OMG, I could feel the panic when I entered the door, and I was shocked to see the swimming pool, but you really handled it very calmly, I admire you. A good vacation requires good accommodation, and a good journey starts from arriving at the accommodation. I can't imagine how shocked I was when you saw the dilapidated swimming pool.😱
I think you did the best thing in the circumstances. It was very poorly managed by the owner/agent and they should have told you there was an issue with the pool works. Looking at the weather, I can’t imagine working on the pool was practical, because of the damage the rain could do to wet materials. Anyway, I hope you’re having a great time and you’ve not ended up Klink! I’ve a California now, unfortunately it’s in need of some warranty work on the canvas and the dealer’s backed up with work until mid October. I’m loving it so far.
@@dubventures the canvas is pulling out in the top left front corner. It’s not unknown from what I’ve researched. Hopefully, it’s just an adjustment and not a new canvas.
Tom, you were a lot calmer than I thought you would have been. I think the owner would have know about the pool wasn't done as he would have been the one paying for the work. You made the right decision stay and got money back. Good choice

Mate, that whole situation sounds like a mess. The owner didnt know what the condition of the property he owns was in. The agency didnt communicate with the owner about the pool being fixed. The contractors brought in to fix the pool, well, they have been skiving. This is crazy. By what you said, the owner seemed genuinely upset and angry about the situation with the agency and the pool. I think I would have done the same thing, stayed for half the price. You dont get the pool, but you guys have a place to relax and reset your batteries (mental batteries and camper batteries haha).
Yeah charge the camper batteries. Lol. Yeah it was crazy but least we sorted it in the end. We glad we got money back and we did get to relax and chill just at the back of the house lol
