Big boy may not be the most classy looking thing but I never stop getting my mind blown by what this great beast is capable of. I'd take it over a european chugger any day.

I've got last year's model of 9F 92212 from the 1:1 Collection from Hornby, and I have to say it is absolutely fantastic. I'd recommend seeing if you could get a model of 92212 because it is really fantastic.

i know this is way late but here goes technically the strongest engine in the uk wasn't the 9f. if you're talking about power rating, then yes, it would be, but if you're talking about tractive effort it would be the midland railway 0-10-0 lickey banker, also know as "big bertha", second being the lner p1 mikados. the p1s were scrapped before nationalisation, and i think big bertha was scrapped in the mid-1950s but was never given a proper classification in midland railway, lms, or br days
I know I've mentioned it previously, but I'd love it if you'd check out a PRR F1 Duplex. I don't know if it's possible, because I can't use these sims due to my lack of a pc. But I encourage you to look because one of them is being built from the old blueprints and it very well may bust open mallards record.

@@charlatanproductions4190 well the 9F was the pinnacle of british steam, yes the big boy is more powerful, but that's because freight became the most popular job for railways as planes took over passenger work, but in the uk they didn't have that problem, but in the uk we do have garrat locomotives like the U1s which are similar.
I believe that the 9F would realistically win, considering that they were historically used as express engines on British Railways when a Britannia couldn’t make it to pull the train
Big boy is a freight engine, and a mighty engine in general. but mallard, however weak it may be, was built for speed. If it's gonna happen I ask that he at least put some heavy loads on both the engines to even up the odds

There is a glitch in the big boy where have to many cars and when you put the throttle to 100% and the train will slow down to a stop.
