- On today’s episode, in the spirit of their pre-Christmas preparations, the Crouchy, Chris and Sids take a minute to talk about all things pre season preparations.
Crouchy and Sids bring Chris up to speed on what life is like for a young player coming up the ranks with those first few pre season camps and the type of atmosphere, activities and discipline you learn to expect during your early career.
Never ones to shy away from a bit of hard work, the lads talk of the pleasure they would get out of being the senior heroes tea b*tches and shoe shiners knowing full well one day they would graduate to have their own.
From struggling to get back into that peak season form and the potential fat shaming you could bring upon yourself, the pre season camps are no joke (although we had a laugh revisiting them)
We also hear from some of our listeners who have tried to bring the now infamous Eggy Boff game to a new level with potentially disastrous consequences!

A bit of a funny story regarding Fulham coming to Costa Rica, Fulham played 2 of the 3 biggest teams, Saprissa and Alajuelense, didn’t played the other one Herediano because they said it was too expensive, instead they played the oldest team we have Cartaginés, historic team but never wins, because of the money they expended, a couple of years later they almost go bankrupt and they have almost lost their stadium a couple of times. 😂

Great Crouchfest, I saw it live on the Paddy Website - fantastic! I guess a star is acceptable on top of the Xmas tree but surely it should be a fairy.

It was released for all of about 5 minutes then got taken down for some reason. I think the whole stream is still on the paddy power channel though

I think you miss the point of him being on the pod, he's acting as the bridge for those outside of football without the perspective Pete/Sid have

This channel is starting to feel like a bit of a scam. The level of adverts for Brewdog and PaddyPower is embarrassing. Have some morals lads jesus
calm down mate, thats the world we live in these days, commercial and money always plays a factor, im sure u can handle a couple of sponsors
@@ryanmcdonnell665 "that's the world we live in" is a shite argument. Also, there's plenty of podcasts/youtubers who aren't heavily sponsored by a betting firm and pub chain. And anyway, it's one thing reading an advert and another having a 10min segment with the sponsor. These lads are minted yet choose to make even more money by advertising harmful products to its consumers
They've gone in with sponsors and out with statman dave

@@ryanmcdonnell665 I've stopped watching, but get the podcast advertised at me constantly. Personally I'd like everyone who thinks the advertising is unacceptable to post their opinion and maybe they'd do something about it. Instead I've now got Crouch and his Mrs on my TV screen advertising PaddyPower too
This podcast has fell off soo much, 3 to 4 minutes of adverts at the start and middle of each pod, getting rid of hosts with no explanation, not mentioning the Wayne Linekar fiasco at crouch fest. It’s just a censored advertising campaign now
