I bought a used car that I knew had been repurchased by the manufacturer (lemon) at 500 miles. There's not a thing wrong it. The problem is I can't find why it was ever lemoned in the first place. It apparently got fixed but there's no record of it that is accessible to private parties. I love the car. Got a great price on it. I've driven it now for over 40k miles. No problem.

What about those online sellers like Carvana?

They are certified and different than an independent dealer. You may have to pay more, but Carvana and Carmax are more reliable, but more expensive

@@wysta01 Actually in 2023, #CarMax sold me a lemon. It had "20,000" miles on it, but less than 6000 miles later, it already had to have more than $3,000 of work done under the hood. Turns out that engine was only made for 2 years on top of it all. Thanks, #CarMAXX ! of and thank you Florida for no protection for the consumers, because I found out a car cannot even be classified as a lemon, if it gets sold after more than two years of age. SO, basically the lemon Law is only for NEW Vehicles. Why have a "Lemon Law" at all ? 🤷‍♀

Why don't you name and shame the car manufacturer? This is not surprising at all if you bought a Chevy, Ford, Hyundai, BMW etc. If this was a Toyota or a Honda I'd be VERY surprised

    I bought a Hyundai accent 2010 lemon
    TOOK IT BACK TO
Cloninger ford in Hickory nc . They sent me to the Hyundai dealership for a diagnostics
    Cost me $180.00
    Car had never been
    Service. Over $2000.00 worth of
Repairs . Warranty first automotive. That all general maintenance . I pay $2800.00 down on this car
    Plus been walking
    Ever since
Timing belt went out . Should I let them repossess it
    Or get a Attorney
I'm not spending any more money
on it . Hamptondavis1966 Davis Davis
