Brilliant! And I agree that Vallejo English Uniform is perfect for the BD uniform, that's about as perfect as one could wish for. Also fantastic idea kitbashing them with the Resistance figures. Cheers!
Forsythe looks amazing - ready to "give it up'em"! I'm color theory challenged, and I *never* would have thought about adding gray to the brown. Game changer for me! If only those entrenching tool covers could be easily modified for the Great War BEF.
@@peterclarke7240 yep and I like that I have bits left over for kitbashing and are pretty compatible with stuff from Northstar and even got some parts to go with some Victrix saxon bodies. Also have more heads then I know what to do with now as well lol
The figure look s great! I have your reviews on Wargames Atlantic models in the past and they really are impressive kits and I think they are good value with the various head, arm and weapons combinations. Thanks for sharing this.
Thanks so much! You are a brilliant guide! Perfect timing for me. Personally I was hoping for even more droopy, old bushy moustaches as I'm doing the equivalent of the LDF in Hong Kong in 1941.
Great paint job as always. I find you always get to a sweet spot between speed and result, figures look great on the table. How about a video series on how to plan a paint job?
I generally like WA bodies, but the head joint is always so off, it stands out so much, looking like an old action doll. Also the heads are stupid big. When I saw this kit in the WA official ads, I was skeptical; with your paintjob however, they look great.
Check out the 1942 film 'Went the Day Well?' for a gripping tale of the English homefront, keeping in mind that the outcome of the war was still in doubt when it was made.
Not really. I did mention that the SAS bodies are a little thinner, so the arms from the SAS kit don't match up and hands won't meet without some serious gap filling on the BEF bodies.
Generally with putty & plasticard it's possible modifyng poses and building new figures, I found that Oorah 's arms, very thin, are useful for female Cannon Fodder's bodies.

The face on this model is incredible
The heads on these guys are very nicely sculpted, they're a joy to paint.
Dad's Army! So tempted to get some and paint them up like the wonderful TV series :D
That’s a nice looking mini. Paint really brought that one to life. Great work as always!

If WW1 is your thing, check out WA's Great War range, there are bunch of WW1 sets in WA's digital archive as well if you have a 3d printer
Wargames Atlantic have really been knocking it out of the park recently
Easily my favourite miniature manufacturer right now.
Very good sculpts, good range, and cheeeeeeeaaaap.

Amazing Box! Thank you so much!
Always need more Bren guns, I am off to watch some Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels scenes

Lovely painting and an enjoyable watch, thank you.
My favourite bits are always "I want to take it a little further".

These look awesome. Definitely foresee some Home Guard in my pile of shame.
This video came at the perfect time. I picked a box of these up at Salute (they also were giving away free sprues of them too!)
The picture and audio on this video are fantastic. Love the tutorial too.
I've a feeling there's a scarf on the Resistance Fighters sprue that would make a great addition for a Pvt Pike!

Thank you , Troy .

One of the greatest films. Also 1958s Dunkirk
Superb film. Used to watch it with my dad whenever the beeb showed it on saturdays. Love a British ww2 film.
Do these scale perfectly with their SAS/Commando models you get through 02 hundred hours?
Not really. I did mention that the SAS bodies are a little thinner, so the arms from the SAS kit don't match up and hands won't meet without some serious gap filling on the BEF bodies.
@@SonicSledgehammerStudio thanks, started watching and had to abandon when my thoughtless colleague phoned me
Give 'em some knuckle! 😜

Hmmm 🤔 some of these plus bull dogs = dads army in space .
I'm currently thinking of a "blackadder goes forth in space" army using the les grognard arms combined with the WGA first world War models...
