This one was much more ambient und magical than the debut. Very structured in a way, but very expressive in the tone each song wants to show off. A very well blend of enormously huge creativity. Heard it live. Best shit I've ever heard. This is as high quality as it can get to in terms ofs crispness. Clearly their best (so far). Hard to beat, to be fair. 9.0/10. It follows the likes of Pink Floyd where the album consists of songs but each song is a landscape on its own and each connecting landscapes have to fit into the narrative and all that. Its insane how good this album is!
The opening track, LIGHT, might be one of the best songs I have ever heard. The slow string built up, slowly emerging guitar, flowing into great funk and warm, hooking vocals are blissful. The longer live versions of this, for example at La Cigale, are even better.
I especially love that the end of the closing track transitions perfectly into LIGHT. There's no reason to do this since you will almost never listen to an album this way, but it just goes to show the attention to detail put into the album on a conceptual level
