Please,for certificate of good standing as require for pathway 1 ,should be from my country or from other country I work now ,as example, l graduated and I have license from Egypt but I have worked in Saudi Arabia since 2010 and have license for Saudi Arabia also

15:33 if you read this page it says your first exam becomes invalid not all the usmle exams if you cross that 7 year deadline. I contacted ecfmg for my similar scenario, they told me that my first exam will be invalid and my 2nd exam will become my new first exam date
This is something that i don't get it, so if i have my license in 2017 and it's still active i cannot apply for pathway 1? please can you help me. thank you!

However, I am not planning for a residency now but only want to have the chance to apply for fellowships in US later on and don't want my step 1 to be wasted. So I was thinking of getting ecfmg certification through pathway 1 but I am worried that the ECMFG cert will last for 2 years only. Kindly provide insight for this special situation. Even if I require to renew the ECFMG years later from the first certification, what do they ask for?or do we have to appear for the exams again for renewal of cert?

You are able to start the pathway application even if you have not completed both STEP exams

You have to in order to obtain license in most states.
