First thing you should try is communicating right off that you have a studder. That's what a coworker did for me. And then he would chat at all an we bonded so great , moving boxes, pushing carriages , for years. I would chat with him about my life and he would always listen. He started to be so comfortable with me it wasn't a big deal. You will be fine.

I don’t agree with the group theory, trying to single her out on the approach would produce the opposite effect. The friends will see you as a creep tryna side talk their friend. You need to WIN the group over first and THEN you single her out… c’mon tripp you should know this… reply to this was a mistake on your part
