- In this video, I photography the interior and exterior of the Gilder Center, the newest wing of the Natural History Museum in NYC with my Nikon D850. I also include a Photoshop tutorial showing you how I process an image.
Great building and fabulous photographs. That's me subscribed.
Thanks so much Geoff!

@@JCImagesBehindtheShot You're welcome! I am looking forward to your next video.
Bookmarked for future reference. You're a good tutor, Jay!
Thanks for the kind words, David!
looked an interesting subject Jay and your final image turned out great too. Quite ironic just at the point you discussed removing people from the staircase there was a pause for an advert from AI regarding the AI Generative tool 🙂
Thanks Jim! The next time you come to New York, you can check it out.
great video
Thank you friend!!
Just watched thanks to a RUclips suggestion. First time I've viewed your channel and enjoyed the content. Will check out a few more and likely subscribe.
Thanks so much Colin!
A magnificent building with great artistic interpretation. The tutorial was very good also 👍
Thanks so much Stephen!!
Stunning images Jay, a lot of changes since my last visit there on a school trip in 1967. That new section is a modern photographers dream. 😎
That's a long time! You need to revisit! Thanks Rich!
Juxtapose with some photos of Antelope Slot Canyons near Page, AZ, especially with the interior captures.
I have not been there yet. Hope to make it there soon.
I love these videos and your style. I know many would consider it boring but could you make a video highlighting the selections process.?
Not boring at all! Love to see that too
Thanks Bill! It actually is requested often. I will work on one for 2024!
Jay..... just found your channel a few days ago and it's been invaluable to me - have been through all your B&W architectural vids and learned a lot - subscribed as well of course. Thanks for taking the time to make these..... 👍
Very kind of you to comment! Thank you friend!
Excellent. I have learned so much from you. I hope to go there next week and see what I can create. I so appreciate your sharing your processing techniques. I use the pen tool for my selections, but they make a huge difference in the final. It just takes patience. Thank you for sharing your lens choices as well. It will help me have the best lenses for the location. Your tutorials have made a huge difference in my architectural photography.
Thanks for the kind words Robin! Do you post on IG? I would like to see your work.
Yabba dabba doo!
Right? So cool.
True! But my mind went straight to “Take your stinking paws off me, you damned dirty ape!”
Great video Jay. I’m waiting to run into you on a shoot. I visited the Museum in October to check out the addition and I too was overwhelmed with children. I am not fan of the architecture, but enjoyed the visit and went on to explore the Upper westside, shot the First Baptist Church, the 72nd. St station, the Ansonia and other points of interest. Haven’t been there since the 1990’s.. Well Thanks again and take care.
