I get teary eyed when fry visits his mom in her dream. Right in the feels.
Edit: should have been higher on the list IMO.
I was going comment the same thing. IMO it would be #3..... #2 & #1 are right where they belong.
Definitely should of.
I'm only on the first half of season 8 so I haven't seen some of these and they seem kind of sad, and so far season 6 has been my favorite.
It really hits me since I lost my mom in 2010 😢
I agree. It's my #1.
Frys mothers dream should have been in the top 3.
Tiny Rick I cry every time at that it’s got so much emotional weight.
For me, top 3 are:
1. Seymour waiting for Fry (this was a CLOSE 2nd until my own dog passed away)
2. Luck of the Fryish (was not expecting that ending the first time i watched)
3. Leela's parents are revealed to have watched over her for her entire life
4 luck of the fryish
3 fry’s mum
2 semour
1 bender saving fry’s dog
Agreed top 3 for me are
1. Jurassic Bark
2. Luck of the Fryrish
3. Game of Tones
Top 3:
1: Fry's Mom
2: Luck of the Fryish
3: The Devils Hands Are Idle Playthings
Jurassic Bark still gives me chills every time when you watch the world change around Seymour but Bender's Big Score sort of soothes the emotions. The Devils Hands Are Idle Playthings doesn't get mentioned enough, the ending is amazing.
Jurassic Bark's ending scene is the saddest thing I have ever seen in my entire life.
I avoid most Futurama videos and reruns in case I come across Jurassic Bark. I am, like most people, so jaded that I can shake off most things but that episide gets me every time and always will. Stupid loyal dog. :(
Watch game od thrones and you will delete this comment
Based on Hachi
Then u aint seen enough in your life!
Try boy in stripped pyjamas or Grave of the fireflies
watch benders big score. seymore lived for 12 more years with a copy of fry.
Bender choosing to erase his son Ben’s memory so that he can live his dream should be on here
What episode was that
Season 9, Episode 1 - The Bots and the Bees
Yes , this was very sad
eatyourcereal season 6 or 7 episode somthin
eatyourcereal IT only has 7 season
Seymour waiting for Fry is one of the saddest cartoon moment of all time.
I think it's one of the saddest TV moments (cartoon or live action) of all time. I just teared up watching the clip.
See "Bender's great score", one of the films. With sad moments
Roland Schlösser this scene with him waiting for fry is soo sad
Fry's line right before makes it so much worse
Roland Schlösser agreed
Dude, that holophoner opera... when Lela tells him to keep going after everyone else left because she “wanted to see how it ends”.. man, everyone deserves to have something special like that.
On god I actually love that part so much. Should’ve been on the actual list
I've been watching Futurama since I was 7 and then the Seymour episode still makes me cry!!!
me too. me too...
@@googisthegreat1397 me tree
Me 4. I'm rewatching the series and I completely skipped over the episode because I was already feeling down
Same
Futurama tops almost all modern shows. It’s witty with its jokes, always changing stories, full of plot twists, and just overall, in my opinion, is the best show of all time and NOTHING WILL CHANGE MY OPINION!!! FIGHT ME!!!
I can't this was my favourite show ever.
Plus, unlike Rick & Morty; Futurama's science elements are actually easy to understand and appealing
What's your opinion on gravity falls
@@MrEndstage OK I absolutely miss that show as well.
Ok nigga calm down lol...
Truly a show that made us cry not just out of comedy
But of sadness as well
I will never Ever Ever ever ever ever get over Seymour 😢
Eva Calles let’s talk about it 😉
shooters shoot smh. but this show was amazing
Never ever get over you 😩
The Luck of the Fryish will stick with me forever
amazing episode huh? // dontyouforgetaboutme
There, now no one can say that I don't own John Larroquette's spine.
I just saw that episode yesterday, it really moved me
One of the greatest episodes of television ever. It understood the pains of youth and family and the countless hours we as individuals waste arguing with those closest to us.
This episode got to me far more than Jurassic Bark.
Like if Futurama is better than the Simpsons
I don't really watch the Simpsons, my main shows have recently been South Park and Futurama, I've been waiting for this season of Family Guy to finish so I can watch them all together, it's been awhile since I've watched it.
Both shows hold up really well. At least the first twenty years of the Simpsons do, up until the movie.
@@esparzacartoons2050 I have seen the movie and thought it was ok, that's about all the Simpsons I've seen
I agree. It’s always better than The Simpsons. I wish they continued the series.
@@EchthelionII my main show is south park as well i've almost watched every episode of every season and i can't wait for the new one this week.
The episode where Fry finds his old dog and doesn't realize that his dog waited for him since he left for the future always makes me cry 😭😢
so basically what they put as no.1?.. lol u said it like its not on the list
*_Shut up and take my money!!!_*
I loved that scene 😎
Fry's mom's dream should of been a lot higher.
fucking honestly, with how they made it work in the show. Fry rarely focused on the fact he missed his family so much but even admits that it was just because he knew he would never have chance to go back. And yet at the same time he finally had a chance, a brief moment to actually go back and talk to his mom, even if she believed it to be just a dream, he knew that he finally got to see his mom after so long. Rewatching it again, it had me crying.
Of
It's just so sad that her dream was to see her son again. No mother should ever have to have to deal with that
Luck of the Fryish does it to me every single time! I relate on an emotional level as I didn't have a close relationship with my older brother growing up and it wasn't til I went to college that he actually became my best friend. It gets me every time because it always makes me remember that even when we weren't always on good terms, a part of us never stopped loving each other. If something happened to either of us, I know that we would be there for each other always.
I just cried at that episode today. And oh damn I never knew a cartoon could make be bawl
I think we all knew what #1 was before clicking this video.
Easily
Futurama has been my go to show since I was 10!! So fire!!
Dean Redmond same
Same😔😢😢😢😭😭😭😭😭
Me too. It’s so sad it ended 😢😢😢😢😢😢 But at least we got Rick and Morty
I've been watching Futurama back when I was a kid. And the balance between comedy and emotional moments was really great too.
Same fellow Dean lol
I miss Futurama :(
Lobstep Gaming Dude me too 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Still comes on on Comedy Central. Quite alot actually
FOX and Comedy Central Are Both Really Douchebags!, Get Cancelled
Profile pic checks out :)
same here, how the show got canceled twice is beyond me.
I'm not crying, you're crying. Lol. This is one of the reasons why I love this show. They can weave together the emotional moments in with the comedy. The writing for this show was amazing
So many prefer Jurassic Bark as the saddest and while it was emotional many of the more human moments touched me more like Fry realizing that his brother missed him so much that he named his son after him, Leela first discovering her parents, Fry in his mom's dream, Zoidberg finding someone who truly loved him, Farnsworth reconciling with his parents etc.
I know you mentioned Fry's sacrifice from Love and Rocket, but I would also put his attempted sacrifice from Into the Wild Green Yonder. The fact that after believing he was the Dark One, he was willing to use the Omega Device on himself to not only save the asteroid, but also so he wouldn't hurt Leela, gets me every time.
FUTURAMA: Come for the laughs, stay for the feels.
I want a relationship like Fry and Leela's.
I want an animated women, real women smell
Just think hopefully u can find a girl that’s been saying the same thing and y’all click skip forward to drinking on the porch bsing and bitching about the neighborhood while ur kids run around in the yard
@@gageisbell4338 we can only hope my friend. We can only hope.
Take notes Family Guy and Simpsons, this is how you make a series, make moments, and even end on high notes.
Simpsons and Futurama were created by the same person.
So was the Netflix show Disenchanted, cant wait for season 2
It's weird how Futurama and Simpsons are created by the same person and yet Futurama is way better
@@jokerofmorocco Futurama had less restrictions
@@jokerofmorocco it's "newer". He must've learned from his mistakes and successful decisions. It's been 10 years between first Simpsons episode and first Futurama episode.
#1 isn't actually that bad seeing as Fry ends up going back in time and living out Seymours life as pre Lars. We are only led to believe that Seymour was alone at the time.
Holy Shit you just blew my mind
@@joshuathomas8385 xd
I’m a little confused, what does pre Lars mean?
@@mersifullwolf4054 pre Lars is just Fry before he becomes Lars. Fry becomes Lars when bender tries to kill him and fails, and then returns to the future.
Everyone always goes to Jurassic Bark but the 4 leaf clover always was more emotional for me and the episode in the comedy central era where he got to say goodbye to his mom
This is just my opinion, but the Game of Tones to me felt like they just wanted to have an emotional conclusion.
I think the Meanwhile ending of Fry and Leela was the most emotional episode of the Comedy Central era... That or the end of Into the Wild Green Yonder...
for real
my number one would be when leela went crazy after fry got injured by the bee
Damn, Seymour waiting for Fry still feels like a punch to the feelings, even after all these years 😢
Futurama is one of the best shows ever. You can watch it over and over and it's still fun to watch. Personally I'm glad it ended as it did. I think if it kept going it would get Simpsonitis. When shows like Family Guy and The Simpsons go for so long they start to lose "heart". Peter and Homer are so selfish and downright dangerous without caring about what they're doing to their own family. All the characters on Futurama always cared for each other. Even Bender who was a robot loved Fry.
As in he episode Leela gets into a coma, Bender says “When I say kill all humans, I always whisper 'Except one.’, and that one, is Fry.” or something like that.
Well they're apparently bringing it back. It needs to remain a passion project in order to avoid falling into the mediocrity trap, as you described. But I think it'll be fine. The last run had a couple of hiccups but overall still kept the spirit of the show intact.
No other moment makes me cry like the part with his mother its just too real for me
Futurama>simpsons
I'm glad it ended. It was a great show and I didn't want it to become what The Simpsons are now.
Simpsons and family guy are straight up boo boo to what they once were
true
I agree with that statement
It's more consistent than the Simpson's but prime Simpson's in the 90's is arguably the greatest show ever not just animated shows I love both and Matt Groening is a talent
Great picks... But Fry's Mom's Dream was 10? should have been top 3!!
I was so sad with the end of Jurassic bark, that for along time i couldn't even watch it...but then I really pay attention to Bender's Big Score and realize that Fry did spend that time with seymour...so I'm happy again🤗
You forgot Bots and The Bees when Bender says goodbye to his son
Majinism that made me sad. They should have added it.
Futurama... Almost 20 years later is really a pitty that this ahow is so underrated!
The episode with the bees is one of my favourite episodes of any TV show, it’s such a rollercoaster
I think I was 12 when Futurama started, I was beginning to realise the nuances and clever writing by then, it always has a place in my heart over The Simpsons.
Back then that was the raunchy cartoon to watch lol before the fam guy 😂
Family guy aired two months earlier.
I never considered myself a huge futurama fan, but god damn it I cried more watching this show than any other tv show combined
seymour gets me every time
same
It’s 2020. I’m a senior who didn’t get a graduation. I watched this series so many times while it was on Netflix. I’m literally crying. Thank you Futurama. For everything
Futuruma was one of those shows that had alot of heart and knows how to make you feel sad
Fry’s moms dream literally made me tear up, it’s amazing how a silly cartoon can make you feel so much
I saw Seymour and still decided to watch this. What the hell is wrong with me?!? 😭😭😭
Now I need to go watch Bender’s Big Score to make it better.
Futurama is one of the most underappreciated shows I know of. Before the final season, it's hard to find even 1 truly bad episode.
it has bad episodes(most of them are from season 6 and 7), like:
Zapp Dingbat, The Butterjunk Effect, Fun on a Bun, 31st Century Fox, Naturama, Forty Percent Leadbelly, In a Gadda-da Leela, Attack of the Killer App, Lrrreconcilable Ndndifferences, etc
Also movies are average at the best (except Benders Game which was mediocre and forgettable),
The last season didn’t have any bad episodes to my mind really.
Charles 8777 Fun on a bun had a pretty emotional moment in it though at the end. And Naturama was pretty unique and funny. I still think 40 percent led belly was good too though
I’m pissed that Fry’s moment with his dad when they were ice fishing isn’t on this list
This show could leave you absolutely bawling sometimes
The good news with Marianne is Zoidberg, at long last, found himself a special somebody who loved him for who he is (smell and all.)
The bad news...after the events of the series finale, it may seem that her place in the time would be removed. At least, I think that's what would happen; after time restarted...AGAIN!
I was honestly expecting #10 to be #5 but whatevs
Seth Macfarlene couldn’t write moments like these to save his life.
Logan Bangerter Without ruining it with an offensive joke at least.
That is true... He can't be serious to strike emotions except killing Brian and the only emotion everyone to that was anger... Not good for a show when your ratings drop 43% for doing a stunt like that...
Agreed!
It broke my heart when Leela fell in love with Lars, only for Fry to find out that he himself is Lars. That made me so sad and happy.
His graveyard realisation makes me cry every time
I can’t watch the seymour episode I cry every time 😭💔
I was 21 when I first saw that episode and needless to say I was choked up.
I can't watch it at all!
Thanks for making me cry all over again!
I just watched the dog episode on Paramount yesterday, and I cried like an idiot for three minutes. It was just heartbreaking, that Fry did not get to know how much that dog loved him, and never had a chanse to see him again. Not even as he is own son.
I came for the laugh but I stayed for the emotions
#1 is a Hachiko reference... I cry EVERY time I see that episode...
Every time I watch these episodes, it seems like it's gonna rain.
*settles hat over eyes, looks up at the cloudless sky, and cries*
RIP SCRUFFY!
Clayton Epich Don’t worry about Scruffy. The Professor turned him into a zombie.
Fry's Mom's dream always hit right in the feels since it's so close to home
The emotional moments were great, and part of what made Futurama such a strong, overall package, quality wise.
The ending to Jurassic Bark is so heartbreaking that I have literally only watched the episode twice.
Diddo
The saddest part is, this episode was inspired by a true story of a dog that waited every day outside a Tokyo train station for his master to come home. The master died at work and the dog passed away 9 years later
@@emergency0314 really? 😢😢
I knew Jurassic Bark would be number one. That was the saddest thing I had ever seen in my life. But what most people don’t know is that it’s actually a homage to a real-life dog named Hachiko that lived in Japan in the 1920s who would meet his owner, a college professor, at the train station every single day but when the owner died suddenly, no one would take the dog in so for the next 13 years the dog would continue to come to the train station and wait at the exact same spot every single day for his owner to come back up until the day he died. There’s even a statue dedicated to him in the exact spot where he would wait. He’s been referenced numerous times in other forms of media and even a film was made about his story called “Hachi: A Dog’s Tale”
I don't understand how Game Of Tones is only number 10.
The ending of that destroyed me.
I am a grown up man, I will not cry
*three min later*
**** you Futurama
This is truly one of the best shows ever. It's rare to find one that mixes hilarious comedy with emotional storylines so flawlessly
Futurama is one big part of my childhood.
I’m so happy “Lethal Inspection” made it in here, one of the most underrated episodes by far!!!
The dog waiting for Fry gets to me every time.
That last one with Seymour really got me when I first watched that episode. It's heartbreaking to see a dog lose his/her owner in such a way. I'm glad Bender's Big Score fixed it to make it a happier life for him.
That dog one got me big time
Edit: Reminds me of hatchi 😭
Seymour's waiting was made even more heart wrenching by the song that played with it...hard for anyone to watch without..you know..
Even in that brief talk about #1 I still teared up... that one always gets me.
this series never failed to deliver feels!
I remember watching this show with my friends and now they moved so it reminds me of them
Fry's Mom's Dream should've been MUCH higher. That moment DESTROYED me and still makes me cry to this day.
I remember actually shedding a tear for that scene with the dog. That was so sad and then I was laughing hysterically about it because of how jacked up it was lol
I still remember watch the last episode on TV and as soon it ended the first once began again
The luck of the fryish ending still hits home to this day!😭😭😭
Jurassic Bark and Fry’s Mom are probably the two saddest
Great list. Although, you could argue that we did get a resolution for Seymour waiting for Fry in one of the movies, since it revealed that Lars was an older Fry who got to go back to 1999 and live with his family again, including Seymour.
Here lies Phillip J. Fry named for his uncle to carry on his spirit. And you call yourself comedy...
I saw the Seymour episode with my mom, forgot why, but we both cried at the end, who would’ve thought futurama could make a bond with ur mother badass....still makes my eyes watery...best cartoon ever
Lil’ Budd Light lol nice
Sk Roules r u following my comments? 😂
Lmao no that’s why I commented when I saw your comment ha haha
@@skrates4382 u going down mojo subscriptions? I do that every night
Just the ones I feel like watching. In my recommended feed and subscriptions
The first one proves why puppies are man’s best friend
Fry hugging his mom should be #3
U forgot Bender's son losing his memory, that was a big sacrifice for bender. Teared me up.
Also the episode with Lars & Leelu, and how he ended up never stop loving Leela & Came back into the future for her just for him to die. It made Leela realise Fry was truly the one..
Deserved to be in honorable mentions =/
Seeing Seymour age while he waits for Fry makes me cry.
the fact he didnt know his dog was waiting, tears me up!
The episode Luck of the Fryish hits me so close to home, and each time makes me weep like a war widow.
I never thought Futurama was a serious show until Jurassic Bark, the ending threw me for a loop as it was really sad and made me cry.
Seymore you put Lassie ol yeller and snoopy to shame
Finally, a list I can stand behind
Bender’s Big Score: Am I a joke to you?
Even though it didn't play the last scene (with the music) with the dog all the way through, I still bawled like a baby
The last scene in the series finale is my favorite part. I miss this series.
Bub it’s not just the jokes or the funny humor or binder it’s the show itself it has some if not the best heart breaking eye tearing and great moments in this show that makes it awesome and yes I don’t cry at all but when I saw the binder finding his master the seven leaf clover and seymour episodes I did
I'm already crying already by watching this video
Aw yes one of my favorite shows of all time
Seamore waiting is #1 for me, it reminds me of a stray dog that always gravitated to me when I was a kid in Mexico when I used to visit my family. She always came to my family’s house just to see me. Me being 32 I haven’t been there ever since I was 11. I’ll never forget you peelee.
honestly I've watched every episode at least ten times and still on every sad episode I have not be able to not cry
So many (and MySelf) watched this as kids and loved it as adults.... I want there to be another reboot SOOOO badly...
