Just put a few bucks more in to it and get a 5600x/5700x, i had the 3600 and it is the bare mininum to game nowdays and way to anemic for everything that doesn't just let ur GPU take most of the workload, it made sense a few years ago but not worth the money now.

Are you sure you test the rx 6600 version i have the same card and it only runs with 100 W and and the c clock is around 2400- 2500 max on my B550 pro4 board it looks like you have the xt version of this card or you overclock it or maybe the old a320 board do some crazy stuff with this card i mean on my old b 450m board was the c clock high to like a rx 6600 xt version hmm
i increased my card power limit from 100watt locked to 120Watt unlocked Core clock and Memory clock are on default and its a Asus Variant.. ..Check Video intro again
@@pcgamingbench Ah ok i dont saw it it was so fast that i dont noticed I was just surprised that someone with the same card as me has totally different clock rates and watt power i test now sons of the forest same options with 120 watt unlock but the c clock is the same max 2489 ^^ maybe it is bec of the pci 3.0 i use this card on 4.0
I see hard fps drops sometimes on all the benchmarks for this combination of cpu and gpu. I bought the graphic card some days ago and my actual r5 1600af is bottlenecking too much I think. I am waitting to receive this r5 3600x that I just bought, I chose it because I think was worth for 50 eur instead of paying 160 for a r5 5600x. I guess it should be a high improve but lets see, I supose I can live with a few fps drops if the average is 50+ fps.
Its definitely a high improvement, im still running an r3 3100 with rx6600 , no issues at all , if there is to be its hardly noticeable
@@GodlikeGT Yeah it was definwtly an improvement. I play most of the games of the last year in high settings, but starfield wich is so bad optimized. I didn't try the most recent ones like dragons dogma, but I am quite happy with the performance.
@@Patxi__ dragons dogma runs good dont worry , currently i am also playing forbidden west , in very high settings , 55-60fps stable
In some areas it sure drops to low 50’s but turnind down shadows and abbrevations will help for stable 60
@@GodlikeGT Yeah for games more old than 1 year I think it works fine overall in 1080. Not sure about about the most recents but probably decent.

@@pcgamingbench bro if i could afford R5 5600x or i5 12th gen i would not even bother to asked…..both the cpu and their Motherboards are quite expensive in my country because sellers are still Greedy just like they were greedy in 2021 I hardly got a good deal for rx6600 in $305

disappointed that dead space doesn't run at a solid smooth 60 fps

Im have i5 3450 with rx 6600 and have stuttering like 20-80 second not bad, But is still so annoying soo what if i changed cpu to Ryzen 5600 stuttering stop or is problem a game? (the Witcher 3 next gen)

Forst is very intensive i can play almost everything on 1080p high medium but in forest 12 fps high 19 fps ultra low :D

i test on medium because most people will play that game with medium-high setting with this gpu and second thing...on ultra setting or even on high setting game uses 8gb+ vram so its unplayable

Why are you using R5 3600? It's kind of old. Not old old but it's getting there. You could have used a 5600x instead. I have one you can have. Or at least a 9th of 10th gen Intel chip. I have a z490 board I'm not using and a 10700k.
Thanks...Will Upgrade to 5600x next month but i think 3600 is also fine it can run all modern games without any issue and i have almost no bottleneck

Yes these are good for 1080P...but I suggest you to buy 6600xt instead of 6600 and try to get B450 motherboard for future upgrades

3600 has 32MB cache, 4500 has only 8MB, it will be big difference in gaming... for example R5 3600 is about same performance in gaming as R5 5500 because 32MB vs 16MB cache. And what is why R7 5800x3d are so good at gaming 96MB cache helps a lot.

I would say its on the limit, gpu usage in some games, time to time drops below 90%(it should be 95%+ all time), so it means cpu sometimes can't keep up, and what suffers most is 1% lows. So if you play 1080p and want something better then rx 6600 you should thinking about upgrading your cpu.
