Saxby tanks are nice and more natural looking IMO. The first and last tanks featured are tacky/gaudy overblown fruit salad bowls to a certain degree. Abe's tanks are well thought out masterpieces. I need to get to elite reef, since it's a 15 minute drive for me.
Andrew’s tank is spectacular but I can’t help thinking that if you need a team of people to run it then it’s not really a “home” aquarium even if it’s in your home. Too difficult to decide on a favourite as they all have their merits.
Abe let me see his tanks a few years ago. In person with all those acro colors it literally took my breath away. Just beautiful. His placement of the acro to mix the colors is pure genious.
I've seen The Polo Reef display by Andrew Sandler face to face. To say it is breathtaking is an understatement. Just sitting there for a few minutes, you get enamored in the solitude and nonstop activity. And you are right. The equipment rooms look like a nuclear submarine control center. Andrew is so welcoming and gives back so much to the hobby. He is an incredible supporter.
Steve Weast new 400 gal tank is amazingly aquascaped. Dude has a talent for sure. Nice list. Man, Sea Friendly Reef has featured some really nice tanks over the years. I’m sure you’ve watched a lot of his vids.
My favourite one is the second one, looks like it has a lot of hide out places for fish and like they can all choose which part of the environment they want their territory to be.
I believe you will be sad to hear this. I've been a customer of Elite Reef for many years and still am. I live in a town near Denver. A few years ago we had a bad snow storm in Denver along with a nasty cold snap. The reef you showed no longer exits. The area in Denver were the store is located lost power for a few days. Most of the corals in that tank didn't survive. It was a beautiful reef and I was privelaged to see it in person. What survived, they fragged it out. I actually purchased one of those frags
It was too effective at removing nitrates and not effective enough at removing phosphates. And it absorbs a lot of trace elements so I decided it wasn't worth the bother.
First up, check to make sure it's definitely diatoms and not dinoflagellates or cyanobacteria. If it's definitely diatoms, that's usually caused by silicates which is in new sand but more commonly in your source water you use for top off water or water changes. Buying an ro/di filter or changing out old filters on your existing ro/di filter should fix that. Most clean up crew will eat diatoms too.
@@ReefDorkThank you. I star buying salt water from my local store. The brand name Catalina salt water or Catalina Island. I guess the water quality is bad. Thank you for your answer.
To answer the pinned comment, it would have to be Mike's Killer Nano, with David Saxby's a close second. But my favourite is Parker's Reef from Australia :)
Parkers tank is looking fine for sure. One thing I like about his tank is he’s got plenty of negative space and it’s not totally packed out so the balance between fish and corals is spot on (for now!)
I went to visit WWC a few months back. That tank is incredible but also it is impossible to see it well unless you sit on the floor due to reflections and ripples unfortunately. Good concept in theory but in actuality a bit of a disaster.
IMO when tanks get's to big they lose their charm, might as well just dive in the ocean. And also having alot of money and filling your tank with frags does not make a good reef or a good reefer. (this comments is just general about the hobby, not about the tanks featured.)
Which tank is your favourite?

Definitely Andrew Sandler's

Saxbys 100%, i dont want to upset your mate though😬

Brotha, thanks! I'm honored to be mentioned in this group of exceptional reef tanks!
thank you. im honored to be in this company

Mine is my favourite but I’m always jealous of every single reef tank I ever see.

Andrew’s tank hands down… but thank you for my honorable mentions 😂😂
Andrew’s is my favorite ❤. All are great though.
I feel like you were in a hurry when recording this. Great video as always, but, dang you flew through that list so fast 😂
Great survey, I agree with your choice.
I agree with your personal favorite - @coral Euphoria has amazing tanks and corals; great video
My favourite one is the second one, looks like it has a lot of hide out places for fish and like they can all choose which part of the environment they want their territory to be.
They're all great, but Polo Reef is nearly every reefer's dream.
My favorite tank is the one in my living room because I get to look at it every day.
I know David personally and I can hands down say his tank in person is insane
I was just at world wide corals this weekend. 3 hour drive
The rest on this list I had no idea they existed. Very cool

I would include yours because of the variety. And the Naoko's Wrasse is my favorite fish on the internet 🐠 😅
I see that you just stopped using the refugium, could you please tell me why and how do you feel about it? Did it have a positive outcome?
It was too effective at removing nitrates and not effective enough at removing phosphates. And it absorbs a lot of trace elements so I decided it wasn't worth the bother.
I have a aqua one 6ft 600 litre aquarium that is ran on a canister filter and it’s thriving
Hello, I have a question. I have reef tank for about a year now. I have problems with brown diatoms. How to fix this problem permanently? Thank you

You most definitely had to add ms emoceans !!!! But Travis’s 300 gallon from fishofhex should be on this list
My favorite Reef tank is my 60 gallons aqueon I have at home.😁😁😁
As soon as I saw the title I knew I would be hearing about Andrew Sandler lol

I knew the number one before we got there 😉
Good list, but no Parker's Reef?
Someone has the link of the withe " immaculate" no sand reef?
Mrs.emoceans on Instagram
you forgot mine.🤣
Sanjay Joshi. I know he is retired but, his tanks are insane
2:10 oh hell nah. There is no way that 30g nano tank looks better than my 14g nano. Let me mature my corals.
I'm very hurt by this video 💔😂
Yours was number 6 😇
@@ReefDork I knew it!!!
You forgot your tank mate😉
Prestige Reef has the best
Next vid is a top 10 I guess ;-)
Isn’t polo reef your mate, has he called?
Yep, just called I think! Wait...
That one tank is too clean almost in natural 😂
Abe Tirona is simply THE man. Awesome, high quality videos, and the very best health SPS I've purchased from

With a little skill and attention anyone can set up and stock a “killer” nano.
Any bare bottom system always looks horrible to my eyes.
Lies! Mine is top 5! Lol 😉
