Freedom Planet 2's marketing promotions still look promising. On Steam, it is recorded that 300 people are playing. We need more publicity than that.
This comment just prompted me to write a review thanks.
I wrote a review yesterday, took two hours but it'll hopefully convince someone to buy the game.
There are two types of people
Those who found this level challenging
Those who bought a Metal Shield Charm
HAH i did not long before this stage
What about me, who found the level not too challenging but didn't bring a Metal Charm? :P
I bought ALL the Charms and kept switching them depending on what hazards and attacks I was going to face in the level. Combined with 3 doses of Strong Shields, made for a great combo.
would say i went in without such charms...but i had mastered the quick time shield dodge ability.
In fact you even can combine Metal Shield Charm (with Strong Shield potion) with One KO. The cheesiest way to get S rank on this level :)
using footsteps as the percussion for the final level theme is absolutely genius
I'M A FIRING MY LAZER!!!!!!!!!
Merga has come to make an announcement.
Royal Magister is a-
"Merga this is an intervention."
It's about time I hear a song in an action platformer that is very reminiscent of the Psytrance & Goa music genre. Man...
We need more VGM composers like the ones in your team! ;-)
when the full soundtrack launches I will buy it, the entire soundtrack in the game is awesome
This sounds so beautiful love the atmosphere it gives off.
hahaha atmosphere
The fact that you have to fight the Crystal while Merga is trying to take you out with the small screen really reminds me of the boss fight from TMNT III
Pulseman does something similar too with one of its bosses
Even with the official music uploads, it makes me feel like soon a freedom planet 3 will be development, but for now let's enjoy with the sequel we got now.
I don't think FP3 will ever exist, now devs fix bugs and do FP2 better. But the sequel is really enjoyable and is really huge to explore
@@rubylinegaming probably won't be well after the console ports are released before we get a fp3 announcement and even the it'll probably be a year or so after
@@rubylinegaming we have no way of knowing if it won't exist. Just that it's gonna be a couple of years before anything happens if it does
I loved the atmosphere of this level. Bakunawa's mouth opening and closing in the background.
That inevitable confrontation ever closer.
This stage was terrifying
Such awesome game. I am glad for buying it!!
Is the OST gonna be available for purchase?
I also love how this level's boss was really reminiscent of that final hallway before Brevon in FP1
it's on bandcamp
Nuuu
it's on bandcamp
i wish you all the happiness and success of time its self , the universe and beyond
I AM GOING TO PI- ...destroy... THE MOON!
I don't know what it was about this level specifically, but the framerate started chugging for me here.
The lighting on this level makes lower end computers tend to chug
Yeah, framerate just went poof for me. Barely managed to defeat the boss in this stage, I was one hit away from dying lol
I guess my rig is just a powerhouse compared to most as I had no issues with this stage what so ever. I hope that didn't detract from your experience of this wonderful game!
@@aldorain1016 Not really. The stage was still playable. Of course, my PC is also by no means a gaming PC in terms of specs, so there's also that
Same with me lol
So excited for you guys to upload the song “Broken Family” it’s so good. But all I can find is the alpha version on RUclips.
somebody already uploaded it under “vs corazon” so you could try searching that
Just like final dreadnought round 4
This soundtracks is so epic and i love it 😍
Had to set the res to 360 to make it run at a fast framerate, good thing I'll double or triple dip on this game once the console versions release next year
The floor, walls, and ceiling are lava, don't touch
cool!
Final Dreadnaught 4 anyone? Quieter and Ominous Music.
Yep 😉👍
I'm eagerly awaiting the trailer music to drop.
it already did
@@Gyrokun Whats the name of the song so I can find it?
@@rept7 I'll just give links
Trailer ver. : ruclips.net/video/VGEG0BOQq6U/видео.html
In-game ver.: ruclips.net/video/PPq8eepCvfA/видео.html
@@Gyrokun Ah. Sounds like the song clip from the end of the trailer version isn't officially posted anywhere as anything. Best I can get of the main theme is probably the rock covers done of the first game's theme.
@@rept7 yeah, sorry about that.. I kinda wish there were a full version of the title screen theme hiding somewhere as well, but that riff at the end of it goes pretty hard
this the thing i hear while this level screws up my game and laptop
I'm not sure which vibes are strongest here: Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal; Donkey Kong Country 2; or Another Medium from UNDERTALE.
My potato computer ran at 2 frames per second on this level.
Yeah, same here, it's somewhat playable in window mode, the level was still a pain in the ass tho (unless you have the metal shield charm)
@@enzoponce1881 i had heard about that before I retried the level in the smallest window mode so I got the charm as a pre-emptive measure.
When will this be avaliable for switch?! I was obsessed with the 1st game!!!!! Had it on PC AND Switch 😅
The console ports are coming next summer. ^^
Will there be a DLC for Freedom Planet 2?
Will you one day release Freedom Planet 2 on PS4?
Yes, Summer 2023 along with the other console ports.
@@siphillis thanks for the comment, if you release this game on PS4, one day I'll buy it
Torque i thought I heard something once about a torque spin off ? Is that still a thing and Is spade getting one too?
I believe they were planned as DLC for FP1, but that was scrapped to instead work on FP2.
@@bobbovine
Well 2 is finished now, I wonder if they’ll ever come back to finish the job.
Hi, could i use this music's game for my videos if i credit you, please?
freedom planet 3 pls
Seria daorinha um jogo de luta oficial do freedom planet
Is your marketing promotion going well?
Hey, GalaxyTrail! If planned for freedom planet 3, make it into a 3D game or not.
Hi galaxy trail can you make a freedom planet 3?
PLEASE put this on consoles! It would sell AMAZING on them! (Especially switch😉)
Reminds me of celeste chapter 9
Years later...
There's no Freedom Planet 3 sadly.
bruh it's literally only been one year lol

I am sorry for what I said earlier today i can't control it i am sorry for that
I don't think there are many people playing these days. Even with a lot of fun elements.
Say, Galaxy Train. I've been following this game for quite some time. I've seen a lot of people praise it, and after looking at the game, it has tons of charming characters in its world. With that in mind, I've always kind of wanted to ask you guys something.
...Why the *BEEP* was it so important to give the protags flat human-like faces!? I could understand if you wanted to appeal to the people that need their characters to look like humans with one, maybe two playable characters, but ALL of them!? You couldn't even have ONE strict anthro among the playables!? Like, seriously, I could understand wanting to appeal to a massive audience, but all this did was alienate part of your potential audience. I'd be going through the game not thinking about the gameplay or the story, but rather why I'm forced to play as these human-with-dog-nose characters when I play games with anthros SPECIFICALLY to NOT have to have to play as a human. It gets really insulting when, even members of species that are supposedly the same as the playable characters, they STILL have pronounced animal faces, but NOT the playables. Like, why? Why was it so important to alienate furries with your "furry" characters?
Honestly, I have yet to buy the game, and I probably won't because this is a dealbreaker for me. Again, I play games with anthro characters to NOT have to play as humans, so making all of your characters more human-looking than everyone else just comes off as insulting.
My own explanation:
On earlier development stages, the new designs were made keeping in mind their FP1 designs, which also had human faces. The shaded versions were technically finished new designs. Maybe they wanted to give them more animal-ish, I really don't have an idea, but they'd have to rework HUNDREDS of sprites. It's not easy, believe me.
Most of NPCs have animal faces because first, they are practically all completely original designs (secondary antagonists, btw, also are completely original), second, they were probably made on later stages of development when the studio likely changed their art direction when it comes to characters, and third, it was way easier to make them because it was way less sprites to draw. Lets just count: most of NPCs have a walking (flying) animation, an idle animation and 1-3 dialogue animations, while playable characters have: a walking animation, running animation, fast running animation, jump animation, double jump animation, a ton of attack animations based on direction, including specials, guard-while-standing animation, guard-while-running animation, dialogue animations, idle animation, secret animation, braking animation, launched-by-spring animation, rail (forgottheword-ing) animation, crunching animation, and the list goes on.
Each animation took them about 5 or more sprites to animate, so reworking EVERYTHING would be a lot of extra work that wouldn't really affect overall game quality. They'd probably please people like... you know... YOU, but I'd wouldn't make the game feel more fun to play, it wouldn't make music sound better and it wouldn't make story feel more interesting.
Sorry about a giant paragraph, I hope that what I wrote makes at least any sense.
@@user-rl5ub8nk5i Do you not understand how easy of a fix it would have been? Just make the faces a little longer. That's it. It would take, maybe, a minute tops to edit one sprite, and this would discount back sprites. And, honestly, doing this WOULD have made the game more fun because it would have given furries, AKA the people this game was SUPPOSEDLY trying to appeal to, characters they could actually connect with. Furries play furry games to play as furries, NOT humans with dog noses. This very decision to have human protags in a furry universe, IMO, ruins the game.
@@baalfgames5318 Idk, maybe something is wrong with me, but I am a gameplay guy. I come in to play the game, try beating it no-hit, speedrun, simply have fun. I suppose we are just different types of gamers and we look for different things in games.
And what I wrote about editing sprites/how it affects thegame/etc are just my own suggestions. I am also absolute zero at art/pixel art, I just have friends who are good at it, and they say that editing this kind of sprites and not losing their quality is hard and time-consuming. I understand it was a mistake to compare amateurs to a dev team. Maybe it's really easy to change the sprites. But anyway, I don't care about their designs. They don't look bad, and it perfectly fits my standarts. Again, we are just different types of gamers I suppose
@@user-rl5ub8nk5i I'm just going to say this: a protagonist can make or break a game for me. I don’t need to relate to the protagonist, but I do want to like the protagonist. In addition, I want to see the protagonists succeed over the antagonist. This kind of design decision gets in the way of that because, by making the characters look more human than everyone else, not only does this make them less interesting and creative to be more like a species that millions of other characters are, but it also forces a species I literally play games to not have to play as into the characters. And, once again, all of the playable characters suffer this decision, which makes me not like any of them, which makes me not want to play as any of them, and because there are zero mods that fix this AFAIK, it makes me not want to play the game because I do not like the protagonists and will not enjoy playing as them, especially not when just about everyone else is more likable in design.
