- This home was found on a reality website selling as land (does not mention the structure) and they will normally give people the green light to visit if you show interest like I did. DO NOT MENTION the location of this house to protect it from theft.
: Exploring Abandoned Anything can be dangerous or Deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any Abandoned structure. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal and when possible, i seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures a only leave footprints. I assume all the risks & responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. Their could be nails, Asbestos, Falling concrete soft floors, animals or other hazards. Thanks for Watching
Original Video will be uploaded tomorrow on North East Outdoors
Wall: "I'LL DIE IN HELL"
post10: "got an ironing board"
I think that Pennywise would feel at home in that house.
@@TheBntimmins Or Oscar the Grouch lmao
Creased
Yep
The bathroom screams “Here’s Johnny!”
Damn you got there before me haha
You just need a knife and keep screaming to give your location to the murderer, lol (don't take this advice please, if your actually hiding from a murderer)
Love how he just casually says it looks like an axe went through the door
Beat me to it 🤣
"Look at that sludge. That's so gross"
If YOU say it's gros then it must be really f...ing vile. Lol.
He knows the potential horrors of mystery sludge in a jar
You know it. Shut my eyes like he just said Woah look at dat spider!
😆😆
Normally when I see videos of people exploring abandoned buildings I fear for what the person may find in there... But with the legend post 10, I feel fear and even pity for whatever is unfortunate enough to encounter this beast of a man and his unstoppable rake.
Those are not Beta tapes, those are 8-Track Audio Cartridges.
Looks like a nice reel to reel in there also.
Something to remember about people who are chronically messy or feel compelled to hoard items - what you are looking at is deep trauma and unshed tears amoung the boxes and excessive stuff.
I would have totally taken that old TI 99/4A computer, Tandy disk drive, and Akai open-reel tape deck from there. All abandoned and better to go to a good home, plus worth a bit of money. Nice video. I love seeing (and sometimes visiting) abandoned places.
That "compass" is near correct,
It was a device to turn the direction of an outside arial antenna.
Anything beat going out in all weather to turn the antenna of the off chance to get a better signal.
I was going to leave that comment. I had one for years that thing lasted forever.
Gee, thanks for the heart. I wasn't expecting that!
You can see the rotor on the uhf antenna outside.
I've seen some creepy cellars in my time, but that one takes the cake. Ugh! You've got a lot of raw nerve going down there alone. And you didn't check the records on the steps at 15:00! I would have.
Maybe wear a mask when exploring old houses and culverts, some you’ve shown are nasty! Enjoying your content, subbed
At 2:38 When you bring your Clunker Vehicle in for Yearly Inspection and it Fails
Take your Clunker Vehicle to the Inspector who you can give some extra money to under the table to pass your Clunker Vehicle. Easy... if you have such a connection or connections though.
...Goes to show thieves aren't very bright... Between the piano, organ and reel to reel recorder, You're looking at probably $2,000-$3,000!!!! And who knows what other gems there are... But the thieves want to wreck the place for $75 worth of copper...smh... sad.
You ever move a piano or an organ?
That building is more structurally sound then me
The "compass" thing is a directional control box for a motorized aerial antenna. It was used to point the old-style outdoor tv antennas more to where the signal was coming from. There is one just like it in my parent's old home here on the property.
I hope all that old audio equipment doesn't go to waste.
My thoughts exactly
I love that kind of stuff. It would definitely be a treasure if any of it still works.
If your roof doesn't leak , you can see your beautiful solid clean floors, your kitchen has cupboards full of food and you have solid walls, you are so blessed.
This house makes me sad for the family that had to leave because of the unsafe conditions of the house. With you listing everything that was wrong with the house, and what would have to be replaced, it would be unrealistic to try and save it. Thanks for the walkthrough at one time it would have been a pretty house. Take Care and Stay Safe.
The "compass that you plug-in" is actually a control box to rotate the motorized tv antenna that was normally found on the roofs of homes.
Fascinating old building.💚💚
That was really cool, nice change of pace. Great vid man
Thats the best thing i've heard you have kids chewing on the walls. I literally laughed out loud. Thats why i watch all the videos there all different not the same stuff over and over. Keep em coming
I literally laughed out loud when he said that too.
I’m loving your commentary! You’re so knowledgeable!
Well said 👌🏻
i could swear i've seen this place in a dream of mine before
That is wierd that happened to me too
Huh me too
That would be a nightmare.
Liminal spaces, google it.
@@labadaba5088 its not a liminal space though, ive seen plenty of those. i more mean the house and the surrounding area, albeit in the dream i'm remembering it from its more like a cloudy fall day or early winter day but still
I worked in a Govt fire research lab. Optical smoke detectors are what's recommended, rather than ionization types. They are far more effective at detecting smouldering fires. Ionization types are also liable to give false alarms from hydrocarbons etc.
Old upright *_working_* piano, Reel to reel tape machine, 8-track tapes and player, nice old furniture...dude there are some treasures in that old house...the box you called a GPS when you first walked in looks like an antenna rotation controller box (which would explain the big antenna outside.) You simply turn the dial to point your antenna to whichever nearby city/town to pick up OTA TV stations....cool find!
im getting "The Shinning" vibes from this new video
I love old structures with history like this. Fun to try to piece together what you can about the people that lived there.
Great video! Thanks for sharing ❤
that Akai tape deck brings back memories of my time in the Navy!! another life for sure.
3:55 I was honestly expecting a "HERE'S JOHNNY!" clip to be inserted there.
Yep...time will stop for all of us.
I love seeing super old packaging and old toys and old bottles and things left right where they were for years and years.
The "plug up compass" looks like what was used to turn and turn TV antennas before the invention of cable or satellite.
When I saw the basement stairs I said out loud, "Please Post 10 don't go down there!"
Only a true New Englander says bureau when referencing a dresser. Cool vid man.
Oh yeah, post 10... Also, that electric organ is actually pretty rare. It's a "Conn, model 580 - theatrette" value would depend on if it worked or not
That structure can be renovated nicely. Interesting. Thank you!
This place would actually be worth taking out anything of value, monetary and historical, before it's sold. Because when it is, they'll probably just come in with a bulldozer and turn it all into landfill. Places like this can have a few gemstones scattered throughout all the junk if you look closely.
I don't know how someone could live in filth
Wish I could buy it renovate it and keep all the old valuables
I have been watching your channel for about a year now and I always say "how does he know all this stuff?" You fascinate me with your knowledge.
Knowledgeable + informative
The "compass you plug in" is an antenna rotator controller. Used to turn tv or ham radio antennas to get better reception or send a direction signal.
We toured an abandoned house years ago, and there were mushrooms growing on the walls, doors and other places, small trees growing right on the junk on the floor, and moss everywhere. It was in far worse shape than this house, but was out in the country and nobody cared to burn it down. Usually they use burn them for practice for the volunteer fire departments in our area.
What’s the problem? It’s cleaner than my apartment was in college 🤷♂️
🤣👍
It might be technically salvageable, but the cost to gut and clean and renovate everything would probably be more than it would to tear down & rebuild. Even here and now, my cousin paid way less to buy land and build than to buy an existing structure.
I think the best thing to do with that place is to bulldoze it to the ground and build a new property.
Chainsaw and bones, those 2 together are pretty sus, considering this house is from the 1900s where the most scuffed stuff happened. I would get officials to dig into that stuff by looking at old owner records and the ground beneath.
he just walked through that house and i keep seeing stuff i need.....
"I think that piece of wood is holding up the building" - made me laugh out loud and think how glad I am to not be there!!
The basement leads to Silent Hill.
More than likely this house was lived in alone by a musician and radio enthusiast. They more than likely died in the mid 70s and one of their children moved in modern day. They neglected the house, got rid of nothing and more than likely neglected their kids. God this is depressing. Weird to think about what you might leave behind if you left tomorrow.
Why do I guess what I said? The audio equipment, instruments, radios, retro computers, probably some ham radio equipment that got sold for heroin by whoever lived there.
Oh damn, you should have rescued that reel to reel 10:20
Looks extremely eerie😳
No one:
Post 10 after every sentence: *_inhales_*
Whoever lived there was very musical. There is some serious vintage music equipment in that bedroom, and the piano downstairs must be worth a few dollars!
Texas Instruments home PC! That's so 1980's!!!
Wow, not only did they have a TI-99, they had a Tandy 1000 and assorted floppy disks.
15:45 Pretty creepy thing to say just before going down a basement from out of a horror movie.
How sad to see the remains of some family's life.
i just have to say i love your voice lol. always listen to these before bed. :)
haha, I'm catching up this morning because I fell asleep half way through last night. Pure melatonin in this mans voice & that's a good thing!
And you love trains too 😅
You should of taken a closer look at all the old computer stuff. I'm a nerd, so I'm into that.
Those chickens clothing was scattered about.
That texas instruments box upstairs look like good shape even boxes can be sold for good money
Is that an old cast iron pot by the old lawn mower? It sure looks like it - awesome
Definitely some nice stuff for an antique store
That box on the shelf was a VHF antenna controller for adjusting the antenna on your roof to recieve a clear signal for free tv back in the day. The more you know heh Also the tapes were 8 Tracks.
It’s so very sad when you wonder what happened to the people all that stuff belonged to , very sad🌼🌼🌼🌸🌸🌸🌺🌺🌺🦋🦋🦋💫✨
At least they didn't for any freeze on a turd.
all jokes aside I like to see RUclips videos on automobiles. I don't know if you really like all automobiles, but the way you're thoroughly describing this property and the walk through it reminds me of how someone would do that with a machine. 🙂👍
Holy crap that reel to reel
Damn there's so much stuff in this house that's super interesting to me. I wish I could find stuff like this...
7:00 its CONN 580 organ. Unique instrument.
Three things I'd save from that house: 1) The gorgeous bed frame...looked late 1800's. 2) That mercury mirror with the surrounding portion. 3) The Corning ware...saw a coffee pot over the basement stairs and a casserole at the base of the stairs.
Ask the owners of this place to have tag sale to sell the old vintage furniture, the pianos, and anything is that's saveable in there. You could probably get good money on Ebay, for that "Texas Instruments" box which is in the upstairs bedroom. If those burn marks could be removed from that 1978 license plate, that would be cool to have as a wall decoration in a man-cave!!
Interesting...
(I wouldn't mind exploring abandoned buildings where I live, but I haven't come across any, so far...)
(I would hope someone sensible bought these kind of properties and turn them back into functional/livable houses/buildings; Like they do on HGTV / I.E. "Good Bones" or "Home Town...")
(I don't know if this sounds wierd or not, but I would like to go through some of the stuff in the rooms to find/take anything of value or that could still be used... / An example would be the books, the clothes and maybe some of the electronics; If any of it was still in the original box...)
Thanks🙂👌
You welcome عزيز
"compass" is actually an off air tv antenna rotator controller
Ooh 14:06 brings back memories, this is the first 'computer' I had when a kid
No way he is going into the basement 😱
That's an old reel to reel recorder at 9:14, with the piano, organ, and drum , I wonder what type of musician lived there?
That organ is the only thing that I would salvage, maybe the piano. It looked to me like it had some squatters for awhile after the original tennant passed on, some of the piles of stuff looked too new to belong to the original owner.
When post10 says something is gross, it has to be WAY beyond gross. Oof I shut my eyes immediately.
Yep, you got that right!
I think that's a fishing tackle box by the front stairs.
A rare "tickle" of the ivories in video. House had a lot of memories for sure. Thumbs up!
Can you make more abandoned house videos?? I loved this one🙂
19:06 that’s a human bone on the floor!
Was that a nest on top of the ceiling fan?
But ..bones. 😱
10:21 im surprised someone didint take the reel to reel tape player. some can be worth high coin.
Like the doggy on the shelf
When post say it smells gross, you know it’s putrid! 🤮
10:11 looks like an 8 track and cassette player. There were also 8 track tapes.
For the towns you go through most, you might want to see if they can tap you into their GIS system so you can see exactly where each drain is. (Arcgis viewer on your phone)
My guess is that an elderly person or people lived there and might have become hoarders after their children moved out. And might have kids toys from grandchildren or they hoarded that too
That was a perfect situation for gloves and a mask. Thanks for sharing your adventures Post.
I'm sure I spotted a Tony Hawks pro skater case on the floor near the eminem poster
14:09 - pleeeeease open it up and see if the TI computer is in it! That would be a nice item to take from the house before it gets knocked down. Considering the condition of the box, it might be in good shape.
What the heck is on that ceiling fan blade in the front room?????????????
Birds nest
19:58 And at that moment, Post10’s soul left his body 😂💀 🦴 🥜 🌱
What a terrible roof design for the addition
3:53 HERE'S JOHNNY!!!
