Final doesnt need to be placed to spell Final it needs to be placed in the order F first I next then N, A, and Lastly L. Doesnt matter where on the board they're placed.
+Vadoom 335 I don't really play irl, but I do have a few of the handheld games and I've pulled off plenty of wins with Destiny Board. So long as you keep to single activation spell cards or traps you plan to use next turn, you just need a few monsters for defense. Granted, game AI is certainly a lot stupider than human opponents, so there's that to take into consideration.
kurosakikun96 well, i've owned GX Spirit Caller. it doesn't place them in order, but it doesn't include that part of the effect, so as long as you have all 5, you win, no matter what order they're in.
Cross Worlds funny, I played Spirit Caller, and the Destiny Board combo was my main strategy, I remember it playing the cards in the correct order, however the placing of the cards on the field didnt matter, as the game places them automatically, starting from the centre
well yeah, that it did. i thought it was as in it had to be in order on the field itself, rather than the order it as brought out in. but then again, Spirit Caller has a few.... typos, and it was my first experiance with Destiny Board.
kurosakikun96 The official ruling on Destiny Board, as I understand it, is that you must simply put the spirit messages out in the correct order (meaning that you activate I first, then N, then A, then L). What zones you actually have them in doesn't matter. Just that you activate each letter in order.
Final Countdown is one of the few cards that has a lingering effect. It doesn't matter if you get it off the field, or even banish it... You have to full on negate the activation.
don't worry about the propper order. quote wiki: The "proper order" in the text of "Destiny Board" means the order the Spirit Messages are placed on the field, not the order that they occupy your Spell and Trap Card Zones. So if you read your Zones from left to right as N-F-A-I-L, it is okay as long as they came on the field in the order of F-I-N-A-L. Also having a card in your spell and trap zone won't make it impossible. you just have to wait until you get rid of your spells and traps. then Final will continue to spell out normaly.
I just made my girlfriend a Kuriboh deck that runs Final Countdown and Exodia filled with Life Regen cards and cards that allow her to draw more cards. I'm actually scared of it.
I have an unopened Yugioh kit that gives you exodia(full set) along with 60 cards and a coin. I haven't opened it when I was young because I was grounded when I got it and forgot about it. guess I was lucky huh?
Hey, don't forget Creator of Miracles! Here's how it works: 1. Have an opponent's card send "Creator of Hope" to the graveyard to initiate its effect: Before your next Draw Phase, and only if your Life Points are lower than your opponents, shout "I'm feeling the flow!" and move a card in your Deck to the top. 2. When your opponent controls a monster and you control none, activate "Winning Formula". Shout "The Winning Formula is complete!" and special summon a "Number" monster (except "Number C" monsters). 3. To activate "Creator of Miracles"'s effect, you need to control a "Number C39" monster. You can summon one by tributing three level 5 monsters (or, in "Utopia Ray"'s case, either three level 4 LIGHT monsters, or using a "Number 39" monster as an Xyz material). 4. Have "Creator of Miracles" on the field and activate its effect. Shout "ZEXAL field!" You know, 'cuz shouting shows your opponent you're taking the game seriously. The "Number C39" monster can attack your opponent directly this turn. Because you activated "Creator of Hope" and "Winning Formula" earlier in the duel, you win the game if the C39 monster successfully inflicts damage. All in all, should be a cakewalk. There's just no way it could go wrong!
in Yu Gi Oh legacy of the duelist when you use destiny board it just ignores the "has to be in order" thing since it automatically buts the cards in specific spots. If you get all of them out you win doesn't matter the order
Number 88 gimmick puppet of leo is unstoppable when combined with two dragons: armed dragon lvl 10 to deal with enemy monsters and Number 107 neo galaxy eyes tachyon dragon to stop the effects of their cards. bam! perfect victory formula. actually not as hard as you might think, i have been in several situations where i could have pulled off this combo if i had the armed dragons and gimmick puppet of leo (which i am ordering on amazon right now XD)
From playing the Tag Force games: I'd use Destiny Board every now and then because it is quite effective, in those games at least the arrangements of the letters didn't matter (since first set card is in the middle anyway, it would require activating cards just to open up zones in order again) and if you don't have enough space in your spell/trap zone, it just won't activate the next card until you clear that space, so it's just delayed is all. I don't think it should be that strict in the irl game.
I wish that The Creator God of Light, Horakthy was worded so that instead of winning the moment it's summoned it instead cannot be affected by any card effects, cannot be destroyed, has infinite attack and does piercing damage. That way you at least have an unstoppable monster to watch your opponent flail against pathetically instead of just having the duel be over.
Geno Stellar lol yea being able to attack your opponent with a monster that has infinite attack and can't be destroyed or countered by anything would be so awesome lol
If you ask me, anyone who actually manages to summon Horakhty to the field deserves to win the duel, especially if they're using a TCG Advanced deck. That's gotta take an insane amount of skill to pull off.
+Adam Abuelheiga I have done it a few times, each time my opponents actually congratulated me on it because it is such a pain in the ass. This was about a year ago that i was running the deck so it was a lot different meta than it is now. People assume that just because you summon the god cards that you should basically win but sadly even the god cards haven't aged well with all the power creep over the years. They have some good effects but are far from the unbeatable behemoths they used to be. My old " God of light" deck strat involved a lot of lock down and multiple special summons per turn.
+Adam Abuelheiga I won so many games on ygopro with horakhty. qli engine pre-nerf was an awesome god tribute deck. I could even summon god cards at my first turn easily. My best moment: having 3 sliffers on the field. Oh, you summoned something? -6000 attack/defense, grave.
+Fallen Deus Its not that they aged badly though, even the anime gods weren't really that unbeatable since the beggining, also i read in a random wiki that those could still be removed with non targeting effects so it woud be damn funny if only cards like D.D Warrior Lady/Assailant would be used in the anime, at keast Kaiba used D.D warrior XD
Azneyes. in reference to the creator god of light. there is a way to do it on turn 1. the owner of the Dawn Of a New Era server fro YGOPro uploaded a video of me doing that. i can link it if you would like, just to prove its possible with legal cards also for everyone saying jackpot 7 win condition is hard, its not. its the silliest deck ever and can be made in sync with the current banlist :) thank you for your time
Yeah but most of them are impossible to pull of as well. I only managed to win with Phage, Near-Death-Experience and Battle of Wits (really don't recommend this one) so far.
On World Championship 2010 for the DS, there's a Free Duel CPU that uses Destiny Board. I had to stall the board from being completed by using Spatial Collapse until I got Dust Tornado or Mystical Space Typhoon. I got lucky by not losing to it.
Running the destiny board in an archfiend deck could work since you'd most likely have pandemonium on the field when you activate it. Make your opponent waste mst on the field spell then pull out the destiny board. You could also run mask of darkness and hidden book of spell to regain the pieces you lost if the destiny board was foiled mid-way.
I always ran venoms with Reptilianes, such a fun combo especially trolling large monsters into attacking a faced down naga with spirit barrier . Its a shame that hardly anyone plays reptiliannes or even Ancients anymore
Definitely Venoms, considering the archetype lacks their own monsters and hates everything else. Venoms are far from competitive but they are fun in a sadistic kind of way.
Wow, who told you you had to spell "Final"? It's cool, yes, but nothing on the card says it has to be IN A ROW I've won hundreds of game with my FINAL deck, and half the time it looked like "AIFNL" and I still won. Take a look at the rules a little more before you make assumptions the only real weakness is the fact that it hogs all of your spell and trap zones, and the fact that 1 MST ruins it.
The card eff states the following : "If you control the "Spirit Message" cards "I", "N", "A", and "L" in the proper order, you win the Duel." So no, you have to spell it. I don't know how you won like that, but my guess is that your opponents didn't pay much attention to the card text.
Li Shenshung Again, get your rules straight before you make yourself look stupid. When it says "proper order" as in, when you play it. Play ANY of the games, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, Tag Duel 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, ALL of them don't give a crap about arangement, as long as they are played in the proper order. ================================= *OFFICIAL RULES FROM THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE* _The "proper order" in the text of "Destiny Board" means the order the Spirit Messages are placed on the field, not the order that they occupy your Spell and Trap Card Zones. So if you read your Zones from left to right as N-F-A-I-L, it is okay as long as they came on the field in the order of F-I-N-A-L._ ================================= THE OFFICIAL JUDGE HAS ALREADY RULED AGAINST YOUR LOGIC!!!!! Please, go check your facts before commenting. I don't want you to make yourself look stupid again by posting baseless and ignorant assumptions with no support. Just because _you_ think something, does not mean the official rules are like that.
u just have to put them frist the f then i then n then a then l they can end aifnl but it is the order that i go to the field that counts not the word that is written on the field
Soul Charge & Magical Merchant works really well now. With luck, you can mill out all 3 Gods through Magical Merchant's effect before getting Soul Charge. Then, you just need to get Horakhty in your hand and you pretty much win. It's pretty consistent with a bit of luck.
You can't special summon Ra you have to tribute summon for.it so Ideally you'd magical merchant till you killed slifer and obelisk then soul charge for those 2 and 2 other monsters then sac 3 for ra and then those three for horakthy
I have used Exodius a bunch of times and won duels. You need a gold sarcophagus or different dimension capsule. Use it to get Exodius to your hand. Then play the field spell mound of the bound creator to protect it from effects. Also you need mist body to stop your Exodius from being destroyed in battle. You basically win.
I had a pretty hilarious, but hard to pull off deck back in the good old days when Morphing Jar #2 was still legal. The deck uses a loop to mill your opponent to death as soon as the loop starts. There's 4 monsters in the deck: 3x Morphing Jar #2, and 1x Hiro's Shadow Scout. The engine is "All-out Attacks" which description is as follows: "All monsters that are Special Summoned are changed to face-up Attack Position and must attack, if able, during the turn they are Special Summoned." This means that when Morphing Jar#2 is flipped after you special summon the monster(s) in defense they will be "flipped" face up (thanks to "All-out Attacks") thus triggering Hiro and/or Morphing Jar#2's effect again and again until they can no longer draw. However, in order for this to loop properly you need to return 2 monsters to your deck when Morphing Jar#2's flip effect activates. Considering that most of the time Morphing Jar #2 flips because he's attacked - accomplishing this is quite difficult. To make things easier you can put in trap monster cards like metal reflect slime , because when they are returned to the deck via Morphing Jar#2's flip effect they are considered monsters. You could also throw in "Imperial customs" to help both "All-Out Attacks" and your trap monster cards survive. Even with all of this though - it's still very hard to pull off, but if you can manage to pull it off...there's a pretty nice reward: Watching your opponents confused face as they slowly start to realize what's going on (trying to think if they have anything that they might special summon that can stop it). ---- There's only 1 thing I'm trying to remember, it's been a while so I forgot exactly how it works... basically I forgot what determines who flips their cards first due to "All-out Attacks" effect (It's good to know in cases like Ryko, though I'd imagine if morphing jar#2 is flipped after Ryko he'd survive.... but again... that order... )
P.S. Use Hiro's Shadow Scout over Needle worm because an opponent loses when they have no cards and have to "draw". Therefore, by using Hiro's Shadow Scout you eliminate the chance that the opponent can finish you off if the loop was activated on their turn --- it could bite you if they draw effect vieler or if they're playing exodia, but imo that's less likely then them getting a monster in the grave that can break your loop. (Also if you were facing exodia would be dead anyways XD).
***** Just because you dislike Exodia's win condition or style of gameplay it doesn't make others that do scrubs. I don't play competitively very often. I just enjoy playing casually and running decks that thin very quickly and decks that take many risks such as decking out (Lightsworn, etc) hence the reason I enjoy finding fun, non-meta ways to play Exodia. I have played Exodia since I was a child and Yu-gi-oh got me out of a dark place and allowed me to shut out all the crap that was going on at the time therefore, even though I hate what Konami are doing with Yu-gi-oh, I am never gonna stop following it.. Yu-gi-oh was my first card game also and as Exodia was the reason I got into Yu-gi-oh in the first place I feel as though I owe it to the the game to continue playing Exodia. Just grow-up, keep your opinions to yourself and stop eating so much salt.
***** Yeah because playing with solitaire deck is fun. I hope you realized that a duel is between two duelists. Think about it one little minute: your opponent will more likely quit the duel and letting you playing really alone beside being a simple spectator of his own duel. I'm not salty of Exodia, just bored of this lame deck and his lame users that don't understand they are not alone and there is someone else that want to play. Oh and welcome to the internet kiddo, the place where many people don't think like you (and, as you can imagine, no one like Exodia decks). The only people who used thise lame deck are scrubs, not real duelist that really care about the fun.
***** As I mentioned earlier, I "enjoy" finding "non-meta"" ways to play Exodia. That means no FTKs. I also mentioned that I don't take part competitively very often, however what I neglected to mention is that I, of course, don't run Exodia when I do attend locals. I mainly play with my friends anyway and they don't mind me using Exodia. My favourite Exodia deck is Piper Exodia so I wouldn't be able to play it in the meta anyway. P.s. I hate the FTK versions because, as you quite rightly said, the opponent is a "spectator of his own duel". I find it to be rather boring and although I enjoy risky decks, I don't think that adding the stipulation "start with the perfect hand or lose" makes the game very fun, in fact quite the opposite. It makes it very boring and anti-climactic.
The Creator is actually easy to pull off. All you need is a magical merchant and a bit of luck. Flip merchant and mill sifer, oblisk, rah, two copies of Victoria, the creator and at least 1 other monster, then add soul charge from its effect. Soul charge back oblisk, the two victorias, slifer and one other monster. Use victoria's effect to add rah and the creator. normal summon rah by tributing the victorias and the other monster. summon the creator. GG.
+Jarrod Smith That isn't easy... it relies purely on luck, and that luck has to be perfect. Yeah it's doable and probably the best way, but still FAR from easy.
KingOfTheSoulSociety That was just the ideal way, but it becomes more consistent with cards like kuribandit and magical excavation stone, with a LS engine. I had a build which worked quite well. But what i am saying is not so much that it is a consistent win condition, but that it is more consistent than some of the win conditions before it on the list.
@@KingOfTheSoulSociety I used to use a lightsworn alternative strat that had a decent winrate. even when I couldn't win with horakhty, it could still win with the lightsworn dragon, or just xyz/synchro summons. it was not competitive, but still nice to play.
In some video games I played, the game is not strict with the placement of the letters to win. They're the newer ones like Tag Force 6. The much older ones (i.e Duel Academy in GBA) is. The only reason why you would want to use this in a video game is that it gives a relatively high amount of Dp when you win. The enemy AI is also very predictable once you get used to it. You CAN protect Destiny Board, using cards like Stardust Dragon and one of those XYZ monster that requires 2 dinosaur types, and can detach 2 materials from it to stop any card or effect from being played (Evolza... something) . You can also use from-hand protection like Effect Veiler (although this wont do any good against spell and / or trap cards). However, I agree that if you're gonna go so far out of your way to protect something with premium cards that can get you the win via less complicated means, why bother with it?
I think a card that would kind of fit on that list is wave-motion cannon, I know it's not a card with an objective of game winning, but if you're playing it in that conditions it becomes very difficult to make it work
I'm pretty sure nightmare steel cage stays on the field for two turns which does count as you controlling it.... And there's plenty of ways to get rid of monsters without actually attacking them
Kytan Guu Dark Striker Ninja + Arcana Force XXI - The World + Light Barrier + D.D. Scout Plane + Number 88: Gimmick Puppet Of Leo It´s VERY hard to get, but you can lock your opponent and win. If you have 88, D.S. Ninja and The World with it´s Head effect on the field and both Planes on the Graveyard, just use Ninja´s Effect, banish both Planes to banish him. At your End Phase, you can SS all three. Tribute the Planes to activate The World´s Effect, which will skip your opponent´s turn. So you can use Leo´s Effect over and over and your opponent won´t be able to make a move. It´s super hard to pull off and I don´t think you should try it, but I think that´s the best way to make 88 word.
Venonminaga actually isn't too hard to pull off. It's definitely better than the Gimmick Puppet. It wouldn't work against a meta deck, but you can do it fairly easily against low tier decks. You do usually win before you achieve the win condition though.
The best Victory Card: "Victory Dragon" ATK: 2400 DEF: 3000 Effect: This card cannot be Special Summoned. To Tribute Summon this card, you must Tribute 3 Dragon-Type monsters. If this card attacks your opponent directly and reduces their Life Points to 0, you win the Match.
"If this card attacks your opponent directly and reduces their life points to 0, you win the..." M-A-T-C-H. A match has multiple games, so you'd have to pull it near the end of the first game, or the second, if your opponents a game up. And it only applies if your cards attack reduces their life points to 0. If you attack directly, it's not an instant win card.
Lore Wiesel If any card should be forbidden, I reckon it should be Honest. Also, they should limit Judgement Dragon, as it's OP as hell. I mean, it would be fine if you weren't able to special summon, normal summon AND conduct your battle phase after paying a measly 1000 LP to nuke the entire field, sparing Judgement Dragon.
There is actually a card called offering to the snake deity which you can use to destroy your own venominon (any reptile is ok too but for the combo choose venominon) and 2 of your opponents cards to use the effect of rise of the snake deity.
i always used Limit Reverse to summon the king (tosse in the graveyard with Snake rain, then just turning it to defense mode destroys it. and then on your second turn you have a 2500 (or more) ATK monster immune to almost everything.
You can pull destiny board off in an Earthbound Immortal deck(assuming it wasn't super unreliable already), but the thing is you can use Earthbound Wave as backrow, and if they decide to not play cards to screw you over you can return your Earthbound Waves with Wiraqocha Rasca. Everything else can be stalling and effect veilers/tutors.
I have no idea how; I played back 10+ years ago and it was still impossible. You had Harpie's (pre-forbidden), Heavy storm, full set of Typhoons, Giant Trunade, and negating all of these effects was basically impossible with the cards out at the time so....
The Horakhty instant win is actually possible with a dedicated deck focusing on getting the god cards onto the field. In unofficial matches, I've seen it done, but the duels took about 30 - 40 minutes.
In yugioh worldwide edition, the order in which the destiny board letters are on the field did not matter. You didn't necessarily have to spell out the word, you just have to activate the spirit message cards in the correct order.
Seirra Moon I could have it but I still lack a lot of cards so I'm thinking of E-Hero deck hero's bond spell to summon 2 lvl 4 xyz E-hero deck is fusion however I still haven't thought of synchro and ritual
For Destiny Board in the games; the games don't really care about order the cards are on the field, though some do require the activation order first to last INAL/EATH instead of placing order left to right.
Final works with swords if I recall correctly as swords gets dispel during your opponent's end phase, and so does nightmare steel cage if I am not mistaken, so however many swords+ however many cage, + final and wait 4 turns isn't actually all that difficult, the three god card one is stupidly hard, considering of course we are using ban list
I had a deck that had Exodia, Final Countdown, and Destiny Board (I pulled out Destiny Board since then). There was 1 game where I almost had all 3 win conditions, but I was only able to get 2 off.
Spelling of destiny board doesn't matter as long as they come out in the right order. When you activate D you can immediately get E if you activate at the end of your opponents turn. With the addition of dark sanctuary and card guard, it can be pulled off.
You have to send all monsters in your graveyard back to the deck in order to special summon him. So if it's in your hand you need to find a way to reshuffle it or use the imperial iron wall 3 exodius loop so he can't banish himself and you can keep recycling but it's still difficult b/c u need 5 whole turns and by then he'd probably be wiped from the field.
Yeah, this combo is a stretch by all means. But it's theoretically possible xD Instant Wins are bull anyways, they just end up with one person playing Solitare.
+MarklenIngyer Ra cannot be special summoned that plan has ot include being able ot get ra in your hand and get tribute fodder for him + getting the final card on your hand for the SS
In the video games, Destiny Board only requires the Spirit Messages to be played in the correct ORDER (play "F", "I", "N", "A", "L", in that sequence and keep them around). They do NOT need to be spelled out correctly in the S/T zones.
In the games (specifically Legacy of the Duelist) as long as the card for FINAL are DRAWN in the order INAL.. they can be placed in any order as F is always placed centrally
I made a deck based around the horakhty win condition and I was able to pull it off numerous times. I just made a stall deck with cards like giant rat, marshmallon and messenger of peace, and you just have it set up where obelisk and slifer are in your graveyard, you tribute summon ra, special summon obelisk and slifer with call of the haunted and monster reborn and then Horakhty and you win. And the best part is that they can't stop or negate the summon.
You are wrong.. The "FINAL" is my favourite deck and the most easiest deck I can summon. I had been winning using the x2 "F,I,N,A,L",with x3 Nimble Momonga, and x3 "reptile soldier" that recover a card, x2 card of destruction, x1 Exchange of the spirit. Simply, I do not need to consider my monster attack, because I have all the "Negate Attack","Proud Roar",etc. Of course in order for me to get "F" as soon as possible, I also added x3 "Shuffle", x2"Charity Grace", etc to ensure that my cards is not overdraw, because "I need to make sure 60% of my card in graveyard", ready for the reversal. Lastly, I also got monster like "Spell Canceller, Jinho" etc to prevent my spell card zone destroy (Usually counter when F,I,N is on spot". So basically, it's more easier than 20 rounds, summon stupid God cards, or complete 5 cards of Exodus in your hands. Tips: Getting F is priority, because the cards have 50% got get FINAL, it's also reduce defense power to get monsters or counter attack spells/traps. My deck consisting this elements has 90% to win. the 10% is due to unlucky hand only.
I run a venom deck.....Yes I know it 2016! F*#k You! Billy deck for the win! .....I also hope they print the Thorn prisoner cards, that way my BDSM Final countdown deck will finally Work!
+Mr.Northwind no matter the meta some things really never change.... like the brokeness of bringing Venominaga with a trap that was supposed for really weak monsters other than that other trap intended for her lol, so don't ever feel shame of running what you want and feel skilled for any meta. Like a friend that uses Destiny Board with the Herald Rituals, the Seraphs and Kristya XD
MrBadBricks Not really the place to discuss preferences, but lets just say the Thorn Prisoners have an appeal to me. Other then the ascetics however, they use a tactic that really needs more attention in a game so bogged down in autopilot aggro. The game needs a strategy that makes damage oriented players fall back on their heels, something that disrupts the all-out aggressive styles and punishes them for their lack of versatility. In short the game needs more rouge decks, more of the unorthodox and more of the unexpected. Thorn Prisoners are a good if lackluster start. Right now I'm hopping they print the existing cards in the archetype along with a little support, specifically the backboard protection needed to run this kind of strategy. (Hint: Imagine this deck with Chain energy)
Dude if you think a venom deck is wierd in 2016,i play a gimmick puppet lockdown deck in 2016.it actually handles eveything but performapals and harpies very easily
well, we kind of have all the techs and stuff to be original and mess with the meta cause afterall there's tons of cards out there, except people is just lazy... but i agree with you, and that's why i love the older sets the best, they're more focused on giving generic tactics support rather than milikng the archetypes in turn though
Since you can't have any Spells or Traps on the field to activate its effect, either having an attack-lock and plenty of other monsters to spare him from card effects seems like the only way to keep Leo active Sincerely, please explain how you do it; I'm wanting to try Gimmick Puppets, but with Leo having to be defenceless in order to use his effect, it stumps me how winning with it is possible when he's such a big target
Proto AndPals According to the card itself, there just has to be nothing there when you activate the effect, unless there was some errata or I'm specifically out of touch with particulars thanks to not actually playing this. So theoretically, as long as you got rid of them in the opponent's phase, setting a trap card would be fine after you activate the Destiny Counter effect. Still probably counterproductive unless it's a very wide-range trap.
LoDDestroyer Well, it DOESN'T say it has to be done during Main Phase 1, only that you cannot conduct your Battle Phase that turn or have Spell or Trap cards on the field when you activate his ability, so I guess you can use its effect during Main Phase 2 while your backrow is empty, then put down your protection Still, with a Rank 8 3200 ATK powerhouse on your field, that's still a big target for your opponent to take out, so it'd be the best bet to use Leo's ability with an empty backrow, then put down as many protection cards as you can; Scrap-Iron, Dark Bribe, Mirror Force, Spelbinding Cylinder, either Solemn, pretty much anything that can save him for three turns and keep the Destiny Counters on him
The "proper order" in the text of "Destiny Board" means the order the Spirit Messages are placed on the field, not the order that they occupy your Spell and Trap Card Zones. So if you read your Zones from left to right as N-F-A-I-L, it is okay as long as they came on the field in the order of F-I-N-A-L.
destiny board backup: if any of the letters are destroyed, flip summon mask of darkness to get destiny board back in your hand, flip summon magician of faith to bring back one letter per flip. keep them alive, your opponent faces their demise
To answer the question about Destiny Board in the games, as I've used it a lot (I've even got a deck in one game that's all win-condition cards, Exodia, Destiny Board, Final Countdown, all that stuff), they changed the wording for the game. They removed the bit about them needing to be in the correct order.
My old instant win deck had Exodia, Final Countdown, and Destiny Board, three Sangan, three Witch of the Black Forest, three Reload, three Pot of Greed, three Graceful Charity, and other cards like that. It was undefeated, but I rarely used it.
I am playing a destiny board deck now and is a lot of fun. Most people think that is very easy to stop destiny board and it is but most people are not expecting this deck so they end up not knowing what to do or either dont have a side for it. Plus, since the deck is build to make the battle go on for hours you might even win by deck out
I run that deck. Love it. You can't win turn one with gift cards. They have to be set. Bad reaction is good and nurse does the same thing but it's a monster.
I remember playing the venominaga deck on yugioh online, and must've pulled that win condition like once. All you need is a lot of suicidal sneks to buff up your venominaga.
For Exodius summon a piece of Exodia (preferably a limb that increases his atk points instead of the head that does not) then special summon Exodius then use Creature Swap and select the piece of Exodia and have exodius attack that piece and the actual attack will send another piece from hand or deck and that's how you get two pieces of exodia in the graveyard by exodius along with 2000 atk with a single attack.
I used to use a Dark Magician deck on Dueling Network with Destiny Board. I had great success with Destiny Board, it even saved me multiple times in a duel, where otherwise I would have lost.
I made an exodia deck on legacy of the duelist which is just 1 of each exodia piece, 3 copies of heart of the underdog and 32 of the most defensive low cost normal monsters. It is a monster.
What if you ran Destiny Board in a Six Samurai deck? You can negate any spell/trap your opp uses and they can only use one per turn if you get your combo off. Then you run maybe a couple breakthrough skill since those can be used any time and can be reused in the grave
My ultimate win combo is "Woodland Sprite and butterfly dagger Elma" Most people don't know about that. you didn't mention it its the most OP most Easiest MOST CUTEST instant win card combo. Play down your woodland and cycle your dagger till opponent hits 0 bam instant win the the cutest most deadliest card combo :3
Final Countdown is a card with a long waiting period. I have been known to blast opponents in 5 turns or less. 20 turns might as well be an eternity. As far as Gimmick Puppet and Ven-nom-i-na-ga are concerned, there is a little card called Counter Cleaner that removes ALL counters on the board. Besides, Vennominaga is easy. All you need are three cards to forever stall its victory: A monster, Astral Barrier and Spirit Barrier. SB will negate all battle damage if you have a monster on the field. AB will turn all attacks into direct attacks which keeps your monster from being destroyed in battle. You throw those two traps down with a Gladiator Beast Heraklinos on the field and you can stopgap magic and trap cards, which kills all but monster effect sourced monster card destruction.
Combining Destiny Board with the card Curse of Royal can work. Curse of Royal is a trap card that, when activated, will negate and destroy any spell or trap card that your opponent plays. Basically, have Destiny Board F (or D) in the first slot, and place Curse of Royal in the last slot. As you play the cards, use Curse of Royal when (and if) it's needed to protect the cards. If you get to the end, and Curse of Royal is still there, activate it (it'll do nothing) and place your last card.
***** You can't activate cards that you know will be unable to resolve properly. So Curse of Royal will end up clogging the board, leaving your backrow completely filled and you unable to Set more S/T defenses.
An opponent once used that Gimmick puppet against me and he had 2 counters on it. Then I used mind control...
LOL
This comment made me choke on a cookie
Suhel Chowdhury damn, that's awesome XD
mind control wouldn't work since he isn't normal summoned
Talibor Pelusic Mind Control. Not Brain Control smarty pants
One time I used a Destiny Board deck with only 4 letters and spelled out "F" "A" "I" "L". Then I proceeded to forfeit.
pizza87760 gr8 story m8 r8t 8/8 *sad song starts playing* (pretty good XD)
Lol
Fake.
Haa haa
"I sur"
the "correct order" simply means "I" "N" "A" "L" have to follow the activation of "F". it has absolutely nothing to do with placement just activation
+Quan Webb good to know that
+Quan Webb Even if it weren't in order or required to be placed to spell it exactly I'm sure no one would run it.
+Chris Stark wasn't saying anyone would run it. I was clarifying the way it works.
+IAmGunzNoob sort of, except when the f is destroyed. because the other letters would also be destroyed
+IAmGunzNoob so to confirm your text yes as long as the others followed destiny board trap activation. ..and that's a boss way to end your duel
Final doesnt need to be placed to spell Final it needs to be placed in the order F first I next then N, A, and Lastly L. Doesnt matter where on the board they're placed.
I feel so acomplished since i got destiny board to win a couple times its tough but do able
+Vadoom 335 same here its not really all that hard with the right deck and a good draw
+Vadoom 335 PLayed Tag Force 4 and the computer has done it to me
+Vadoom 335 I don't really play irl, but I do have a few of the handheld games and I've pulled off plenty of wins with Destiny Board. So long as you keep to single activation spell cards or traps you plan to use next turn, you just need a few monsters for defense. Granted, game AI is certainly a lot stupider than human opponents, so there's that to take into consideration.
I've won a few time with destiny board and I agree its not easy to pull off.
+Chris worley I almost lost to destiny board in yugioh legacy of the duelist I was so lucky to had win
Destiny Board in the video games is automatic, it plays all the cards in order by letter, the placement of the cards doesnt affect it in them
kurosakikun96 well, i've owned GX Spirit Caller. it doesn't place them in order, but it doesn't include that part of the effect, so as long as you have all 5, you win, no matter what order they're in.
+kurosakikun96 In beginnings of destiny it's my go to card against people who specialize in stone walling but not anti-spel.
ive lost to FINAL more than exodia v.v
lol
i play harpies. i cant lose to final so ive got at least that going for me
I play a normal monster deck so I run into problems with this kinda shit v.v'
+Slime Blue i run a pendulum/normal beatdown where i run mind drain to stop faders and scarecrows
Elesa Brooks oh dear god what have you done you doomed us allXD
Elesa Brooks make sure you use 3 heart of the underdog's and fill it with norms and defensive spells xD
Is Pot of Greed in the deck, too?
Parker Stupified Heart of the Underdog wouldn't work. Not enough Normal Monsters.
Karaf Prof Yes I did
I have an unopened Yugioh kit that gives you exodia(full set) along with 60 cards and a coin. I haven't opened it when I was young because I was grounded when I got it and forgot about it. guess I was lucky huh?
sell it to me
sell it to me
i have it too
how much you want for it
Got this Exodia set with three of Yugi's main decks and tokens
Hey, don't forget Creator of Miracles! Here's how it works:
That's an anime card.......
James Kanber It's an OCG card.
Randomwaffle23 That cannot be used in a duel.
They only have it in OCG for Collectors items. But, the anime version of the card is playable in YGOPRO.
Pity it is
illegal
in Yu Gi Oh legacy of the duelist when you use destiny board it just ignores the "has to be in order" thing since it automatically buts the cards in specific spots. If you get all of them out you win doesn't matter the order
Burning Kitsune Mask you have no idea how many times I lost in that duel because of that win condition holy shit.
Thats why you have negate trap lol, or at least an MST.
Pulling off Destiny Board is really easy as long as you have no continuous spell/trap cards on your field.
You have to survive 5 turns without your opponent killing you or having backrow removal. Not what i'd call easy
Viper's Rebirth is pretty good for venom, since it can special summon venom the king from the grave and lets you activate the effect on YOUR end phase
How on earth did I end up on a yugi-oh video?
It's obvious that u clicked on the video in your recommended section.
Nickolas Marchuk maybe because you clicked on it? Lol
Krono because Darts told you to main
+Krono Davinator infected your computer with a virus that's both biological & digital *rimshot*
Geno Stellar lol yea being able to attack your opponent with a monster that has infinite attack and can't be destroyed or countered by anything would be so awesome lol
but that means you can still lose before attacking, like taking direct damage from effects.
My old " God of light" deck strat involved a lot of lock down and multiple special summons per turn.
prisma:????????
+김현중 the monster for he tribute must be the original ones with the printed names on them, so Prisma and Phantom of Chaos can't work though
Anyone else watching this video 2 1/2 years later and we still don't have a Horakhty print?
YGOPro bruh.
Kurodog i knoe, but we can use it with YGOPro.
Ya but I want to Horakhty someone Irl and be like "Heart of the Cards NIGGA!"
fortant691 "cough" "cough"
_My favorite Win condition is that Rank 4 Xyz monster for Ghostrick (Forgot her name). I use that and the Skeleton deck out Method back and forth._
***** _Yeah_
*Using italics is so cool*
Jammer Lammer -IKR! This is like a habit now lol.-
SoberVision /I like using bold too./
Fuck i failed, we've been compromised
Azneyes. in reference to the creator god of light. there is a way to do it on turn 1. the owner of the Dawn Of a New Era server fro YGOPro uploaded a video of me doing that. i can link it if you would like, just to prove its possible with legal cards
also for everyone saying jackpot 7 win condition is hard, its not. its the silliest deck ever and can be made in sync with the current banlist :)
thank you for your time
In Magic the Gathering, there are 48 Instant Win Condition cards.
Shadow Bladekiss fuck mtg.
Yeah but most of them are impossible to pull of as well. I only managed to win with Phage, Near-Death-Experience and Battle of Wits (really don't recommend this one) so far.
janjesnaju Oh wait, 49 Win Condition cards. Phage the Untouchable. Deal just one battle/combat damage to player and they instantly lose.
o^o
mates got a angel card you cant lose till that card isnt on the field....he wont trade it :P
On World Championship 2010 for the DS, there's a Free Duel CPU that uses Destiny Board. I had to stall the board from being completed by using Spatial Collapse until I got Dust Tornado or Mystical Space Typhoon. I got lucky by not losing to it.
jackpot 7 is the best win the duel condition
Your right.
Youss right.
K3eOne
yup
Seriously, Jackpot 7!
this was made before jackpot 7 fyi
wasn't out yet when this was posted
Makimoke Neko Good thing that card is so legal.
Oh yah i have plenty if those lol
Running the destiny board in an archfiend deck could work since you'd most likely have pandemonium on the field when you activate it. Make your opponent waste mst on the field spell then pull out the destiny board. You could also run mask of darkness and hidden book of spell to regain the pieces you lost if the destiny board was foiled mid-way.
I actually use both The Creator God of Light, Horakhty and Destiny Board decks and have succesfully pulled off them both XD
destiny board is so weak. it got hit by American censorship
Islarf
It would be much more scaring to real 'english' players if it spelled DEATH as per Bakura's theme
lol the card still sucks, even with the "uncensored" version.
***** but that's not the case on what im talking about tho?
***** Still, the name doesn't matter.
***** but, that's what the comment was all about. not how good the card is
Yugituber Exodia The Tormentor uses destiny board successfully and almost beat top tier dragon ruler with it.
Would love to see some more support for Venoms, volcanics and mokey mokey.
too bad there never will be :/ nobody liked venoms or volcanics. they all dickrode heroes and cybers back in the day.
Alex Mattox funny thing is, I love venom & volcanic xD
saaaammmeeee fucking here. loll i wish they had some more damn support.
It's cool, yes, but nothing on the card says it has to be IN A ROW
I've won hundreds of game with my FINAL deck, and half the time it looked like "AIFNL" and I still won. Take a look at the rules a little more before you make assumptions
the only real weakness is the fact that it hogs all of your spell and trap zones, and the fact that 1 MST ruins it.
=================================
*OFFICIAL RULES FROM THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE*
_The "proper order" in the text of "Destiny Board" means the order the Spirit Messages are placed on the field, not the order that they occupy your Spell and Trap Card Zones. So if you read your Zones from left to right as N-F-A-I-L, it is okay as long as they came on the field in the order of F-I-N-A-L._
=================================
THE OFFICIAL JUDGE HAS ALREADY RULED AGAINST YOUR LOGIC!!!!!
Please, go check your facts before commenting. I don't want you to make yourself look stupid again by posting baseless and ignorant assumptions with no support. Just because _you_ think something, does not mean the official rules are like that.
AlphaWolvesGamer Man I thought I was special when I got it off...
Li Shenshung he means that you have to play them in the order F I N A L but in the spell and trap zones they can be in any order
u just have to put them frist the f then i then n then a then l they can end aifnl but it is the order that i go to the field that counts not the word that is written on the field
Horakthy is easier to pull off now with stuff like Soul Charge and Pendulum Summoning (When we get that Pendulum Scale 11)
Soul Charge & Magical Merchant works really well now. With luck, you can mill out all 3 Gods through Magical Merchant's effect before getting Soul Charge. Then, you just need to get Horakhty in your hand and you pretty much win. It's pretty consistent with a bit of luck.
You can't special summon Ra you have to tribute summon for.it so Ideally you'd magical merchant till you killed slifer and obelisk then soul charge for those 2 and 2 other monsters then sac 3 for ra and then those three for horakthy
mikhael hall I never thought about that. Wow, yeah. Never mind, my theory is broken because of one effect.
...And wow, Ra really sucks in general.
Ra is the worst, he's awesome if you have mound of the bound creator out first but other than that he's awful
mikhael hall the anime ra was so much better with all its attacks xD
Anyone remember that dude from Spirit Caller on the DS who always used that FINAL combo?
yep.
I still have Spirit Caller in this day. I've beaten it so many times, just never gets old though.
I still have spirit caller, that fuckhead is too op
Why does nobody know that the real anime use word of the Ouija Board spells out DEATH instead of final? you all believe the censored shit
Sorry m8 we're not all weebs
I use Exodia. I will forever be an Exodia duelist.
***** correction, Exodia scrub.
***** Ah OK.
So we have an agreement here.
That's all right then.
I think a card that would kind of fit on that list is wave-motion cannon, I know it's not a card with an objective of game winning, but if you're playing it in that conditions it becomes very difficult to make it work
Number 88: Gimmick Puppet Of Leo + Nightmare Steelcage = GG
I'm pretty sure nightmare steel cage stays on the field for two turns which does count as you controlling it....
And there's plenty of ways to get rid of monsters without actually attacking them
Nope you can't control leo can't use its effect while you have back row
Kytan Guu Your Better off Making C88: Disaster Leo. His effects are much better.
Kytan Guu Maybe key beetle?
Kytan Guu Dark Striker Ninja + Arcana Force XXI - The World + Light Barrier + D.D. Scout Plane + Number 88: Gimmick Puppet Of Leo
It´s VERY hard to get, but you can lock your opponent and win.
The best Victory Card: "Victory Dragon"
ATK: 2400
DEF: 3000
Effect: This card cannot be Special Summoned.
You have still won instantly though, so it is an instant win card, but it is impossible to pull that off because it is forbidden
lachlan duggan
It's not thpugh. It's only effective in a match. It has no effect in a single duel, unlike the cards mentioned in this video.
Westy
Finally, I know what they were thinking when they made that card XD and why it's forbidden
Lore Wiesel
If any card should be forbidden, I reckon it should be Honest.
I used to win alot with destiny board this was over 10 years ago though
Winning was a little easier back in the day
back in the day destiny board was the bane of my existence.
I have no idea how; I played back 10+ years ago and it was still impossible. You had Harpie's (pre-forbidden), Heavy storm, full set of Typhoons, Giant Trunade, and negating all of these effects was basically impossible with the cards out at the time so....
+Anthony Landrum true
the real instant win condition, anyfin can happen
Destiny Board looks sooooo much better in the Japanese version. :'(
The Horakhty instant win is actually possible with a dedicated deck focusing on getting the god cards onto the field. In unofficial matches, I've seen it done, but the duels took about 30 - 40 minutes.
In yugioh worldwide edition, the order in which the destiny board letters are on the field did not matter. You didn't necessarily have to spell out the word, you just have to activate the spirit message cards in the correct order.
what about the 3 Egyptians god cards
wasnt it like if you sacrifice the dragon of ra and slifer obelisk get infinity atk and def
or was that the anime
+AF57 Only Anime.
The actual effect is that you can tribute 2 monsters and destroy all monsters your opponent controls.
+Kirihum oh but if you do that win cause the effect cannot be negated cant be trageted by spell and trap cards
and obelisk has 4000 atk
+Kirihum you can also just tribute slifer ra and obelisk for the creator of light so either on its gg
AF57 Mirror force
Obelisk destroyed GG
sophia goddess of rebirth? prolly the most improbable otk one could off
Seirra Moon I could have it but I still lack a lot of cards so I'm thinking of E-Hero deck
hero's bond spell to summon 2 lvl 4 xyz
E-hero deck is fusion
however I still haven't thought of synchro and ritual
idk what your talking about, i won with destiny board lots of times :/ but all the other ways i agree with you
Herald of Destiny :)
For Destiny Board in the games; the games don't really care about order the cards are on the field, though some do require the activation order first to last INAL/EATH instead of placing order left to right.
Final works with swords if I recall correctly as swords gets dispel during your opponent's end phase, and so does nightmare steel cage if I am not mistaken, so however many swords+ however many cage, + final and wait 4 turns isn't actually all that difficult, the three god card one is stupidly hard, considering of course we are using ban list
we use to use final win to fake out in our exodia decks
always did :)
I had a deck that had Exodia, Final Countdown, and Destiny Board (I pulled out Destiny Board since then). There was 1 game where I almost had all 3 win conditions, but I was only able to get 2 off.
i never even heard of final countdown before
+Raelarial Skystriker its a bitch
+Marc_Krevvy 20 turns is a looooong time
if they get off some dumb ass defense they win. Kupidzheart
+Marc_Krevvy pretty much
+Kupidzheart still a bitch... with all the dumbass stalling for the deck
also
_DeckDevi_ is LOVE _DeckDevi_ is LIFE
I did the destiny board in YGO GX academy :)
What about jackpot 7? :I
get all 3 in the grave, play 3 revive cards in one turn, bam. Horakitty or whatever you call it works.
+MarklenIngyer or somehow banish all 3 of them and use "Return from the Different Dimension"
+MarklenIngyer Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode would help you out, too.
+MarklenIngyer ra cant be special summoned only the other 2 could be special summoned
Yeah, this combo is a stretch by all means. But it's theoretically possible xD
Instant Wins are bull anyways, they just end up with one person playing Solitare.
+MarklenIngyer Ra cannot be special summoned that plan has ot include being able ot get ra in your hand and get tribute fodder for him + getting the final card on your hand for the SS
easiest "instant win" combo: 3 Judgment Dragon
Theres a Ra sphere mode for that
In the video games, Destiny Board only requires the Spirit Messages to be played in the correct ORDER (play "F", "I", "N", "A", "L", in that sequence and keep them around). They do NOT need to be spelled out correctly in the S/T zones.
In the games (specifically Legacy of the Duelist) as long as the card for FINAL are DRAWN in the order INAL.. they can be placed in any order as F is always placed centrally
For destiny board in the games including ygopro/devpro u just need all 5 cards face up on the field for destiny board
I think destiny boards eff means I,N,A,L in like that order not going like L,I,n,A orso
Yep! That's correct. It doesn't have to spell out the word from left to right, you just have to activate the letters in the correct order.
I pulled off destiny board once.... Once!
My deck consisting this elements has 90% to win. the 10% is due to unlucky hand only.
divine serpent. when on the field you can not lose.
use with mystik wok to get 1 million LP
Pretty sure that effect was anime only
OCG only, yeah and anime
I run a venom deck.....Yes I know it 2016! F*#k You! Billy deck for the win!
.....I also hope they print the Thorn prisoner cards, that way my BDSM Final countdown deck will finally Work!
+Mr.Northwind no matter the meta some things really never change.... like the brokeness of bringing Venominaga with a trap that was supposed for really weak monsters other than that other trap intended for her lol, so don't ever feel shame of running what you want and feel skilled for any meta. Like a friend that uses Destiny Board with the Herald Rituals, the Seraphs and Kristya XD
its ok I still have toons (haven't got the newwer ones yet) and six samurai lol I would use venom if I had it
MrBadBricks
Not really the place to discuss preferences, but lets just say the Thorn Prisoners have an appeal to me.
Am I the only one who uses Leo without fail because I swear to god he is easy to protect =
Since you can't have any Spells or Traps on the field to activate its effect, either having an attack-lock and plenty of other monsters to spare him from card effects seems like the only way to keep Leo active
Sincerely, please explain how you do it; I'm wanting to try Gimmick Puppets, but with Leo having to be defenceless in order to use his effect, it stumps me how winning with it is possible when he's such a big target
The card says that there has to be no spells at the end of the turn meaning you can use spells regularly as long as they do not stay on the field
Proto AndPals
According to the card itself, there just has to be nothing there when you activate the effect, unless there was some errata or I'm specifically out of touch with particulars thanks to not actually playing this. So theoretically, as long as you got rid of them in the opponent's phase, setting a trap card would be fine after you activate the Destiny Counter effect. Still probably counterproductive unless it's a very wide-range trap.
LoDDestroyer Well, it DOESN'T say it has to be done during Main Phase 1, only that you cannot conduct your Battle Phase that turn or have Spell or Trap cards on the field when you activate his ability, so I guess you can use its effect during Main Phase 2 while your backrow is empty, then put down your protection
Still, with a Rank 8 3200 ATK powerhouse on your field, that's still a big target for your opponent to take out, so it'd be the best bet to use Leo's ability with an empty backrow, then put down as many protection cards as you can; Scrap-Iron, Dark Bribe, Mirror Force, Spelbinding Cylinder, either Solemn, pretty much anything that can save him for three turns and keep the Destiny Counters on him
Exactly what I said
The "proper order" in the text of "Destiny Board" means the order the Spirit Messages are placed on the field, not the order that they occupy your Spell and Trap Card Zones.
How to beat Leo, when he has 2 counters just use brain control and activate his effect to win😀
great idea but brain control is now banished
+Gabriel Costa Cardoso lol now we have galaxy cipher dude
+afiq terx Except that monsters taken by that effect, their names and atk change to become like ciphers also monster we effects are negated.
Better idea now, use Relinquished to absorb him then just attack
+PikachuFrankie just use one of the graydles guys
Once in ranked I won with destiny board.
It was so fucking hard to do so.
But I mangaged
Instant =! Automatic
I used to have exodia deck, but one shitty greedy friend sold it.
I use destiny board
I am playing a destiny board deck now and is a lot of fun. Most people think that is very easy to stop destiny board and it is but most people are not expecting this deck so they end up not knowing what to do or either dont have a side for it. Plus, since the deck is build to make the battle go on for hours you might even win by deck out
Bad Reaction + 3x Gift Card, INsta Win turn 1
or Even Nurse Reticule + 2x Gif Card +1x Path of destiny
I run that deck. Love it. You can't win turn one with gift cards. They have to be set. Bad reaction is good and nurse does the same thing but it's a monster.
I win all the time with exodia
First of all ven om min om is how it's pronounced second snake rain is a card but 4 reptiles from deck to grave 4!!!!!!!
Also he has BATTLE PROTECTION read his text when he dies by battle revive him for the cost of exiling a reptile
I remember playing the venominaga deck on yugioh online, and must've pulled that win condition like once. All you need is a lot of suicidal sneks to buff up your venominaga.
In most of the games I've played there is a setting you can change to let you manually choose where to place monster and spell/trap cards.
Good thing I stole all my friends mystical space typhoons mwahhahahahah
Also I use creator God once
+Archer- Gaming, Let's play and more I'm not familiar with that form can you enlighten me
Batman it's also banned
destiny boards is actually one of the easy ones...
I have a Venominaga deck. It works just fine. But to be honest Venominaga usually kills my opponent before the death effect happens.
Now there is a New Win Condition! Ghostrick Angel of Mischief!
you can active leos eff then set backrow, to protect it, you just can't have it there at the activation of his eff
Pulling off a Destiny Board win sounds like the real life equivalent of summoning Zushin the Sleeping Giant in the 5Ds anime.
Also *Card Guards* spam _ftw_
***** You can't activate cards that you know will be unable to resolve properly. So Curse of Royal will end up clogging the board, leaving your backrow completely filled and you unable to Set more S/T defenses.
Magic Planter only eats your face-up Continuous Traps for its effect, and that's as a cost. Surely you don't want to sabotage your own win condition?
