Kevin E. O'Connor, CSP is a senior lecturer at the Institute of Pastoral Studies (IPS) and the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) of Loyola University of Chicago. He is an alumnus of the school with his bachelors degree in Philosophy and received his third masters degree from Loyola. Kevin also teaches physician executives, hospital administrators, and pharmaceutical executives around the country how to lead those who used to be one's peers. He holds three masters degrees, has written seven books, and holds the CSP designation, Certified Speaking Professional. Less than 550 persons in the world hold this honor for speaking and teaching excellence.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. I've been thinking about how to differentiate myself from the rest, since the job search game has proven tremendously difficult. I've gotten so many, "we went with someone else", that my dream job, which I'm interviewing for in FOUR weeks (9/18), has to manifest with a generous offer. I've done my research, and will learn more about the company to prep for the interview. I'm meeting with: the regional director, local director, 2 admin assts, a case manager, and the HR director. I'll def report back after the interview, and will also let you know the outcome, as soon as I hear...probably last week in Sept. 🙏
