I always grew up appreciating bands like dance Gavin dance, alexisonfire ect for there layered guitar melodies and never really listened to math rock until recently. I'm pretty lazy when it comes to finding new music so these mixes work out perfectly, they're all I've been listening too lately. So thanks for that dude!
Checked out Hannibal Montana to find out more info and realized I literally know the guitarist from that band and we've played shows together before haha
If you have ever drowned before, and witness before you as your body sinks, the lights dancing and the fish passing by. You would understand the great significance such beautiful compositions possess.
Postmadonna I reminded the logo Crystal Castles. But it's more artistic and have much, much more color ( CC is in black and white and Madonna appears hit in one eye)
Like what? Name me a 70's prog rock band that sounds like TTNG, LITE, Stage kids, or Monster Machismo. You probably can't. I can think of Yes and The Eclectic Mouse that sound similar to some stuff on this playlist to be fair, and Siberian Khatru by Yes is the most 'mathy' song by them I know of. When you get into really 'mathy' stuff there's nothing else like it. Honestly if you can name some stuff that you claim is similar but better than this, then I need to know so I can listen to it and enjoy it. Seriously, there's too much for me to go through, too many obscure bands that I'll never hear of unless someone like you tells me about them.
I can listen to math rock like toe and uchu conbini and for hours while reading. Not sure what prog rock there is that's both so busy and relaxing. And a lot of the genres' songs also sound nothing alike to me, tbh.
The genre maybe math Rock, but I f****** truly love to draw to this

"Math Rock" seems to be little more than third rate '70s Prog Rock.
Now, now, it's a lot LESS emotional.
