[SW] 6045 kHz - VOA French, Pinheira - surprise find next to 6050 Tibet, Jun 28 2024

Voice of America uses various SW bands and various transmitter sites to reach its audiences where it really matters to reach them via shortwave. This African French broadcast was found on 6045 kHz at 20:12 UTC June 28th, 2024, while frequencies in 31, 25 & 16m bands were also used.
I was a bit surprised that VOA has landed on 6045, to clash with Xizang RTV Chinese channel on 6050 kHz. Incidentally, both signals' beams extend well into Europe, with azimuths of 20deg from Sao Tome, and 290deg from Lhasa. Probably not a grand problem in both stations' respective target areas, but still, one could only look at vast, empty areas nearby as 49m band became sort of underutilised (well, most if not all bands seem underutilized these days, except in China) and shrug their hands down seeing 2 stations colliding like this 🤷‍♂️
At least Xizang had shrunk their bandwidth to 5kHz a couple months ago (probably late in 2023), so VOA remains clear on 6045 kHz LSB.
Historically, I recall 6050 have Xizang all alone in the 20:00 UTC hour in summer seasons (and blocked by Voice of Turkey in English until 20:25 UTC, and perhaps other stations later, in winter seasons), so this is a bit of a head scratcher. But on SW, nothing can be taken for granted...
