Dzięki 😁 radio kupiłem na Ali, bodaj najtańsze z takich "normalnych" TEFów, tzn. z ekranem LED i firmware od PE5PVB (można go zresztą zaktualizować). Niestety na antenie teleskopowej ten model zbiera od groma zakłóceń od tego ekranu, do tego stopnia że nawet stacje lokalne są zakłócone 😩 ale jak zamienię ją na jakąkolwiek antenę zewnętrzną (nawet pętlę), z balunem co najmniej 1:1, to zdecydowana większość tych zakłóceń znika. Ta Yagi którą niedawno powiesiłem jest jakieś 10m od domu, i jedynie na 105,0 coś burczy. Także gdybym kupował drugiego TEFa, to bym raczej celował w ten mniejszy przenośny model (z przyciskami w trzech kolorach, bo jest jeszcze taki z trzema żółtymi, ale widziałem jego recenzję, na której ekran nawet nie był przymocowany do obudowy i się ruszał xD), albo w Qodosena DX-286 na Amazonie. Chyba że chcesz postawić serwer (GitHub NoobishSVK), to wtedy Qodosen odpada :)

@@tomhelo4523 hey there 🙋‍♂️ and thank you for your kind words 😊 I was using an Airspy HF+ Discovery SDR and a vertically-hung, corner-fed loop antenna, about 15x4.5m rectangle... or so it was supposed to be because the bottom part of the antenna was rolled-up a bit 😂 I raised the top part since & it's better, but I can't tell I'm feeling much of a difference LOL. 73 🙂

@@ArnieDXer Hi Arnie, thank you for your feedback! I did'nt chatch SAQ (try it since 2 years). I have the same SDR so the antenna make the difference. Can't get it with Mini-Whip nor MLA 30+. So next time 😅with another antenna.... vy 73

For Saudi Al-Quran try 882 KHz.

@@arb8837 I usually get both 1260 & 882 (and 1098 from same site) with ease. Also other Saudi transmitters, depending on conditions & antenna. Recently I've been hearing 1449 out of Jeddah somehow. 585 is troublesome with a strong Iranian station from a similar direction, but I did log Riyadh a few times there too. But obviously MW is not the same as former SW transmissions of both Radio Riyadh and Holy Quran; some of them were aimed at Europe & offered strong signals, for example 15380 kHz mornings & afternoons; too bad they all vanished 😥

Yeah noticed that too. Did it disappear completely or is it still sometimes on air irregularly? Likewise any of their international services, virtually all gone :(

@@ArnieDXer it may be a part of some sort of war campaign,, like a way to demotivate certain ethnic groups that are involved in war (or Holy war)

@@ArnieDXer I just tuned in myself. if this station is jammed, then there may be a work around. i donthear much jamming noise wher im from but there is much static. maybe there needs to be a relay station a thousand miles away from the original staion to avoid jammer signals? all ive noticed is it seems that either the jamming signal does not travel as far as the radio signal so it can be heard in other countries.

Dzięki za info, zwłaszcza że nic za bardzo o Lecie z Radiem na antenie Jedynki nie słyszałem, a jak kilka dni temu sprawdzałem ramówkę to zarówno na jutro jak i na kolejne dni nadal mieli wpisane Cztery Pory Roku :v niestety u mnie laptop padł i nie wiem czy będę w stanie jakkolwiek nagrać start LzR w tym roku 😥 a nie chcę inaczej niż przez SDRa 😆

Hi, thank you for a question 😀 I don't own any other TEF6686 tuner so I can't speak of their quality. But from my experience, TEF6686 is an excellent chip, definitely phenomenal on FM, and very good for the AM bands too. Any difference between the models I would explain with a choice of screen, how noisy it is and how well it is shielded perhaps. And here's a thing - I'm afraid my "desktop" TEF's screen is noisy. I can note it on FM, and it gets even worse on every other LW & MW frequency. And definitely the worst if I use just the supplied telescopic antenna. Not so bad with an external loop antenna, and definitely better on SW though. And most of not all of that noise goes away when the screen shuts off (which you have to enable in the menu). I've also got an opinion of another user of that "desktop" model, and he said he had "heaps of noise" on his Beverage antenna, when trying to DX MW. Well... I have other radios to DX MW 😜 BUT... alternatively, if you still want a TRF6686 radio and don't need a colourful display, do get yourself a Qodosen DX-286 on Amazon 🔥

Really strange if you haven't heard 9870 😮 maybe there's something in their antenna pattern? Basically all these signals have to beam due South or close to it. You're roughly SE of Ascension Island, and if it was perpendicular to the direction of the antenna used on 9870, you would be in the null of that antenna. But I'm not sure 🤷‍♂️

@@ArnieDXer I thought so too, I usually pick up all the Ascension Island signals, some are beamed south and some are beamed northwest, towards West Africa, but I usually pick up those ones. Perhaps I was in the null. I seem to remember that the same thing happened last year with this test.

I did apply a small amount of NR in Hi-Fi preset, but was in a bit of a hurry so I didn't tweak it. However, before that, I had BC DX profile set and it sounded kinda muffled on speech. But then, the speech (live from Allianz Arena 😛) wasn't as hi-fi as the music LoL. I think I'll try to grab some more of 1152 AM this evening if they continue transmitting full audio like this, especially as I switched from the FM beam to the HF loop :)

I think any receiver, even with a telescoping whip as an antenna, can do the trick, as long as you put it (the antenna, I mean) as far from noise sources as possible. Preferably outdoors, although you should really check your indoor reception conditions first. E07 is usually much stronger than shown in this video pretty much anywhere in Europe, so you may be lucky :)
