This is the best performance ever.
I see a lot of critiques about the speed in which this wonderfully talented lady is playing this piece. It does not matter the speed. It is ALWAYS the artist interpretation as to how THEY want to express themselves. Like it or not, this is a beautiful interpretation of this piece and I enjoyed it immensely. Thanks for sharing Ms. Gvetadze.
I agree. Very well said.
It's rushed. Period.
Very true that the artist can interpret the piece however they choose, but that doesnt mean everyone has to like it.

Yep .... there was something about to burn in the oven here.
lol
Debussy plays the keys as if they were words and he is telling a story, and this, one of my favorite pianists, told the story as i truly believe Debussy wanted to be told. This is her voice in her hands.
This piece of music makes me feel flying to the sky !
Like a beautiful musical waterfall!
What a beautifully sensitive performance.
Actually, this THEE best interpretation. And the pedaling is PERFECT.
In my mind I'm standing in a very nice home in the Santa Barbara Riviera, looking out of a large bay window streaked with rain, a thunderstorm furiously pouring rain out of dark angry skies. A fire place flickering licks of flames. A hot mug of hot chocolate in my hands, and this playing on a Bang and Olufson CD player and speakers. Oh I'm in heaven.
She is the best !
Magnifique interprétation d 'Arabesque No.1. bravo !
I'm agree with Dawg Man, this version is for me the best. I listened many version, but they was too slow... Is good for sleep. This on is just perfect, it is a version of our time, in one word MODERN 👍
I LOVE THIS
The comfort of her stellar playing is off the charts
She is a wonderful Alchemist of Debussy‘s music
So beautifully played and felt deeply....
Beautiful. - Classic piano is amazing.
A privilege to listen to, thank you
What a beautiful sound you have !! The hallmark of a master.
So dreamy and beautiful..Love these close up personal performances, can see and hear everything clearly and enjoy.
Beautifully played! Heaven-like experience! Thank you!!!!
Yes! Yes, indeed! Thank you Miss. Gvetadze for this recording.
That was literally perfection.
Flawless!
Best ever.
best audio quality so far,
Marvellous! Perfection! Debussy has always been my favorite!I
So beautiful 😢❤️
Very nice version!!
Congratulations!
one of my favorite piano songs to play and to listen to. well done.
I dont get why everybody plays it this fast, try playing it a bit slower and be amazed by how good it sounds...
Stephan Remie 100%. In most cases, it is rushed but if they take the tempo back just slightly, you will be amazed.
Yeah but it would be like so slight, this song needs to be played fast cause love doesn't wait, have you ever heard this song played slow? It loses all the warm and subtleties only to become a sad song… My feeling though
literally watching every video in order to find a slower version, yes, sad is better to me
it would be nice to know how Debussy played this piece ...
Inga Fioloia plays it slower and it is fantastic
Bravo! Simply beautiful 🎹!!
Inspirational performance.
Thank you for sharing this.
Beautiful!!! 🎉🎉🎉
lovely!
oh beautiful! Miguel from Buenos Aires, Argentina! Thank you & congrats!
I love it... Thanks for sharing:)
omg I cry everytim
Listening to her tip - top performance ,
I can feel the aesthetics of debussy
From Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun 🇯🇵
Simply... wonderful.
Very nice. Thank you.
sublime délicatesse!
Wow! You are amazing, I love your work! 😍 Braviisimo! Magic! Congratulations
Best Debussy's Arabesque to hear on the net... Thanks for it!
Nice
😊
Not at all, its too rushed.
Fantastic and the piano is a great help !
Love it
very nicely done took me forever to master this peace
Amazing! - Brava!
Belíssima intrpretação , acho a melhor dessa obra
Pianista Fantástica, maravilhosa!!!
beautiful!
Assolutamente MERAVIGLIOSA!
i love the passion she show's while playing this. As a fellow player I understand the sentiment. Playing beautiful pieces is a moving experience...and she shows it's affecting her...and not in a "fake" way. If there's any criticism...she does play it a little too fast for my taste. But again, her emotion in playing puts that criticism aside since she's obviously...truly...giving a heartfelt interpretation.
Qué delicadeza!
la beauté....
Thanks - love every single tone and you have a very beautiful sound and touch!
luffe2006 thank debussy not her.
@@FirstnameLastname-uc5sb So if someone plays it terribly, should we blame that on Debussy?
Wonderfully played
By far the best. Tempo is soooo good, i don't like this piece played too slow, it becomes kinda sad... and boring at the middle. But this, this interpretation is the ONE for all i can feel earing this is love with all its subtleties.
Stanislav Bunin interpretation is good also..
It's the correct tempo if you are a bird or insect. If you are a human its too fast!
One of the best interpretations on RUclips. Love your dynamics. You stress the right notes perfectly,.
Hermoso!! Me recuerda a un amigo poeta!!
good touch
good rhytm
Finally!!!!! I've found someone who interpret this Arabesque how it has to do, and so close to my interpretation! Thank you so much! BRAVA! You are great!
When as a classical guitarist I began to learn piano, to me it sounded like it was not perfectly in tune. This is a fact about the piano, that is why it takes mastery, and a lot of good taste as here, to make a piano sound great. Plus as a composed Debussy played with color and textures, chords which are not solved, and exquisite motifs.
Fast or slow it's the same piano work with the same notes---nothing but a beautiful melody full emotions.
🥰😍❤❤❤
Right!!!
Deep emotion is reaching my soul , and it is the time of supreme bliss .
From Tokyo Japan where love Debussy .
Which national are you watching this video ?
Much love from Israel, this song is a masterpiece imo it's truly beautiful.

At last I found your letter here .
Sorry the very late reply !
I am sorry !
Thank-you very much to your reply !
How is your condition and your country ?
Tokyo is autumn .
I am listening to this my favorite masterpiece while hearing the sound of autumn insects .
The autumn insects will get wet with autumn rain and shake with cold .
I hear songs of transient life tonight .
Someday please come to Japan where is full of pleasure , surprise and a little pensive .
Soon mountains, forests and streets of Tokyo will be gorgeous scenery with orange , red and brown colored leaves .
The chrysanthemum , the symbol of Japanese Imperial family , will bloom large flowers everywhere of Japan .
Take care of yourself !
Good luck !
Two seconds after 2:43, you can see her expression change, as if at 2:45 the music imparts in her strong feelings. Just goes to show the power of good music.
Great interpretation but too fast in my opinion
brave
💤❤️
Impressionnidt Debussy
I n what was Rhodesia , in central Africa , about 1990 I taught a boy with the same sir name Gvetadze I wonder if they are related ??.
I dont know why , but i think dis is a bit fast but its still nice to hear from her.
Very good interpretation but from how I play it personally prefer it a touch slower. The rest was fine but at the beginning and in the second act it was rushed.
Unnecessarily rushed... just a tad.
Rick Deckard i think its only us who noticed how rush it is. Her playing is good i must admit but the speed sort of ruined it.
gog should forgives all the sins of debussy after this piece
Praise GOG
Quite rushed but beautiful
A bit too fast, it is marked "Andantino" after all
Well done! I just uploaded this too :)!
Jamás!
casi jazz
almost jazz
a little better on 0.75x
Chopin prelude a flat no 17
Too fast
fast is fun, slow is meaningful...
Beautifully played. I recognise the room - Arthur Jussen played Brahms Intermezzo Opus 118 no. 2 on the same piano. In my view, it's one of the best versions of this piece on YT. Check it out, you'll like it! ruclips.net/video/7Wo4IPNMzWQ/видео.html

Trop rapide a mon goût
Nice. No nonsense. I am doing a tour of different performances of this piece. Let's say you rate highly. Some well known names, who shall remain anonymous, make a travesty of this piece. LOL.
I wish I could be a brush upon her hair, to feel her hand upon that brush
Too hurried ...
This performance lacks variety of sounds and not reflecting on impressionists lightness and colorfulness.
