I have yet to see a wood/hybrid from any brand outperform my Krank $175 5w and 7w. (for single digit/mid handicapper average golfers). I can hold a green from 220yds with the 23* 7w like an 8i. I'd love to see you review that companies club. They've been in the long drive game since the beginning and have an entire line up for the average Joe. And it hits out of the rough better than any hybrid I've ever tried including my stealth hybrid.
@@yongminkim6544 Yeah.. The club is insane. It spins a lot and stays in the air. It's so easy to hit. It carries 20-30yds over my 22* stealth hybrid with ease... So it will stay in the bag forever. Haha
Never been a hybrid guy....just bought Ping 425 3 Hybrid...amazed how well I am hitting...wants to go straight down the middle.... used to replace 3 iron P770....thinking a now buying a 2 Hybrid now to replace fairway wood. Accuracy much better with more or less same distance
I have callaway irons, driver, fairway woods, just picked up the stealth 2 rescue 5 hybrid, have Costco 52/56/60, Costco putter. I honestly don’t care about which brand it just depends on how I hit with the club. I tried a ping 5 hybrid don’t remember the model but the stealth 2 worked better for me.
Funny you should say that, I’m considering replacing my hybrid for a Titleist Utility 1 iron. I looked at my shot data and discovered I can hit my 4 iron more consistent and as long as my hybrid!
The top of that club looks nasty as tho it's been painted on with a globby black paint. much prefer the high gloss finish of my Titleist hybrids. Agree about the comments about Adams rebadged too.
Given the price points and the marginal variation or improvements in clubs not sure upgrades are warranted. More can be achieved by golfers sometimes just tweaking existing clubs - maybe a 5 year upgrade cycle- and even more by improving bother aspects of their game and preparation - fitness, nutrition, course management, better practice system, pre shot and shot routine including pga (posture grip and alignment) that being said I am looking to fill a gap between my 6 iron and my 3 super hybrid. So far have tested and ruled out the paradigms, ping g430, cobra and more. Short listed only a previous years club - apex hybrid and will soon test the stealth 2 to see which if any give me the two filler and best numbers especially landing angel, tight dispersion, least drop off on off centre hits and looks sound and feel of course against the apex - now good value as a new one coming out later this year and prices dropping so may well me my choice unless the tm’s really outdo it. But bootpm line all clubs are good these days. All have great tech and all will only give marginal if any improvements over last couple of years models. Invest more elsewhere.
I have a 2H coming in next week. With my game it replaces the 5W which was inconsistent at best for me. I thought I would like the base Stealth2 hybrid more but after hitting the plus it seemed to work better.
Hi Thomas - which loft did you get in the Stealth 2 Plus rescue? Did you find the club wanting to go right on your or was it more neutral? I'm interested in the Stealth 2 Plus but afraid it might go too much right on me as my misses are usually a slice.
@@gary-gt-tsang 9 degree head. I have it at 9.75 degrees in loft. I didn't see a right bias on the Plus but I am guessing it could be for a natural slicer of the ball. There is the adjustment slider on the bottom but mine is set at neutral right now. The 2 is a 17 degree head, no changes in loft or lie. In all honesty, go and hit them at a shop before buying. You should see right off the bat on a trackman or GC what the club will do.
I think titleist makes the best hybrids. For me the ts2 tsi2 tsr2 all as good as I can find. I don’t like square shaped hybrids. So callaway is out. Never felt Taylormade hybrids were as good quality. I didn’t love the dispersion. Ping play well. I just can’t get past sound and feel. Cobra are nice, just don’t love the sound or feel as the titleist
Hey what are your thoughts on the Qi10 max hybrid vs Stealth 2 HD Hybrid i currently have the 3 and 5 hybrids in the stealth 2 HD and love them BUT i need a 4 hybrid am i better to find an HD in the 4 hybrid or is it a better jump to the Qi10 max in the 4 hybrid ? please inform cheers from Vulcan Canada
That crown looks like plastic shrink wrap. Need to talk about offset. Most TM hybrids (and woods) are toed-in /closed. Not sure you want a hybrid that goes as far as your fairway!
Oohh...salty 2 - NIL loss on a pair of cheap goals. Thank you JR Golf for picking me back up. Can't wait to see the vid on adjusting lofts....Im always doing that with my 5 wood.
I'm always looking to get new clubs, but I have yet to find a driver that can outperform my SIM 2. I do love my Ping 425 hybrid, but I will definitely go try that Stealth! Thanks James.
I have an old Cobra Speedzone hybrid 3 and I am might replace it this year. I am considering the new Mizuno, but I will have to compare with the Stealth 2 before I make a decision.
It's interesting that this club is hyped as having a "new" shape. It's the shape Barney Adams created decades ago. Nobody designed clubs better than Barney Adams. Taylormade thought so, too, and acquired the Adams company. They've been using the technology ever since.
Pretty happy with my Sim Ti fw woods but I will start the season with a couple of Callaway Apex19 hybrids. Just have to wait and see if they will stay in the bag for the entire season.
I've noticed broke people hate on new golf clubs. If you can't afford it don't hate. Yes it's obviously gonna have similarities to oldies but it isn't the same. People just wanna make themselves feel better because they cannot afford it. 🤣😂
Looks strikingly similar to my ping Answer 3 hybrid, which I've had in my bag for the past 10 + years. Didn't look like a cheat code the way he was hitting it. Looked pretty easy to hit a poor shot with actually. Probably is a very good hybrid though based on the design. Taylormade does make some sweet clubs.
I use the other style stealth hybrids I wouldn't be without em now a think using 4 n 5 irons are going n even put a 7 wood in the bag 🙂🏌👍Well done James 👏
It's a knock-off of the Adam's hybrid, and looks + performs the same- its 6 year old technology- stolen from Adam's years ago! But instead of getting bad publicity and copyright problems, fines etc Taylor Made purchased Adam's!! 👍
I've got a Tp Rescue from 2008 with a 95 gramme Aldila Voodoo shaft in it that I took out my bag last year.... I've got a SIM 2 hybrid and now a Ping G425 both fitted. I'm a hairs breadth away from putting that TP Rescue back in my bag. They just don't make them like they used to.
I’m happy with my stealth driver, stealth HL fairway and stealth plus hybrid,as I only got fit for them in September last year,if I changed my clubs so soon my wife will castrate me
Hey James you know I've read about your bio and you have your hands in many pots as they might say , so good for you, I see there's so many negative criticism out there when you try to do positive things in life, I call them unhappy Haters, just wanted to say F,,,, them and keep running with what you do, I can definitely see honesty in you and that all you need, Great review and yes Hybrids are a very versatile golf club my favorite in the bag , kinda never let's you down lol.!! That's a solid hit for a 23* 7w. I have a 9w that is 24* and I can't get close to that without losing accuracy.

The crown looks like a bad fiberglass job.
Totally agree with Awesome Bill, save yourselves £200ish and buy an Adams hybrid from years ago!🤔🤔
The shiny duct tape on the top looks awful
Agreed it looks cheap something you would get from tat shop.
great review! I really like how you used the shot tracer. which app are you using for these?
James, I can't state this enough, but your new swing? BUTTER. You strike the ball so much better, it's insane to compare. PLEASE do not revert.
are you forgetting to put Leadbetter's instruction into practice already? Peter Cowan must be rolling his eyes too.
James, love the reviews. That's not rough, that's my home course fairway 🤣🤣
TaylorMade must have a huge influencer marketing budget.

Your bag very similar to mines
Got rid of my Stealth driver and replaced it with Cobra. But not the Aerojet, the Ltdx!
The top of this club looks bad should of stayed with the matte look
I'm moving away from hybrids. I just picked up a Titleist Tour model 1 iron 🤣

Looks like its got duct tape on the back ..
The top looks really ugly. Reminds me of when we were at school and had to cover our exercise books with wallpaper.
I'm still playing with my M3 17-degree hybrid. I love it, but it is now starting to look tired. Don't want to change it as it is so reliable!!!
Just got a slightly used one , so far I like it from the 180 plus range. I’ve hit two greens in regulation that I normally can’t get to
The top of that club looks nasty as tho it's been painted on with a globby black paint. much prefer the high gloss finish of my Titleist hybrids. Agree about the comments about Adams rebadged too.
Your rough is our fairways at our local course lol
Just got the Stealth 2 5w. It’s just incredible and a real weapon even in my talentless hands.
Morning from Bama!! Coaching some footy this weekend but I've gotta find time for my JR Golf vids....esp for a Hybrid. I am in 🥰

So they repainted a Adam's hybrid from 10-15 years ago and market it as cheat code technology golf club 🤦♂️

they are damn good value secondhand!😎

That’s not the rough, I don’t see any bare ground with a few small gum tree branches on it.
I am actually still very happy with my M5 BUT I do have SIM2 fairway woods in my bag
What happened to Leadbetter’s start position????
That’s a nice hybrid. Titleist are releasing a new hybrid next month, so I’m curious to see if they’ll style it similar to the new Taylor Made hybrid.
Would love a straight comparison between this and the Sim2 players hybrid. I would bet there is no difference apart from the crown of the head
I agree I want to see that as well
