African Tigress:Welcome to Kingston,Jamaica this week in great joy & peace January of 2024❤❤❤I hope more new videos are coming up soon in January of 2024❤❤❤
African Tigress there is a St Thomas in Africa. It is an Island off the Southern coast of Nigeria. It is called Sao. Tome and it's sister island is Principe.
When you visit the continent and taste their AWFUL food, you’ll change your mind. There’s a reason most people only know a single African dish, Jollof Rice, from the second largest continent on earth - African food is a punishment.
And to have Jermaine let his girlfriend meet you, Tigress, is epic. The guy walk off his job to show you around downtown Kingston. Wow, 🇯🇲 have the best people. ❤❤
It's a healthy strong minded person who embraces their culture fully. Wears beautiful colorful clothes made by their native countries, displays the flags and proud of their language. Not bleaching their beauty away.
True. I see Ghanaian you tuber WadeMaya and his wife Trudy touring eastern Caribbean. It seems boaring. When they get to Jamaica they will get a different vibe.
Jamaica is indeed likkle but tallawah! For such a small island the Jamaican culture is unmatched and global. Jamaica is stunningly beautiful and the people are vibrant and full of vibes. Jamaicans are welcoming and warm like the weather. I pray that Jamaica can reach its economic potential.
As a Jamaican, I have to say this is exceptionally good content. Maybe you can help stop the poverty tourism in Kingston that RUclipsrs seem to be obsessed with. I could not understand why nobody wanted to cover this part of Downtown. It’s as if they feel they can't get clicks if they are not focused on the ghettos 100 percent of the time. Thanks for this. You just earned a sub.
@feonasmith9226: I don't know why they are ghettoizing Jamaica. We never considered poor communities as ghettos; they were just a place where low income people live...
@@keepitreal888-gnc agreed…I believe the country is being attacked because it is seen as paradise by some and a ‘cultural superpower’, by sites like Wikipedia. The comments under the worse offenders/predators suggest people are clicking to remind themselves that they are people out there worse off than them. Especially those who can’t afford to visit Jamaica. They call it ‘the real Jamaica’ even though statistically it’s less than 15 percent of the population. We need to push back and start down voting these videos. It’s not enough to just ‘ignore the negativity’. They are destroying our reputation.
This is my second comment, Jermaine you made me so proud.how you dream of being the one to made a change in your community, keep doing good young man 💯 respect 👍
What I really liked about this tour is that Jermaine took the time to be a tour guide and didn't even ask for a dollar. I hope the minister of tourism recognize or acknowledge him. Blessings african tigress.

African Tigress, I admire you for traveling to the different Caribbean countries and connecting with our African brothers and sisters in the diaspora, but it would give me much satisfying feeling if you could make the effort to visit our brothers and sisters in the Spanish and French-speaking countries too. We need to be careful not to exclude any of our people, as we need to walk with everybody when we step out of Babylon...
I’m glad downtown Kingston is being regenerated because it has so much potential. Can you imagine a bustling downtown with music, restaurants, clubs, shops, bars etc? It would be the place to BE.
Yes it would be so lit! I wish they had ferries to and from there to many locations including Port Royal, the airport and Lime Cay. What a missed opportunity.😓
Actually, there is a very nice restaurant on the top floor of the building she was at with a large deck and spectacular view of the harbour, it really comes alive at night. The ROC hotel across the road is 5 star, really beautiful on the inside, perfect for cocktails etc. A little further up the road has a lovely coffee shop also with an awesome view. That section of downtown is very high end. If Kingston is serious about tourism, it needs to educate the population about how it’s done and organize itself better.

Man, "Jamaica" has such a presence in the black world. I am filled with expectation because of the good things I have heard about the land and it's people.
Yes, there is something special about my country and the people. Our country is very small but it has made a MASSIVE impact on the world. I am not saying this in a conceited way. This is just a surprising fact about us. As he said our motto is that we are little but wi tallawah. Tallawah means big impact.

I just got the chance to watch the Jamaican episode of African Tigress. Jermaine, you have represented the best of us well. African Tigress, thank you for highlighting Jamaica so well. Big up to Kenya, a friend to Jamaica and a progressive force in Africa and the world!!
Hey African Tigress, I don't know if there's a word for this, maybe 'serendipity'... perhaps,... but I have followed your journey around the world on RUclips, and what do you know.... the cosmos brought you all the way to Jamaica. The next thing was also crazy.... there you were talking a selfie in front of one of my Buildings on Water Lane. Wow! This is the old city. We have been talking and talking about rebuilding this place for decades. A lot of property owners didn't think we would live to see the old city get the same treatment and investment we give to Montego Bay. Needless to say we have lost fortunes investing in those buildings. The street art initiative helps to bring confidence and people back downtown. The waterfront development potential for business is enormous. However it does take political will. It's a positive if late start however...
Wow, I a 🇯🇲, I almost changed the channel, so glad I didn’t, this was real good. That street with the murals turned out to be gold, I loved it. The walk to the water Font was just refreshing…. I LOVE Jermaine ❤ He is so kind humerus , ambitious , intelligent and sweet..J..you walk so far you wasn't thirsty ..God is so good...❤ KENYAN SKIN IS SO UNIQUE AND BEAUTIFUL..❤
Happy New Year! I cannot believe Jermaine didn’t mention ST ELIZABETH, 2nd largest parish in Jamaica and apart from Bauxite is known as the 'breadbasket' of Jamaica even known worldwide for this, due to producing the majority of the fruits & vegetables to Jamaica, producing a large quantity of ground provisions, root crops, (tomatoes, melons, cab- bage, scallion, yam, beans, and cassava) fruits, vegetables, tree crops, sugar, rum, coffee and ginger due to its rich soil, ideal climate, and the ability to produce large quantities of various crops. It's where my mother's side of the family are from (a few of whom are extremely hardworking farmers). They are some of the most hardest and industrious workers in Jamaica.
I thought coffee is mainly from Blue mountain which is in St Andrew, St Thomas, St Mary and Portland. Yes St Elizabeth is known to be a farm focus parish and is said to feed the country. I think St Thomas, St Mary, Portland is also known for that
There is the very beautiful treasure beach little ochi and bunch of grapes there. I believe the restaraunts in this part of jamaica has the most authentic delectable grandma styled food. Also the accompong maroons are there on the 6th they had the first walk through of accompong since the founding. It would've been an historic event to document as they are the oldest free africans in jamaica as thy fought and won the british army even though they brought meskito Indians to try and track them down. I really enjoyed this video. African Tigress, I admire the mature, professional, educational and respectful way in which you presented your content. I love those art work downtown... Kingston is a very historical place; it has a lot of history that is worthwhile studying. I wish you would visit the University of the West Indies and Hope Garden before you leave Jamaica. I would like the world to know that Jamaica also has a great intellectual community. I wish more Jamaicans would spend some time to study the history of the country. Anyway, continue enjoying Jamaica. Great video!
Here is my take on the colors of the flag Black represents the hardship we went through as a people coming out of slavery, green represents our lush vegetation and gold represents the beautiful sunshine we have all year round.
Black represents the hardship the majority of our citizens are still experiencing because some of the descendants of the enslaved have now become our oppressors. The gold is a representation of our continued hope that despite our struggles God's grace continues to shine on us.
@@lagoon30 you are incorrect. This previous interpretation of the black in our flag was changed as the Jamaican government felt it perpetuated the idea of black being associated with negativity. As such the black refers to the strength and resilience of the people in order to associate black with positivity. This was deliberately done.
From the top of my head, these are places to visit in Kingston if you are still close by :-Emancipation Park, Port Royal -not only for the fish there is a heritage site over there, National Heroes Park, Devon House you can get ice cream there. Bob Marley Museum, I am not sure of the cost to go in. You can also go to Trench Town to see where he was living as well.
Thanks for showing casing Jamaica as a single female U-tuber, you are doing a wonderful job. The best female U-tuber from Africa in Jamaica. You're showed a lot in a short time. Looking forward to see more. Love this video 💛💛💛

Here is my take on the colors of the flag Black represents the hardship we went through as a people coming out of slavery, green represents our lush vegetation and gold represents the beautiful sunshine we have all year round.
The black does not represent Hardship, it represent the creativity and strength to overcome hardship, please stop this nonsense
In other words the strength of the people
@@Den-gz4yo It's ok we can correct each other without the disparaging remarks.
You really should visit Dunn's River Falls.
That's intro is right where I live. The fact that u waited 20mins to get a bus is a fact when ur living in Portmore
We r all Africans🇯🇲
