I tried following a Bob Ross tutorial

Hey everyone!! Today I decided to try something different. I tried to follow a Bob Ross painting tutorial. And...welll....you'll see how that goes. I knoww I wouldn't paint as good as the man himself, Bob Ross. This was a trend like years ago so I'm a littllee late on it. I have just been waiting to try it. Bob Ross says to never use pallet board or paper because the oil soaks into the paper. He suggests pre stretched, double primed canvas. Also, liquid white does help with blending. He uses odorless paint thinner to clean his brushes. His teacher, Bill Alexander also has a RUclips channel in the same technique. He moves so fast in his shows that it is sometimes hard to follow. Your painting looks a lot better than my first one. My mountains looked like pyramids.

Yeah I think u can do it!! So u need a canvas. Liquid white to put on the canvas. It's those fine details he mentions over and over to let u know if u leave 1 of these steps out your not gonna be happy with him or the painting. All the steps are greatly important

gotta have the liquid white / magic white down first. makes everything easier. or else the oil soaks right into the canvas instead of floating atop it

this is really good! using the "wrong" paints than what he uses makes it so much harder XD i did this the other day and was like okay walk away and it looks way better haha well done though
