- Thanksgiving week is here and I know how stressed that makes us! Today I encourage you to put your earbuds in and enjoy some relaxing music while we clean the kitchen together. This is a guided kitchen rescue from the patreon group. Every week, they get a guided cleaning video to help get things done in a few minutes every day. This week is one of our craziest weeks of the year! I thought we all needed a relaxing kitchen reset to give us a fresh place to get started cooking and/or hosting Thanksgiving. My desire is that you will put your earbuds in listen to this relaxing music and do whatever you need to work on in the kitchen for the next 20 minutes.
I also wanted to apologize for my lack of focus over the last two months. Many of you already know but my husband has been out of work since Feb and we are starting a new business. This is taking all of our savings but Lord willing, things will start closing very soon. It is normal for the first year to be a deficit and we expected this struggle. My heart is to help where I can and I always wanted to design digital planners so....I am launching my Etsy shop on Black Friday. Creating digital planners, notebooks, and recipe books seemed like the perfect fit for me since I truly realized this year how much "stuff" I used on my planner which made my house always look a tad messy. Digital planning lets me get completely creative with colorful pens and stickers without the clutter of the actual supplies. Plus, I can take my planner with me so much easier to stay on task. The shop name (at least for now) is Planning with Honey since Today with Terri K was too long.
Why Honey? Because my g-babies call me Honey. However, I am not 100% sold on this as my shop name...I'd love some ideas because all of mine were already taken. My next project is going to be an all-in-one planner that is specific for FlyBabies so it works for all of the things we do every week. What kinds of things would you like to see? Menu planners? Kid planners?
With all of that going on, my house has suffered! I feel like I need a fresh start. Would you like to try another program for December or focus on something else? You guys have become my closest friends and I truly want to do this with you. What's next for us?

I'm probably in a different phase to most this Christmas season - expecting a baby! We have little kids (2 & 4yo), and with my limited energy I've been wanting to slow down and enjoy the time with them and share the true meaning of Christmas with them. I'd love to hear some Christmas scripture and/or messages that you have on your heart, along with the cleaning and preparation that you do here on the channel. ❤
Thanks Terri, for more encouragement and motivation, and for your words of prayer for us. As you were talking about cleaning as you go, it reminded me of a rule that my dad always used - every time you leave a room, take something with you (dirty dishes, stray items, rubbish). It really helps to practice this; even now I notice stray towels or clothes, empty cups, etc, as I go, and the mess never gets quite so bad.
My mom said the same thing so it’s hard on me sometimes when my youngest walks right past things I sit for her to take upstairs…as in she steps over her clothes instead of carrying them up???
I have never seen content like this and I absolutely love it ! You got me on my feet and lifted up my spirits 😀

Hi Terri -I have to admit that I’m laying down and resting while watching this video. But I’ll watch it again when I get up to get some motivation. This morning I went to physical therapy and stop by grocery curbside pick up to pick up my order. My granddaughter was here when I drove up to help me bring things in and get my trash out to the street. She’s my only grandchild and she’s so loving and kind. She just graduated from college. Anyway I’m tired from my morning so I’m gonna rest a minute and then get up and get with it. My youngest daughter and her husband will be here tomorrow. We will all go to my oldest daughter’s house for Thanksgiving. I don’t have to do much cooking but I do need to get things dusted in the guest room and things a little bit tidy. I love watching your videos and can’t wait for them every week. Love in Christ

@@TodaywithTerriK I sure did. It was super peaceful this year. Small and quiet. My oldest flew back home to see his dad and family back in Washington. I missed him terribly.
My mother in law came over and that was the extent of our guest list.
I’m so proud of myself because this was the first year I washed up all the dishes after our Thanksgiving meal instead of leaving them overnight. 🎉

Don't rinse, waste of water, scrape and put in the machine. Modern detergent NEEDS the dirt to stay on to begin to work.
Our machine gets the dirt inside the glasses if I don’t rinse. 😕
