Despite the shit launch (which I still haven’t forgiven them over) l do have some level of respect that they’re actually trying to make it better and aren’t pulling an ea where they just completely abandon the game (anthem). Same with CD Projekt Red & Cyberpunk, game should’ve never launched like that but glad to see them putting in the effort to atleast make the game worth the 60 dollars fans paid.
It's the new incredibly low standard of gaming. But that said I can understand as many games just give up after a month or two. They all make promises to "fix it" but most companies just give up. Stuff like Mass Effect Andromedia, Fallout 76, Anthem, Cyberpunk 2077 and so on.
For me, my main issue with it is the futuristic setting, and the dumb gadgets. I always liked bf for being that perfect in-between of being more realistic and tactical then call of duty, while still being more arcadey then the more hard-core fps games like insurgency and squad.
fair point, but you can't fault the devs for trying not to reuse the same formula for the hundredth time. We've had modern warfare with BF4, world war one with BF1 and WW2 with BF5.....if your not willing to accept new idea....what else if there to do?

I haven't even touched my digital copy that I PRE-ORDERED. Not just the glitches but as soon as I saw the specialist and emotes I gave up on it. I play Battlefield for large battle focused war with more realistic features in comparison to cod. No, now not only is it not working but made it more goofy and changed all the classes that we all loved.
Nothing breaks immersion like finding random sandbags lying around the city. I don't think many elite operators about to assault a building conveniently laid out some sand bags along their route in advance.

one thing i don't get is how battlefield players were bitching about the Santa skin saying it was "unrealistic" when in the trailer for the game a guy jumps out of a flying jet shoots down another jet with a missile launcher and then gets back into the jet he jumped out of
For battlefield standards I feel the gun play in 2042 is the worst in the series, I’m not saying that because battlefield 2042 gets pooped on a lot, I’m just saying out of experience from playing previous battlefield titles, a lot of the weapons in 2042 are laser beams with no recoil, they make snipers obsolete in some places.
A few things to note: The scoreboard still sucks, cause there's no scroll feature when playing 128 player matches, so you only see the top 40 or so players on both teams the Class rework bandaid what ever you call it hasn't actually done anything. No one plays as a team, and if they do it's a 1 in a 100 game. Also Some of the Class picks don't make very much sense, seeing as Mackay has a grappling hook and has increased ADS movement and strafing speeds, which makes him pretty much the BEST pick for a sniper build, because he can grapple to hard to reach places and has the ability to dodge incoming fire more easily than other specialists. The season 4 specialist Camila Blasco is way more suited to defensive and aggressive fighting, specifically with her ability to completely negate movement activated enemy devices like Boris' turret, TUGS, Sensor Pokeballs, and many more. Her X-6 device is very good at blocking out attackers in a Breakthrough/Rush modes, and in Conquest she's excellent for aggressive plays due to her aforementioned stealth capabilities. (Recommend using the BSV-M with shortened barrel and High Power rounds set to full auto) Paik kinda fits into that category aswell, she's very suited to aggressive recon and assault manuevers. Boris and Zain should honestly have been switched too, Zain is far more defensive than aggressive, which puts him pretty much a where the Engineers are "supposed to be, they're supposed to be defensive and have access to anti-cover abilities and weaponry. I mean he literally has health regen and an Airburst gun that requires patience and setting up to be accurately used and effective, not something you can just flip up and punt a few airbursts at someone, you actually have to chill, aim and register the firing sequence. While Boris is way more run and gun, and his turret is basically an extension of that point, he can hold down a hallway or place a turret and then flank in an uber-aggressive way like an Assault Class would be able to do in a past BF game. Transport vehicles HAVE FRICKING 40MM NADE LAUNCHERS AND 50MM ASSAULT GUNS... a fooking 50mm cannon on a Super Hind/Condor, or on a frigging JEEP! *A JEEP!* Main Spawns are still unprotected, BF4, is 11 YEARS OLD, has a AI-coded Spawn Anti-Aircraft that annihilates the enemy aircraft that goes remotely close or gets spotted within 500m of the AA itself. Also Maps are still poor and are too few, and gun mechanics are still super strange and the bugs are yet to be fixed ... LIKE THE DAMN MOUSE/CONTROLLER INPUTS!!! and the Gun Roster is still a bit lacking and gun balance is still not been revised or even looked at... there's a few Meta picks and the rest are just kinda .... meh ... like why pick the LCMG when you can have a ZERO RECOIL lazer beam gun in the form of the RPT-31... or why would you use a Sniper Rifle when the SVK, a DMR can 2 shot body shot AT ANY RANGE, while the SWS 10 and DXR require a headshot to kill at any range We're still awaiting Squad Management and incentives to actually play as a coordinated team... not sure when that will happen tho... Though I will give props to the recent Discarded rework, it's actually playable now as Infantry
The medic is only useful if you want to heal yourself. Your squad is useless with healing you anyway. Toolbags just running right past me probably laughing
I tried the game out again and I get what you mean its gotten so much better than what it was at launch I remember playing the open beta and it sucked and trying it out again now it's so good Probs 1 of my fav multi-player game at the moment
Definitely surprised me replaying it, I was ready to hate it all over again. While I do still prefer the others I did end up enjoying 2042 more than I was expecting.
I started playing when the class update came out and honestly it’s not broken with bugs anymore but just boring. After a month of playing I couldn’t anymore cuz the map, gunplay and flow were mid. I deleted the game 🤷♂️

You may not know it if you're good at the game but the weapons are litteraly laser cannons. Smg's, Lmg's and AR's are the exact same and can kill people up to 150 meters. There's also transport vehichles and vehichles in general that are easily the worst in the franchise. Especially the super hind and condor which are litteraly flying tanks
Idk man, I have a few clips saved where my sniper shots gave me hit markers and the enemy still didn't die or go down at all. Maybe they were hackers but I showed my wife and Evergreen she said that makes no sense. A 50 cal at 75 feet in the head should probably down someone. Or maybe I'm the problem

Depends, on average a little over 2 weeks. Most my videos are 20-30 minute reviews and majority of games are 15-30 hours to complete. So usually I can complete a game in 3-5 days, I’ll write the script immediately after beating it, usually record the next day, and begin the editing process which usually takes around a week.
Just a reminder that console players are still unable to find games without PC crossplay, and 2042 still has broken aim assist and no kbm support on console.

Playing 2042 in 2023 is cringe. Most people I see freak out about how amazing it is wouldn't last long in the real battlefields, and don't care about the gunplay or mechanics. If you enjoy it tho, play it, just keep it to yourself lol, you are the minority

It having 6x the amount of players on PC than halo infinite is wild probably 10x vanguard. So it gets put at an 8/10 for not being a total dumpster fire.
just played it today for the first time and have to say the game is horrible I did one round I only die once got about 12 kills am on pc with a controller

From my personal experience all my sniper headshots were one shot kills, could be hit detection bugging out or maybe armor not too sure

we all have our own play styles 😂. I usually spend the whole game trying to sneak up on tanks to c4 them, usually just get myself killed a bunch tho
