Rebecca, that. Was. BRILLIANT! *laughs in Scottish* It was very funny, refreshingly honest/irreverent/iconoclastic and extremely useful, for example I am no longer tempted by a ticking Dior foundation. I mean if it’s just marketing a bit of virtue but not *actually* meaning it then I can sort of let them off with trying to cling on to the zeitgeist but if they’ve genuinely created it to self destruct in 5 seconds … pfffft. I also love the Prada (!!!) but my recent fave is probably the new Suqqu (The Foundation) which is fuller coverage than usually like but it’s a lovely formula and a good shade. I got a sample of the Mac serum because of your review and I also love that formula, but I can’t get a shade match. They gave me a NW10 sample but it’s too dark and peach (*hawk spit*) but NW5 looked like they thought… ‘they want pale? We’ll give ‘em pale! ‘ and leapt 20 shades to Halloween mask white *cries in Scottish as they cackle in Canadian*. (My theory is that even though Mac produced that lovely snowy eye palette this year, they are secretly loyal to the warm tones galactic Empire and her, Magnificence, Grand Empress Charlotte of the planet Tilbury. But then so is just about every make up brand, she said bitterly) For me, finding a foundation that is anything like what it says on the tin (Porcelain! Ivory! Alabaster!) as opposed to peach! yellow! pink! …next to impossible outside Suqqu, Cle de Peau and Chanel aka $$$$, $$$$$$ and $$$$$ This is the tragedy of the chief scout of the Cool Tones Revolutionary Army. *Anyway*, thanks again for a fantastically entertaining watch! 💕

@@Tshaw3465 As an adopted Scot (from over the border, boo, hiss) I absolutely feel ya. Why is everything so pink/peach/orange/yellow? I'm interested in the Prada one but I've already bought 3 shades of the Shiseido one trying to find a match (no harm, they get mixed in the ones that are too yellow/pink/peach/orange) so I've held off.
@@PoppyBryn2013 hey there! I love it over the border! Total sympathies on the shiseido. I have so many shades of peach/pink/yellow I mix like a mad alchemist muttering away trying to find just… neutral pale. If it helps at all I got the Prada in LN5 which is the lightest neutral (I’m more neutral cool) and I’m not gonna lie, it’s a little bit peach. Prada sadly also seem to have sympathies with the warm tones galactic empire. I think they do cool shades too ofc but lets face it if the pale neutral is a bit peach, the pale cool is probably/inevitably going to be a bit pink. But the formula sort of melts into the skin so I don’t notice so much. I mean It’s not Oompah Loompah or anything. Actually, I think this might be what they call the tyranny of low expectations 😂The best match Ive found is Cle de Peau in I10 which is an actual porcelain/ivory!!! It’s incredible! Unfortunately it’s also the price of a small family car so… 😕

I have so many un opened to try!😂😂😂😂 (Haustech,Lancome Teint Idol Stick, Huda Stick) I needed to re purchase HAUS lab and Fenty- bad shade choice)...what can I say-Im a face and skincare junkie!@😮😂This video was fabulous!🎉🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏👏And clearly a lot of thought and effort! Thank you for doing this for us, Rebecca! I love Dior, however, they are losing me with this nonsense reformulation. I don’t use up makeup in 6 months, so I refuse to give in to that. There is absolutely nothing wrong with preservatives.
The question is: is it really six months??? When things say 24 months I wear them years later. But six months with zero preservatives? They might mean it.

That is so strange that Dior has taken out the preservatives but kept in the fragrance . I see the new CEO of Dior is Delphine Arnault, daughter of LVMH head Bernault Arnault, and I wonder what else she has been doing there to try to shake things up.

My favorite foundation is the Prada. I can’t believe how much I love it. I have combo oily skin and it’s just beautiful. It’s all I ever want to wear. It’s true love for me. It doesn’t irritate or breakout my very sensitive and acne prone skin.
I do love the Danessa Myricks skin tint, too. It’s really good. I wore it a bunch over the summer.
I tried the Smashbox because they had a light olive shade. The shade was amazing. The foundation exasperated me. It either looked amazing on me or horrible. There was no in between and no clue as to how it would be on any individual day. It was always a crapshoot. I could never figure out how to always have the amazing day, so I returned it.
Yesssssssss. I call that makeup gremlin. When it’s either gorgeous or horrible and no reason for it!!! WHY is the Prada that good??? It was supposed to be a money grab!
You always make me smile! I struggle finding shades in all but Estée Lauder foundations. I’m light and cool and everything is too yellow on me. Dior has lost their minds with this 6 month crap. I was a serious Dior girl but now I refuse to buy their stuff if I have to throw it out in 6 months.

@NotFitforPrintBeauty that's what I'm wondering. With 24 months it's probably got so much preservatives in to keep it to that point it's not a surprise if it lasts longer. But with 6 months is it a 6 months then off the cliff because they've had to work really hard to get it to 6 months so it only just scrapes it there.
@@NotFitforPrintBeautyExactly! I keep my makeup for years. I have a few of the new blushes and eyeshadows so it will be interesting to see what happens in a few months. The liquid foundations with a 6 month shelf life scare me. It’s sad because I’ve always loved Dior foundations.

Hi Rebecca, great review! Yes Rabanne rang me to offer a full refund if I returned my foundation but I chose to keep it as it’s so beautiful, it’s very lightweight and radiant with good coverage and longevity. They withdrew it due to unstable consistency with some being too thick or too runny and they didn’t want to disappoint their customers so they are working on perfecting it and will re-release it next year. I was very impressed with their honesty and loyalty to customers. ❤

All I keep seeing is Prada foundation laughing in Italian 🤣🤣🤣. Prada is also my favourite this year but it’s tied with 2 you didn’t mention, Suqqu The Foundation and the new Guerlain powder foundation (but was that only new to us in UK?) 💕

Amazing video, Rebecca!! I could say so much here 😊 I would caution on thumbing at the Dior expiry dates as I just found my Dior concealer separating color at 90 days of age. 😮 I’m returning to Nordstrom.
Sunscreen in base products is a hard pass for me. I’m a skeptic except with Bare Minerals as it’s a mineral sunscreen. People just don’t get the severe skin reactions to this brand and can use it with health conditions so it has a place.
Oh no!!! So you’re seeing a deterioration around 6 months? That’s my fear! That this expiration date is real. Oh dear. As for BM, yes, often recommended by dermatologists.

Great video, Rebecca-you work so hard for your community! I’m still unapologetically rocking and love my Estée Lauder Double Wear even with all the new releases. I always seem to come back to it. My girls are just getting into makeup, and I got them the Dior Face and Body because it is a good ‘value’. The 6 month claim drives me nuts, and if it ends up being true then we will not continue to buy. We are about 3 months into this bottle so we will see what it does in a few months.
Totally. We are all watching our Dior bottles skeptically!!! Meanwhile EL DW is classic for a reason!

Wow, what a lot of foundations to go thru, and I'm sure that wasn't all of them for 6 months. I'm surprised how many there were. I'm off to check my Dior foundation and see if it says 6 months, because if so, I may as well be wear and enjoying it instead of some others that will last longer.
Oh there were definitely more releases but those are the most prominent ones. I just had to keep it from getting too out of control. Time will tell very very very soon if Dior really does go off at six months.
This was a great video. I didn’t know about Dior foundations. I bought one about a month ago. I bought a Valentino foundation and just realized it had expired months ago and I just got it in December. So I will definitely not buy another. I would like to try the Mob or Prada. ❤

You are so much fun. If desset beige in The Estee Lauder is light for you, try 2W1 Dawn. 3N1 was a shade darker for me so I went warm from neutral. 2N1 to 2W1. Hope that helps.😊

As a foundation junkie, I absolutely loved this video and the way you broke down so many different releases! I would love to see something similar involving powders in the future ❤
This year I’ve been loving the Dior Forever Glow, Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin (the primer is so nice too), and the new MAC serum foundation. I got a deluxe sample of the Valentino one and it’s so good but sold out everywhere in my shade! The Armani Luminous Silk was an expensive disappointment…I feel like it’s so “mid” and creates dry patches where there were none.
The Armani is totally mid. That’s how I felt about the glossier at first but it’s now growing on me. Maybe I need to take my Armani back out?
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty the weird thing about the Armani is sometimes it looks great, and others it’s flat out bad, even if my skin is in good shape! I have a theory that it doesn’t play well with a lot of primers and moisturizers, but I can’t confirm 😂

I'm remembering that the Prada has fragrance in it, doesn't it? I agree that the MOB Beauty, Hourglass and Danessa Myricks products are great. Basma was okay but a little irritating for me (it has retinyl palmitate). Rose Inc. and Glossier emphasized wrinkles/pores too much for me. I've been thinking I should try that Bare Minerals one and the Fenty stick. The MAC one has some ingredients that I'm not sure I can tolerate, but I should go to the store and try it since you like it. Great roundup!
Yes! The Prada lists fragrance but my nose does not detect one. Odd. I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on the MAC if you try it.

Getting the right shade is just so tricky. But if you do, you will never go back
I have no idea about SPF being a filler but I would rather not have it at all. It either breaks me out, separates, doesn't last as long or all of the above. So I would much rather have skincare in my ya know...skincare? Crazy! Haha but you don't get the amount of SPF anyway so seems unnecessary. But there are just a couple, like literally just a few I do enjoy regardless. I really need to try the Prada. Which one would you say is more hydrating or a satin finish for pores, redness, etc? Prada? Ok Prada 😂
I HATED the Fenty drop foundation too. Nope. Even with my oily dehydrated skin. And didn't cover my acne at all ❤
It’s so funny. Fenty is either right or so so so wrong. The Prada will solve every ailment any of us have. But it’s just so hard to get the right shade.

As a foundation addict, I was shocked to find that in all of those, I only have 1 and 1 on the way. MAC is one of the only brands I can get here in store so I got that one...but they only had the NC shades so I find it to be a touch too warm...and I've ordered the Prada..still waiting for it. I've been debating the Hourglass and the MoB ones for months and just haven't taken the plunge! Gosh Rebecca......feeling an order in my future now!!!! Thanks for a great video!!!!

No spf in Prada. Yay. No fragrance that you can detect but supposedly it is on ingredient list.
I just got the Prada foundation at the airport in Milano (I am originally from Italy, born and raised) so I was lucky to try it on in person, that foundation is the bomb. It replaced my Chanel N1 as my favorite. I also just bought the Dior one yesterday, really liking it as well. I am a big fan of the original glossier skin tint, the one nobody liked 😁. I also love my Valentino concealer by the way😮

I like hourglass best and their last release very much also but different type, the saie and then Danessa. Medium I love Dior capture totale over everything it’s soooo nice! Not sure which release I have then next Chanel 1. Cream I use patrik Ta over the capture it’s so pretty.

Rebecca, you are hilarious this morning. Are you sure there wasn’t some thing in that Coke zero😉 I do not have most of these foundations except the Fenty stick which I do like. I’ve been waiting for this video so that I can make up my mind. Once I use up some of the ones I’ve been using for the summer. Yummy skin tint has been on my list and I think it’s definitely in my cart. I think I’d love to try the Prada but I don’t want to order from out of the US. I think someone said it’s being sold online through Prada? And I know I have noticed the shiseido on you in the past videos and it really looks good. MOB hasn’t been on my radar since it’s cream but maybe for winter time might be good option. I’m looking forward to others comments too. Thanks for doing this video.

Oh and speaking of Bobbi Brown, I read they are getting rid of all (!) their powder makeup and reformulating. People have said BB is not announcing it but powder items are being heavily discounted and not restocked 😢

They are all going to do this one by one. But the thing is, it doesn’t have to be six months. Mob beauty says 24 months. Oh this is so frustrating. I know you don’t like the Mac face pen for the packaging, but the liquid inside I have to admit is the best concealer I have tried in so long. It’s thin, it covers I don’t need powder i would say it does not crease. I’m 43 and I’m swearing by this for a under eye concealer. It truly did surprise me. What is your holy grail foundation of all time? I’m looking to try a new one during the Sephora sale. 😊
You know what? You're inspiring me to try it more as a concealer than a foundation. I know that's actually what it's meant for. I'll do that today actually so thank you for this! My favorite all time foundation is probably the Surratt Dew Drop. But that's not at Sephora. At Sephora I'd say probably the mario and the haus! :)

Received the Louboutin creme compact foundation. I haven't worn it much because I've been exposed to COVID (!) and don't like wearing foundation with a mask. The times I have worn it I've really liked it. The match is perfect, which is amazing because their shade range is poor. It has a fragrance that smells like an old lady's underwear drawer. Fortunately, it dissipates right away. Yes, COVID is still with us. I had forgotten all the annoyances of masking and hand sanitizing. So far, I have no symptoms and have tested negative. I pray I do not get this disease! I've had boosters but not the most updated one. I call the Louboutin my Covid Compact because it arrived the day my sister came down with it; we live together. Stay safe this fall and winter everybody!!!
Ohhhh no. COVID continues to be a menace and NOW we can add that it’s preventing foundation experimentation. I joke obviously as I know it’s also quite a serious illness.

I love this video ❤. I continue to use lisa eldridge mixed with a hydrating primer. Also, got to try the hourglass tint and i love it. I feel the secret is in the texture. Very keen to try prada and dynesa yummy skin. We're kind of shade twins!

I have the old Dior nude foundation and I love it but the new six month shelf life on products, not for me . I’m using up Chanel No 1 love it 🥰 and EL double wear mixed with the Advanced night repair serum . This combination is great for a special occasion for longevity 💕🤗

I really want the Prada. But I maybe wear foundation once every month…or two. I have the Dior Airflash (RIP to a great one) and the Hourglass. I will never use them all before they expire. I am totally obnoxious because My skin is nice on its own but I want foundation solely for the love of it all 😂

Yes. It’s low in the list but it’s there for the dry down. I’m so sorry. That is a disappointment and tough for daily wear.

Hi Rebecca! Just a reminder for anyone with sensitive skin (like me) that the Shiseido foundation contains octinoxate. I have extreme combination skin so it's really difficult for me to find good foundations. I was thrilled that I wound up loving the DM Yummy Skin tint and I really like her yummy skin primer as well. I returned that weird MAC injector looking foundation. Mine leaked and the shade was what every shade predictor told me to get and it was just weird and wrong. I have the BASMA foundation stick but again, wrong shade but honestly, we just don't get along. It just sits on top of my skin. I actually might try the Prada and the MOB beauty. Thanks for the review!
Thank you for pointing out a problematic ingredient. I do not get into ingredients very much so it is really lovely when Community can do it for us all. So I am very grateful. That Mac pen was just stupid. Totally agree on that.

I’m more into skin tints but I did try the Hourglass and Danessa Myricks and found them both too thick - not saying bad products just not the texture I want so I ended up buying the YSL NU skin tint and love it. Also love the newer Chanel water tint. Kinda dying to try the Prada! If it ever becomes easy to get in Canada I will!

Wow!! That is crazy how many foundations have been released in the last six months!!! Although I haven’t tried all of them, of course, BUT boy do I have opinions😂Of the items that made the list, I tried Danessa Myricks’ Skin Tint and the Basma stick foundation. I LOVE the skin tint, perfect light weight foundation and it just looks beautiful on the skin. I also enjoy the Basma but I found that it didn’t last very long. I’m almost finished and only have a smidge left. The shades and the finish are wonderful. It is long lasting without being drying and gross. I know it was compared to the TF stick foundation and it very well might but I haven’t tried the TF so I can’t really say. However, what turns me off is the price. I thought it might be a great value compared to the beloved TF but Basma is .22 oz; whereas, TF is .50 oz, so even though the Basma is a little less than half the price of TF, but the TF really is a better value, it would seem.
Anyhow, you know how I feel about sunblock and /or skincare in my foundation, nope they must remain separate. I am very disappointed in Tarte with that foundation, definitely leftover stock. Shame on Tarte because they make some nice foundations with the original amazonian clay still one of my favorites. Lastly, wanderlust…how I LOVE them and want them to do well. They have wonderful products. I haven’t tried this foundation but have used their powder foundation for years.

The Basma stick definitely fooled us into thinking that it was a cheaper version of the Tom Ford but, you are entirely correct, not so much when you compare amounts. And the Tom Ford will last all day long on the skin. So sometimes I guess you get what you pay for? But that yummy skin is just amazing

I love the RMS blushes and they have some lip products that are really nice as well. I haven’t tried very much other than that. Oh, their highlighters are delightful as well.
I wont purchase anything that has short shelf life. It is a ploy to keep spending/purchasing when it goes bad too quickly.
Pay it no mind I never had one go bad. If you pay attention it’s on you.
The question is: is it really six months??? When things say 24 months I wear them years later. But six months with zero preservatives? They might mean it.

I am not sure of the name of it but the shade I need to get is one shade darker and neutral. So I have the deepest light shade in neutral and you basically want to go with the lightest medium shade also in neutral. Does that make any sense?

It's so funny, I have also really been loving the Dior Forever Natural Nude. It was my ride or die this summer along with the Guerlain Terracotta!! I am confused on why it is an Ulta exclusive?? But like you, I always know I am gonna be a 3N!! Can't wait to try the Prada, but I need to be matched in store. It's just hard to pick the correct shade on-line and causes me to have anxiety.

Dior is just playing on people's emotions trying to act like they care about the earth but really it's a ploy to make more money for them it's about the rich getting richer..lol it's like they are keeping these pallets and foundations to long we have to sell more so we will go with the 6 month expired date and it's "CLEAN" so it has to be replaced 🙄
Don't get me wrong I like Dior but I don't like the price tag with these products that's expired date is 6 months and I like preservatives atleast I know I'm not gonna catch some weird stuff after I spend all this money in makeup. I am not a big fan of them changing all their formulas of classic products that were really nice and now you don't know what your getting if it's gonna be good or not the blushes and shadows for example that take forever to make a dent in and they say it needs to be replaced after 6 months is crazy .

Do you know if the shelf life for the Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation SPF 15 is 6 months like the Dior Natural Nude? I just bought a bottle and started using it last week. I was planning on alternating my Armani with the Dior but if it only lasts 6 months, that will spoil before I finish it. :(
Everything newly redone by Dior will be six months. Or so they say. We will soon find out if that’s a hard date or if we can play with it a bit

Such a glut of foundations! The only one I'm guilty of among this bunch is the Fenty stick, which is good but temperamental. Sometimes, it looks fine on me, then the next time I put it on, it won't blend well or it collects into pores. And I use the same skincare routine every day. Oh, yeah, after seeing your MOB review, I immediately ordered it and have been enjoying it for months now. I've been thinking about the Prada foundation, but since it's been such a long waiting for it to come to the US, I've lost interest. I feel I need to confess to you, Rebecca, in lieu of a priest, I just this moment ordered the new cream compact foundation by Louboutin. Ouch, it's expensive! I have no business buying such a thing. I can't afford luxury foundation. I certainly can't afford the damn Louboutin shoes! But the foundation looks so lovely. I hope it looks lovely on me once it arrives. I hope you get it and review it. I'm curious to see what you think of it. The shade range isn't so hot. Only about two choices for us pale chicks. Now, I have to try and get over the guilt. I love your foundation reviews, Rebecca.
