I bought the RTX 4060 version of this exact laptop from Evetech a year ago, and I can attest to how good it is. It runs pretty much any game at max settings (with the exception of Cyberpunk 2077 and Farcry 6) @ 1080P. However, playing games like THE FINALS does see the CPU hitting 95% and the GPU hitting 85 degrees, which is pretty hot. And this is with a Deepcool laptop cooler underneath it. The laptop can handle these temps and the CPU throttles at 95 as far as I can tell, but I am never comfortable with the CPU staying at 95 degrees for too long. Ideally, a cooler like the LLanos or IETS GT 500 are necessary to get this thing cooler. And last important comment, as a left-handed gamer (which Wookie pointed out), all the ports being on the left side an be a problem, but I have solved that by elevating the laptop on the cooler and using an external keyboard and mouse plugged in on the right side ports of the cooler itself. Hopefully Evetech can bring in some high-performance coolers like the Llanos or IETS GT500, because gaming laptops need better cooling than a standard cooler can provide. Currently, there are no really good laptop coolers available locally. Overall, this 4050 should be a great laptop and only lag a little behind the 4060 variant which I have, but for R5000 less than the 4060, it seems like a good deal!
Awesome comment! Thanks so much for the kind words. We have fed your product suggestions back to the team and hopefully we will be able to help you soon! xD
Heyo I'm planning on buying this laptop but the version in my country (or at least the one i found for a good price) has the AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS with the same GPU. Is that a good combination/will it get performance like the model you have? Has the same things other than the ram "16 Gigs"
@@evetechtv Well i have the option to go to 64GB RAM but that makes it way out of my budget and the main things i will use it for is playing some F1 24 and maybe Cyberpunk with discord open in the back round.
@@YavkataXD Hey there...Im also looking at the same model as you are currently. Did you buy the 16 gig version yet? My only apprehension was that the R7 7435HS doesn't have an iGPU at all, so it would always use the dGPU . This combo doesnt make sense for a MUX switch, & battery life would take a proper hit right?
I just got this laptop but it comes with one 8gb ram ddr5 5600mhz , however the r5 7535hs support up to 4800 mhz so is there going to be a problem if i got a 8 gb ram with 4800 mhz and put it with the 5600 mhz one ?
@@evetechtvso if i got another 8gb with 5600 mhz would be better? Is there going to be any problem having 2 rams with 5600 mhz which is above the supported frequency by the cpu(4800 mhz) Sorry for bothering but i just got it and I’m confused
Look out, I almost went with that specific of tuf a15. I almost went for the 7435 but instead I went for the 7535. The 7435 has more core and threads but does not come with IGPU.
Watched Gamers nexus and Louis Rossman vids on Asus, hope Asus in SA treats its gaming patrons better.

is this better then the acer nitro 15 with intel i5 and rtx 4050?
Definitely. This is one of the best gaming chassis for mid range units

Should actually be slightly better in all areas as long as it has 16GB RAM or more

It should be just fine and slow down to 4800mhz no issues but matched RAM always performs better
