As a Somali who regularly visits to Kenya since 2009, I want to highlight the exceptional kindness and warmth of the Kenyan people. The people of Kenya have left a lasting and positive impression on me. Making it a place I always look forward to return to.
Born and bred in Eastleigh. That's my hood and I know it like the back of my hand. Moved out 10 years ago but I still visit my relatives. Eastleigh is a city on its own only if both the national and the county governments would do right by it by providing the requisite services like garbage collection, roads and sidewalks, adequate water and the residents have to endevour to keep their environment clean. The potential for Eastleigh is immeasurable.
You can't expect an incompetent government to do this. The business community of Eastleigh will have to be the ones to fund and arrange this. Sorry, but that's just how things are for now.

@@USSEIN_WAJEER Hello my friend. Please forgive me for my slow response. Yes I did in fact move to Mombasa. I'm in Nyali in the area known as "Mogadishu Estates.' The area is growing and it seems they are building new homes everyday. I actually spent a week in the hospital there back in March and the treatment was comparable to what I receive in the US. What I love about Mombasa is the year round great weather, Nov - April are the warmest months but even beyond that it's still bearable as far as heat. The cost of living is extremely low especially for a retiree from the US. Kenyans complain about rising prices but what they pay for goods and services now is what we were paying in the late 80s early 90s. There is a night life in Mombasa but it doesn't compare to the US if that's your thing. The people for the most part are extremely friendly, very respectful and helpful. Of course there are"bad apples" too but nothing like in the US. I think the biggest issue here is pickpocketing. There are plenty of shopping stores in Nyali along with fruit and vegetable stands on every corner. It’s because of shrinking middle class, the rise of online shopping, and the fact that there were simply too many malls contributed to the decline of the American mall.

I was there when it in completion. I knew it was going to be great but i had doubt about the dirty streets. But right now it is obvious everywhere in Africa can be developed as long as there is a standard to be met. This is a world class development
