He does make jokes about drug abusers, but with Britney there was an obvious mental breakdown. It largely seems contextual as to who he decides to make jokes about.
No, I agree with the first post. Remember, he even compared Spears’s breakdown to his alcohol use in that monologue. I think that monologue came from a more emotional place than a principled place.
I didn't think he trashed her too bad. A few critical jokes, sure. I thought he was more focused on the system needing to get her help, rather than just locking her away.
