  • I show you how I manage to dot in straight rows and columns without using any fancy tools. Just your normal Drill pen that comes with the kit.

Round drills are so easy compared to squares! Squares take much patience, but are so worth it. With rounds, just take your time, that is what this craft is for, patience.

Love this method! I do a sort of checkerboard but this looks more accurate. Thank you 🙂

Fantastic video. After only doing square drills, my next project is round. I will definitely try your method out.

Lovely video! I work similarly on my DP’s. I work diagonally and do the checkerboard method. It works great for me and is a lot less fuss and a lot more satisfying. Speaking of satisfaction… what is this glue dot you are referring to? I must have them, lol. My wax clicks please my ears… but your dots sound amazing! I like your method very much!! Thank for showing us!!

If you've ever gotten a new debit or credit and it's stuck to the paperwork with a clear sticky piece, that's a glue dot. We use them in scrapbooking quite a bit. They're nicknamed snot dots. 😉 Get micro glue dots and you stuff a couple in your pen instead of using wax. They work great and there's no residue.

I super appreciate your reply!! I want to tell you that I’ve already purchased and received my micro glue dots. They are amazing in my diamond pens, and I absolutely love the tactile click that it makes when I left my pen off the dot once attaching it to the canvas!!
On an L O L note, I always keep an extra pen right next to me, stuffed with blue tac. Because that’s my other favorite medium for this purpose. It makes less of a tactile click sound, and the click sound diminishes a lot quicker than it does with the microdots.
When I hear my husband coming. And I know he’s gonna sit in the lazy boy and want to relax and watch TV, I switch to the blu tac pen… Because the click sound drives him up the wall… He hates the sound of nails being clipped, and that’s what it reminds him of, ha ha! It makes him want to leave the room LMAO
