If they’re playing a creature deck and you play that, it’s an instant win. Any other matchup you get screwed. It’s interesting in arena because at least %60 of decks are creature based
I would like to say thank you for posting this deck. I am a dirty casual when it comes to Magic, and I am a bit too addicted to jank to get past Diamond. I have literally played this game since Guilds of Ravnica and had NEVER hit mythic. That changed today as I finally hit mythic for the first time ever using this mill deck. I did swap out two smite for two get lost, and am thinking of dumping the last smite for a march of otherworldy light, as sometimes artifacts feel bad. Do you have any suggestions for a sideboard?
I played against this scheme last night. I dropped a spark rupture. Their jace came in as a 5/5 creature. Opponent seemed a bit confused. Then scooped. I had a good laugh.
Why were you discarding mindbreaker when you had 7 mana available? Wouldnt getting two uses out of it be worth it when you still have a healthy life total?
Especially against decks that might have removal that can exile our creatures it's best not to expose the Mindbreaker to make sure we can at least mill with it once.

I see little fun in grinding/buying cards that you cant play because a youtuber says a deck is mean, so they need to copy it and play it online, which in this case destroys decks fast. Good luck with your videos though! I do like seeing the deck tech to get some ideas of what's out there and just general playing strategies I mtg.
I almost exclusively play mill decks in Historic. I like the idea of Fraying Sanity, but it has a couple of things going against it in such a fast format. It's slow at 3 mana, not doing anything when it hits the board. And it has no synergy with Tasha's Hideous Laughter, so there are scenarios where you spend that 3 mana for nothing and you're dead on turn 4 anyway. I've built a couple of decks around it, taking out Tasha's and running a full playset of Fraying Sanity. It makes weaker mill cards stronger, but still isn't as fast as just running the strongest mill cards that all have an effect the turn they're played.
@@Jason-fv4rg I completely agree, Ive been playing it in explorer and been getting pretty consistent turn four kills but historic is just way too fast. Plus, to get the turn four you need to have turn two discard mindbreaker, turn three play fraying sanity, turn four bring it back and hope they have no instant speed removal which is risky. even so ive been doin decently well with it these past several weeks.

Its a clock with no counterplay other than counterspelling, and even that doesn't help against mind breaker. I'd rather have poison counters be evergreen. It also effectively removes strong cards from your deck and sometimes mana screws you. There should be some more shuffle graveyard into library cards if this trash is floating around.

Mindbreaker milling half your library on turn 4 is kinda busted. Some even play soul partition to recast Jace and be extra toxic :)
In Game 5, Dennick should protect you from graveyard hate so you could have safely discarded the Mindbreaker.

I saw a deck where the player play the same strategy jace/mill but the rest of the deck were fill with board wipe, that game gave me depression😢
