This song is the most important song of my entire life. When I was about 20-21, a friend and I had made it a goal to DJ in a club. We went to a few nights and lucky enough we were booked for a few gigs on Thursdays as openers. Those sets were great fun. One night we got swapped out to do the main slots for the evening. It was a pretty normal thursday and I was so stoked. I started playing some french house classics and maybe 20 minutes into my set I look up and the entire floor is absolutely packed. I was shocked but soo excited. Tons of people were dancing, so in the moment I knew what I needed to do - throw this track on!! I can still remember clear as day how the floor lit up on the main drop, about 20-30 people moved right up by the booth, signing the lyrics to this track, when the drop came, it just went off! I DJ'd before and after (at bigger gigs even) and this moment still has not been topped. To this day, there are few memories in my life that are as important as this one. Every time I listen to this track, I can close my eyes and see that very crowd dancing. If I ever feel down, sad or whatever, I just listen to this track and think of the best night of my life. The new stuff has no soul basically. It's so "manufactured", if that makes sense. All made to satisfy the frat kids, who don't really have a taste in music, they just go from one thing to the other.
Even if the bassline, the hihats and the overall pumping feel sounds like Daft Punk, this was very unique when it came out. The dreamy pads, the buildups, the arrangement, the kick, the distorted and reverbed lead synth, the falsetto reverbed vocals and the chords were just so feel good. The overall production was also sonically sounding better than anything else in 2004.
Well yeah it was part of the 2000’s house music movement but it was released in the middle of the 2000’s to late something like 05-06-Or07 Mate this track is definitely not from the early 2000’ as the late 90’s and early 2000’s was Trance galore Season for the Ravers at that time not really House Music even though Progressive House Music like this Track here were pretty big in the 2000’s too

That is how I remember the song from back when it first started playing on Midnight broadcasts from Club Essential (European Hit Radio on Friday/Saturday nights) I had a pretty seasoned and heavy boombox back then, which I usually kept on at nights to listen to music. Back then I didn't know either of the artists or the song titles, but I used be in love with Axwell's "Feel The Vibe", Eric Prydz's "Call On Me"/"Pjanoo" and Southbridge's "Put 'Em High". Bit of a nostalgia trip.

I LIKE MORE ANGELLO, HE IS REBEL, and his label is to me the best of all three(REFUNE and AXTONE) his style is unique, but the guy have like the best problems with the law and people, if think they try to convince angello to come back but he refuse nicely this time, i think he dont wanna have more dramas and keep his beloved friends at the same time, nice move Angello ;)
To put it lightly, I don't think SHM is coming back. At least not for the next few years. You heard it by themselves - a lot of problems in their friendship surfaced. It takes years for people like these to fix that kind of problem, if not never. Still, all of them have unique styles.
I remember the first time I heard this track. I was in a bar in London, around 2005. My jaw dropped to the floor... I think I actively stopped chatting with whoever I was chatting with so I could listen to it. It was something that blew my mind. One of those moments a tune completely hijacked my brain.
This anthem is the reason why I love House and Electronic music. It was back in 2007 or 2006 in my fathers car, and he listened all the time a radio station that brought every friday the Roger Sanchez radio show, and this music started to play and I felt the vibe so hard that I felt the electronic click in my life that I needed. And the rest is history... Thank you Axwell.
I can’t believe this is nearly 20 years old already. Seems not that long ago I used to dance to this on my nights out. They were good times. Love this tune so much. Was a banger then and still is now. And I do much prefer this original version than the one that came out a few years after with the extra (female) lyrics added.
