The roadlife is worth it! I do nationwide fleet installs for big corporations. I was in Indianapolis and charleston earlier this month.. now im in LA. It does get hard being solo on the road though. Enjoyed the video. *take a trip to the virgin islands* when you get a chance! St Thomas and St croix

This isn't a great time to ask for increased pay and/or benefits. If achieved, probably layoffs and/or forced retirements will occur. We're in a recession even though the powers that be don't want to admit to it. In a recent survey, 78% of American respondents said they're living paycheck to paycheck. Companies continue cutting costs via layoffs and other measures. Delinquencies continue rising on credit cards, auto loans, and other debt. Securing financing continues to tighten. On and on and on.
Increased labor costs are usually passed on to the customer. Doing this during bad times especially with high inflation, triggers the public to spend less leading to lower volumes in service/product. If profits are used instead, the markets punish the company's stock and bond prices. No matter which route is taken it eventually leads to cutting labor in some way. The union should be pushing to secure a better contract during good times.
