I gave up my album with this song years ago when we got rid of our record albums thinking for sure they're would be a cd of it but I've never found one and it's not on Spotify like Chris Williamson is and am devastated. Can't say how angry i am that i have them up. So thankful it's on RUclips. This song and the whole album gave me such comfort.
Thank you, Meg, for your wonderful music. I first discovered you when I was 30 in the late 70's and when I hear you, I feel that I am back there for a moment. It was a special time, full of discovery and growth. But, no less special than my late 60's!!
I heard this song for the first time when I was deep in my addiction in the early 80s and I didn’t understand it. But I got sober and it all made sense. Thank you, Meg.
It’s been years for me as well, 56. The song just came to me tonight buried in my heart remembered it from so many years ago. I must have sang and performed this song over and over. What a wonderful gift to come up on this and read these comments as well. Thank you.
This song surely saved me when I was a teen living through a rough time. Today the message is no less valuable, though now serving more as a sweet reminder of what I know to be true, rather than telling me something that is new. Thank you so much for posting this song, and all of Meg's music as well as many other Women's Music artists on the LesbianMusic Channel
This is one of the most healing songs I have ever heard. It has brought be through many hard times. Bless your sweet heart, Meg. May your way be bright.
Thank-you so much for the delightful memories - I saw Meg every chance I got- she was an important voice for us woman in the 80's. She still sounds fantastic and is still such an activist - right on! Thanks again, your not alone!
Meg, How did you know my life so well? Hard to believe now we're the elders....but have been around long enough now to have learned but such a painful path. But you, my lady, knew even then. Thank you so much for knowing.....and sharing. DJ
2024 and I found a poster I had swiped advertising a Cris Williamson concert that I attended. That got me searching all the women's music I listened to back then. I remember driving about 4 hours to attend a Meg Christian concert in Tampa. It was at the beautiful Tampa theater.
Twenty five years ago I was driving around Mass Ave in Boston and remembering the 12 steps meeting I had just left and how the women talked about a higher power is such an intimate loving way. I was wondering how it will be like to have such a connection. In my heart I said dear higher power, if you are here give me a sign. I had probably five or six tape cassettes with me and without looking I said ok God, I am going to put a random cassette in and if you care send me a sign. This wonderful song is what played.
I love Meg Christian unconditionlly... Just thought I'd get that down on paper so to speak.... She could sing the phone directory to me (I wish) and I'd love it......
Ran outta space before I could say THANX, for bringing back fond memories of my summers in (Whitefield) New Hampshire! (RE: cov'd bridges? Unfortunately, we're on our way to losing the "quaintness" of how America *used* to be! [What I wouldn't give to walk barefoot on a cobblestone street!]) Thx for this BEAUTIFUL vid to an equally beautiful song! Yes, Christy13044, that's what Women's Music was *created* for. To leave markers & signposts for those who come after.(Enjoy the JOURNEY!)
COVERED BRIDGES! (OMG!) B4 I clicked the "more info" button I thought you'd left out NH but (thankfully), you didn't... Is but one of the things I miss here (in NM) about New England. (& is that a rock wall I saw? Not a REAL one (w no mortar), ie, the "Good Fences Make Good Neighbors," the Robt Frost kind, is it? (Now y'got me jonesin for the farm!) PS: Xpected, "Get down off the ceiling, Joanna..." @ the designated pt. ]:-) Not heard the full version of either, since CarngieHall!
Oh, my Gosh! Thanks for this channel. I have an LP version of "From the Heart" and I know this song wasn't on it (great song though), but I see you have songs from FTH that I can't find ANYWHERE! Thanks again :)

We all turn it over at some point, some of us more that others until we get it right, and even then we still need to turn it over just a little but more to get to that understanding........does not mean we got it wrong in any way.........just means some if us take a wee bit longer to get there and need a wee bit more insight...
Still have this on cassette! 😂❤
Soon to be 64, this song brings back so many memories. Shout out to the old members of Womyn's Space, YWCA, Norfolk, VA long ago and far away.
R u really a hermit?
Haven't heard this in a long while... Still touches my soul and holds even more meaning for me now. Thanks, Meg.💗

Brings tears to my eyes. All those years gone by. The memories and the music. Thank you Meg.
I lived in a dorm at a women's college, a special house of friends there, and one of the girls would play this over and over on her turn table.
