The comments around 22:00 about messing up your opponent's room should be a proverb. You talk about Yulin Yang saying "can tenuki" and hearing his accent in your head. Whenever I reduce from now on, I'll be hearing "mess up his room" and "take something on the way out" in your voice. Thank you VERY much for the video!
Liked that metaphore too, and: putting your toe in the pool, slide in vs diving in. Good form Nick :) Only thing I missed sometimes was a real board context: you showed a sequence, but said: "learn this sequence (but it's not very good on this board)" - still: thx a lot
+Jo Habe Yes, trashing someone's home is pretty cold. My big takeaway was the probing move. Ask what your opponent wants most, just so you can take it away. My instinct was like the other kyus which was to take the left-overs, but I can now totally see the value of that probe. Someday I want to play it.
I found the five ten pretty much immediately. I'm kinda proud of myself! Also, I've noticed that a few people find the one guy who asks a lot of questions annoying but I think he actually adds something by it. By asking these questions he helps give examples of what not to do if he happens to be wrong. I like him. Dan was his name, right? Not sure if that's right but keep asking questions man, it can only make you a better player!
