- The Mega Mushroom custom item is coming to CTGP-7! This item will behave in the same way as it did in Mario Kart Wii, your size and speed will increase and you will be able to squish other players!
A beta of the Mega Mushroom will be available to contributors (people who have submitted their content to the mod), custom track developers and nitro boosters!

@@---Mattia--- I was thinking maybe you can nerf the timing window so its only slightly safer than using Mushrooms to escape Blue Shells but I dunno if that's possible and that would nerf its ability as a general area of effect item.

Didn't expect to see an active community for an old game but this mod pack is really evolving the game
Because Mario kart 7 was the best selling 3ds game (granted it was a pack in title) And it always had the potential to be awesome
it's still really active online and whatnot in the base game, this is just a fire mod overall tho

This is insane! The fact you managed to pull this of is nuts! Nice detail making the minimap icons bigger too, maybe it would be fun that if you get the mega mushroom your icon stays the same size but the minimap zooms out? Little addition :)
MKW is one of my favorites and having the mega mushroom be in this game is awsome. Good work from the CTGP7 team and can't wait to see what else this mod brings

This is awesome. I really wanna see the thunder cloud and POW block, that’d make races a lot more exciting
I'm not sure he will be able to mod those items into the game, since he would have to port their code over from Wii, and they would be convoluted to program into CTGP-7.
Now for the items themselves. The POW Block isn't the worst thing ever, but you have to time when to shake the controller to avoid losing speed, which is annoying considering it goes off very frequently, and everyone loses their items anyway. It's also somewhat useless not just because players can shake the controller to avoid losing speed, but also because this item can be avoided if you are in the air. With all the tricks, halfpipes, and mid-air transitions in Wii, there is a good chance you won't even be affected. Since 7 has gliders, the same can be said here. As for the Thunder Cloud, it's just the worst item ever. Yeah, you go fast when you have it, but then you'll shrink if you don't pass the cloud to someone else. To make matters worse, you can get it somewhere within the span of 3rd-8th place, which is a problem because if you are in 6th, 7th, or 8th place, you already aren't doing well, and the cloud will just add to the pain. I prefer these items never come back, but if Nintendo did want to reinclude them, I would definitely want a rework.

@@SuperEpicness Exactly what I had in mind. The thunder cloud could be made to where it doesn’t automatically activate, but you can still see it in their inventory on the bottom screen

Maybe it's the ability to send your own custom tracks and missions between friends as like gifts in Mario maker for 3ds friend Course sender.
I hope the POW Block isn't next. That thing is insufferable in Wii, and I'm glad it hasn't returned. Seeing the POW Block in CTGP-7 will scar me for life.

Hey I have a suggestion (that I wished they did in MK8DX)
What if you added the super feather, in races and battle, but ofcourse jumping over walls wouldn't really go well in races, so it would let you jump over red shells and pass them to the next person! I think any item that allows you to pass red shells to the next person is just a cool idea!

Saw this in a Nathaniel bandy video but could you make a black shell?
It’s a green shell that bounces a few times and explodes like a bomb when it hits players or after 10 or so bounces
To make this fair with other bomb bomb
Maybey make the blast radius of the black shell a bit smaller

@@PabloMK7 I wonder how you managed to mod the Fake Item Box and Mega Mushroom into CTGP-7. I doubt you will do the same for the POW Block and Thunder Cloud, since both items are hated among the community.
@@greninjamariokartpokemonfan I personally really like the POW and thundercloud. Although the cloud would be better if there was a low percentage chance for it to make you big instead, or maybe have a grey cloud to shrink you and a purple cloud to make you bigger (as two separate items). To be honest though, I’m just grateful for what we have. If we end up getting more then obviously that’d be super cool, but if not then I’m already really happy to have got these two.

There was already a FIB in CTGP7 (not in mk7 original) and it didnt replace anything so i suppose the mega also doesnt

desafortunadamente el desarrollador del mod y varios otros han confirmado que es imposible añadirlos al juego. estos items tambien seran los unicos nuevos ya que tambien reemplazan 2 items de prueba que quedaron en el juego por alguna razon.
