@@SSlash yeah he could change his mind, but Aonuma gave us pretty direct answer. They also probably would like to save some ideas for the next game. Considering there are 3 breath of the wild games. The only dlc I can see happening is one about Kass just not being around anymore.
I heard a theory (admittedly, it's a stretch) and it's by far my favorite. I think it was Hyrule Gamer that said this. He suggested a DLC based entirely on Kass, and how he left to a new continent to discover different music. Suddenly, at the same time as the Upheaval, the other continent needs help, too. So, Kass returns and brings Link back to this "other world" where he has to save them. Kinda like a Lorule but not a different dimension.
In the cutscenes there are a lot of things that didn't appear before, such as shrines. So it is very likely that time travel will be involved in the dlc, one shrine is visible in the gerudo assault near the southeast corner of the great plateau next to the great sky island before it went up.
@@Genegr (spoilers below)those shrines are not shiekah shrines, and if you look closely during the scene where Zelda looks at the great plateau, you'll see that the great plateau actually gained height over time, making it likely that the shrines were covered. This could also mean the shiekah shrines built above the shrines we see were powered by the energy of the ancient shrines. I actually spent a few hours looking for the exact locations of the cutscenes, and I concluded that: 1. Mount Hylia was not always covered in snow 2. Some zonai shrines were covered by the ground over time 3. Some trees have since died, but interestingly, many seem to have survived 4. The sky islands were grounded. The backstory of skyward sword involves Hylia lifting the islands up. Hylia reincarnated as Zelda, along with her powers. The islands went up when Zelda disappeared. It is strange that the islands weren't visible until Zelda disappeared, but it's likely the islands were lowered by the light dragon, as Zelda's wish before becoming a dragon was to protect everyone, and of course the islands needed to be possible for link to get to.
