Wedding, funeral... every fucking day!!!!. The best Song, Hymn or whatever you want to call it. This Masterpiece is Hell and Heaven an has the ability to bring back Memories from the very deep!!!
Couldn’t agree more. Even thought I’m not into house the very first time I hear this song I knew it was something else. It brings absolute joy and positive energy
Fuck I remember a axwell interview with mtv some years ago where axwell talks about his love for house music. He says something like electronic music can go in all directions (dubstep, jungle, trap etc) but in the end, "you gotta come back to mama baby, come back to house." Timeless tune my SHM and what got me into all the madness. Thank you and much love!!!

@@psyclops973 stfu lmao this ain't electro house. Listen to Mord Fustang, Bentley Dean, Foxhunt that's electro house. This is swedish progressive house.
I remember these days like yesterday. Happy to be in my later 20’s. Yes I was young, but I got to experience a small portion of the rave days back when being PLUR was still a big deal.
I wrote my friend, who sent me the link to this song, and asked me what I thought about it. I reread what I wrote and really liked what I had to say. So I thought I would share with the world here. "And in response to your question about the song, Leave The World Behind... I freaking love it. As much as I could love a deep house song. As there's only so much there to love. Each element, is very well produced. The effects, are like nuances. I have to listen very carefully to pick apart the actual changes in the sounds. The effects. Are so svelte, and so graceful. Which is often not the case in house. They take house roots, and bring it into the modern world with high quality production. It doesn't have to be a complex song full of dynamic sounds to be enjoyed. And they do that, extremely well. Reminiscent of Eric Prydz. Where the song itself is, less complex than others. But there is a strong focus to detail. Not just the sounds played. But how well each sound is played. And the in betweens man. So important. Like, the time in between each sound. Where the effect on the sound is riding out, and how each sound transitions into the next..... Its an endless rabbit hole. Even in a simple house song. There can be an endless rabbit hole to explore and experience."

Quite simply one of if not the greatest house track to exist. I love the tension that just builds and builds then the melodic drop of the gods is unleashed!!
Ahh! This song always reminds me of the time they did their DJ set at EDC 2010; this house tune solidifies the time progressive house was starting to grow into that EDM signature sound
This song should be played at every festival/club. To me it's the perfect track. The intro, the vocals, the chords, the buildup, bassline, and THAT INSANE DROP. Yes yes yes!!!

also try to check out earlier tracks of axwell that have been released before leave the world behind because they also influenced house music as it is today in a really big way....many people don't realise that or try to deny it but it's really impressive how even the oldest tracks of axwell if they were reproduced with a modern kind of sound could easily be beatport number 1 hits today when everything we hear nowadays is big time kickdrums and all that shit...im not hating on that stuff because i like it myself but it's not as timeless as these melodic groovy things that a mastermind like axwell prduces....like holy hsit this guy takes YEARS to finish track whereas modern day producers take hours to produce a new track and they dont give a shit about fancy details
a track that really blew my mind last year is tokyo by night (axwell edit) ... its fucking ridiculous how axwell creates such an atmosphere with such an easy melody....the details in that track are sooooooooooooooooooooooo deep that even if you listen to that track a billion times you still immediatly sink into a world of dreams even if you try not to xD
i would even go as far as to say that this edit of axwell is the new "leave the world behind" because it didn't necessarily invent something new but it definetly took me to a new level of listening to music where as soon as i listened to this track no other track in the world ever again gave me this feeling again
