Damn I just bought the mando without the jetpack not realizing theres a jetpacked version.
Same I bought this thinking it was the other version then realized it when I got home
Tbh I’m glad they re-released the same figure but with the plastic cape cuz I’ve had a few times where the cloth cape kept falling out of place when posing and it was annoying to tuck it back under the armor. But i got 2 of each version and I love them both!
Sadly, it's getting harder to find the Glavis version at retail price; they both might be on shelves in a couple of places, but those of us who missed the Glavis version might be stuck with the new one. Maybe it'll peg warm and I can get it cheap...
I’m very lucky because I was sad I’ll never get this and have to get the objectively worse one but I was walking in target and I saw the glavis ringworld one in the marvel section and picked it up great figure

I like how in advertently the 3rd Mando is positioned off to the side scratching his head going "yeah, WTF, Hasbro"
The "Mines of Mandalore" version is simply the accountants attempting to amortize the tooling costs as quickly as possible. Yeah, it's stupid. They should have just produced more of the Glavis Ringworld version: it will still sell. I really wonder sometimes when product sells out at individual stores if Hasbro thinks they've actually met demand, instead of realizing there are unsatisfied collectors--all of which are lost sales.
That’s the tricky part, Hasbro fulfills the order that the retailer orders. To them that is success. The retailers need to order more somethings. Other times they order too much haha
when I first saw the pictures for the Mines of Mandalore and saw that the plastic cape returned, I knew this figure is quite a scam move typical from Hasbro at times
Hey MCU Collector. I collect Black Series among other things and I hate the single jointed knees and elbows.
I agree with you about the knee joints sometimes being too low. The Return of the Jedi Deluxe Boba Fett has the same problem.
For articulation they should ask Jada Toys for a few tips. For all their action figure limes.
The knees on that Delux Boba killed the fun factor on that figure for me
Honestly options are always good to me. Cloth goods ppl got theirs and those who perfer plastic also good. Than theres those like me. I get a mid flight (cloth) and a standing (plastic) fig. The only real gripe I have is I would have really liked it to include the spear. That said though there would have been ppl complaining that it should have been just with BoBF and its just Hasbro grifting customers forcing them to buy two figures to blah blah blah.

I really don’t like cloth goods. The Glavis version only came with a cloth cape so the jet pack could fit under it.
I’m very pleased with the mines of mandalore version. The cloth goods cape just looks out of place when displayed with the rest of the other Mandalorians

So glad I got a Glavis Ringworld version on eBay for 25 a few weeks ago.
Just picked this figure up today, didn’t look close enough to see it had the plastic cape, I was just excited to see Mando on the shelf! Vader was also on the shelf, as well as a couple of death watch mando’s.
Crazy stuff. softgoods for the win always Hasbro. The new Acolyte figures have soft good robes, this is certainly a headscratcher. Luckily, I am a TVC collector and they are releasing this with soft goods.

I don’t actually hate the mines of mandalore version I meant I understand the frustration of the plastic cape, I did plan of getting the mines of mandalore version because the glavis ringworld version was sold out. I love both figures
2:30 The artwork is slightly different. Some differences I see are the background image, right side of the helmet, cloth folds on the right arm, right gauntlet design, right hand, Darksaber is held lower, and right side of the belt.
I believe I have every black series Mando…. This is the first one I’m passing on. Lol it’s ridiculous that they made this one the way they did. I’ve stepped back my black series collecting as of late. It’s been really disappointing as of late. Great video bro.

Your rant is spot on. But also, the fact that Hasbro is taking away points of articulation and some Black Series collectors convinced themselves it's a good thing is WILD. Hasbro is charging us more for less. How those people don't realize that is crazy.

from my personal experience, both were available on Amazon, mines of Mandalore was $25 aud, ring world is $49..... plus, you can validate owning both by having cloth cape fig wearing jet pack and plastic cape not wearing the jet pack.... he doesn't even come with a cape so, there ya go, sorted, reason found
Normally I definitely would go for the Book of Boba Fett version as it has the soft goods cape and most importantly the jetpack, but aside from the possibility that I may not find it, I'll go with the season 3 version because of the plastic cape as the soft goods are tricky for me to use, do I wish it was semi-maneuverable as the soft goods one? Yeah, I would, but i guess I would have an easier time switching the plastic cape and the jetpack easily, that is if the season 3 version had the jetpack but it doesn't.
Not to mention I heard some people say they're ok with the plastic cape, to that extent I say that's good, we can agree to disagree and each one has their own liking for this Mando figure, just as long as it's Mando that's good enough, well except when it lacks the jetpack but I can forgive that of a sorts haha.
The mines of mandalore seems to use the older body mold compared to the glavis ringworld, correct me if I'm wrong 😂

They were reversed, the one with the jet pack was supposed to be the one of mines of mandalore, with the torn cape, also with a little flaslight on the helment right side. The flashlight was never added and the two got mixted up on lableing. Once they were printed the mistake was done!!!
I think Vader is supposed to be in this wave and that’s it. It’s called A List figures. They just wanted to rerelease characters like Vader and mando so they can be on the shelves.
i think that's the dark saber that came with Moff Gideon which is different from the Dark Saber that came with the Glavis Ringworld

I just got hoodwinked but wasn't sure until I came here... but whatever. I made a soft goods cape for the other one, so I'm not too mad.
The jetpack on the older figure (where the helmet comes off) is not compatable with this one. I had to modify it significantly, which stinks... but it is what it is.
The plastic cape returned because it didn't come with the jetpack. Real simple to figure out. 🤷🏾♂️

Still, the point of this vid is highlighting how outrageous it is these 2 new Mandos being released side by side within a couple of months. For th same price why would anyone get the new one off the shelf, which comes with less accessories and shitty return plastic cape

The double joints of a figure are a pathway to many articulations some consider to look... unnatural.

Hasbros soft goods are such poor quality and collectors keep asking for it. Say what you want about the rubber cape, at least it has sculpted detail and paint and makes the figure look less cheap. Just my opinion
Because cloth capes suck they completely cheapens the look of the figures I don't know why any one would want cheap cloth capes same with batman I would definitely choose the plastic cape I pass over any cloth capes
