If I were able to give any advice to someone that ask me about taking a Filipina back to the states, I would hands down say HELL NO, don't do it. The Filipina will change in America because America will change her. She will meet new "friends" good and bad, she will want to work(rat race, tired all the time, no time for you, now it's her "career"), she will want to do her own banking(getting credit behind your back, not telling you what she is doing with her money, wanting YOU to buy big ticket items), she will go to stupid Filipino parties(drinking, gossip, them asking for loans), men will hit on her(at wall mart, at her work, bus stops), and she will want to send all her money to the Philippines(mine did and then some). I also know of 6 other Fil/Am marriages where the young Filipina left, 2 had kids by the guy and still they left their older husbands. These Filipinas are given advice, they network, they are looking for a step up, they are looking for younger guys, they listen to other younger American women on what to do, how to do it. Keep the Filipina in the Philippines and she will not change so much because she is not around other influences and options to sway her.
If they're doing that in the USA then they're probably already cheating on you in the Philippines. They'll say they dont have options in the Philippines and no guy wants them. But talk to her Filipino ex bfs and you'll get the true story.
This same thing happened to me in New Zealand. My much younger filipina wife whom i sponsored into N.Z. left me after 8 years of marriage. She went to live with her younger filipino boyfriend.
Smart foreigners don’t make that kind of mistake . In the Philippines we foreigners are in charge but when we bring them home ? 😂 it’s a reverse situation , they are the one in charge . And l guess 95% it’s a divorce .
Totally agree. I’ve said this many times, guys need to be reasonable. A 40 year age gap isn’t going to work out the way you want it to. Maybe in the province but she’s not attracted to you. Why would you want that long term? If you bring a 20 year old to America as a 60 year old, you are straight up a fool. Half your age plus 7 can work.
They’re only in charge if you let them. Make it clear up front. Any shenanigans and she goes back home. Must have a prenuptial agreement in place. Mandatory
@@LordTaylor007 l Hurd the prenuptial work only on some states , not all . States that don't work would be except to the judges to decide who takes what .

My late husband we have a 14 gap years when we married and we are just fine , he is a chef manager in sweden and he loves to cook i let him those things that he likes , since i was working at that time here in philippines , if i can't go home i will call him to where i am because my work in our government is really workload , 8 years we never had issues he is more happy until he passed away here in the philippines 😊
I was once married to a swedish foreigner we have been married for 8 years but i never had the chance to see his country until he had his permanent resident here in the Philippines and he died here in the Philippines , i gave all what he wanted , but he never give me the chance to see his country
So let me get this straight. He is SURELY old enough to know better. He knows a girl for 2 or 3 weeks online. Agrees to marry him. Ummmmmm BRINGS her here to the states and is shocked he was taken for a ride??? How did he live this long????? REGARDLESS of the country NOTHING in this makes ANY sense at all.
I think he talked to her for 6months before going over to the Philippines. I’ll be seeing him next week. I’ll double check. Regardless I’ve known Paul now for almost 8 months and we’ve travel to the Philippines together twice. He’s a genuine good person.
I'm 63 and my future Filipino wife is 49 and we are both very secure in our relationship. I've spent months in the Philippines with her and got to know her family and friends as well as her 2 adult children. If you're 70 and trying to hook up with a 20 year old you deserve whatever heartbreak comes your way. If the profile of the girl your talking to is all about her sexiness and none of her family then you should run as fast as you can in the opposite direction. A good Filipino woman is not hard to find but it starts with you taking a good look in the mirror before starting your journey.
Good job buddy, very smart. You can get a great wife in the Philippines if you’re reasonable. I agree the 70 year old trying to take advantage of the 20 year old is less than honorable and when he gets wrecked, he deserves it.
The 70 yr old just has to vet better. Age means nothing. A 49yo filipina can destroy a man's life /cheat just as easily as a 20yo. These men are blinded because they overlook the red flags.
She had a plan to get her green card and he was just used as her sponsor. She knew that this was her only option for a better life. Had she stuck it out with him for 10 years she would get his social security as a widow when he dies and probably be left with his property and assets. He should’ve just stayed in Philippines with his gf and supported his gf family for less money
Thank you for covering this topic!! As soon as they become Americanized and know that they can divorce and end up with half, they change. I've heard Foreigners from Asia/SE Asia and have worked with Women from the Philippines with Elderly husbands. They say that it takes about a year or two.

A relationship with a large age gap is generally a bad idea, even if the guy stays in the Philippines with his young hot Filipina the majority will have a young Pinoy dude after the novelty of having a better life wears off, it'll be much easier for her to hide multiple "affairs" from her foreign husband while in her home country, BUT she probably won't seek divorce as she's dependent on his money in the Philippines. So really, the question that needs asking to the older foreign dude is, do you prefer to get divorced in the US or put up with "sloppy seconds" in the Philippines?Of course, there ARE exceptions to this "rule" but they are literally that....the EXCETIONS!!!!
Both types of communication are very important, 1st is to understand exactly what your partner means. The second type of communication is being in contact every day.
All that glitters is not gold… a very hard lesson for the Filipina when leaving, they overlook that they had left someone who already had some understanding and some general admiration and connection to the Philippines. Grass may appear greener but no guarantee the new guy would have any interest or let alone, willing to take her back to the Philippines for simple visit. The gamble is huge and when they lose, they basically end up like any middle aged western women trying to figure out where all the good decent men have gone…
Ropine, last time I talk to her, 6months after we broke up , she was freezing her a.. off in Germany. And she was not too happy with the guy…I told her, to stay warm and good luck…I often wonder if she’s happy, and speaking German now…all kidding aside…she was good to me when we were together…

My friend was used to get her over to the U.S. 2nd try also ended in disaster. 3rd try ended in a marriage. Ive made all the same mistakes as you and more. But Ive learned from my mistakes. My question to you now is.. Why are you even contemplating another marriage? At your age?
Sam, I read your comment about ( and I’m paraphrasing ) if you’re 18 you can make whatever choice you want. I understand the argument, but I would also say if you’re 70 with an 18 yo that you are taking advantage of someone who is desperate. So when you say the 18 yo benefits..well ok they’re able to survive outside of poverty that doesn’t make it honorable. I don’t want to judge, just something to think about
